“The best cakes, like seriously, the BEST. Both locations are wonderful and have the kindest staff but tonight I happened to go to the Zionsville one. I promised my kiddos cake and almost had to go home empty handed due to timing but the staff made sure that didn’t happen, thank you so much! You guys made our night. At all events, we received so many compliments about to great everything was. All desserts were delicious, delivered on time and just how I requested them to be. “Looked online to find an authentic French baguette. Sent my husband on a 20 minute drive to buy a loaf. The lady on the phone said that their baker had learned to make the baguettes in France so they were indeed authentic. Husband returned with a $5.00 loaf and when I cut into the very small loaf, it looked like a whole grain piece of bread fom Kroger or Fresh Market. It did not taste like a French loaf nor did it have the texture of a French baguette. So disappointed in the whole experience and will definitely not return for bread!“

“Love them so much because the matcha lattes are so darn good here! Most likely the best matcha in Indiana in my opinion. I live downtown Indianapolis but make it a point to visit every time I’m in Carmel. Please trust me on this because I am from Los Angeles and I love Community Goods and this is the most comparable to the matcha lattes I’ve had in LA AND Miami. While the Pistachio Cream Cloud Donut had an amazingly soft dough, it was a bit too heavy on the cream for us. Loved the nice ambiance and the convenience of direct access from the parking garage!“

“I purchased cakes from classic cakes for many many many years when my children were smaller and then into adulthood for birthdays, graduations, and other events. The cakes were always delicious and beautiful however, there is one designer that does not listen to what you ask for. When you tell her, the team colors are red, she made the cake green. When I told her I needed a sculpture of a specific dog and even sent a picture she made it anything but that dog. I realize that a certain amount of artistic license goes into this, but there were at least 10 times when the cakes were not what was ordered, and I didn’t say anything because I needed to pick them up and take them to the event the day that I picked them up and what do you do when the cake is wrong and you need it that day? Everybody said the cakes tasted good so we were fine, but it is disappointing to not get what you ordered.“

“I took my significant other to dinner here for her birthday, and we both thoroughly enjoyed the experience. The food was excellent, and the service was very timely. Everything was priced at something that I would describe as “student friendly.” We both got up so I could show my partner where the restroom was. While we were gone, someone cleaned our table and took her drink that we purchased that was still about half full. However, our waitress quickly offered to make things right and she took that drink off the bill for us and gave us a discount on the entire experience for the trouble. 5/5 I would recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a fine dining experience.“

The pan francés, which I've had on multiple occasions, consistently tastes old and lacks the freshness you'd expect from a bakery. It's quite disappointing to see no improvement in this aspect.Moreover, I noticed that the staff making the bread do not use gloves or hats to cover their hair. This lack of basic hygiene practices is concerning and definitely something that needs to be addressed. A bakery should prioritize cleanliness and food safety, and El Globo Bakery falls short in this regard.To make matters worse, the cashiers were quite rude during my visit. Friendly customer service is crucial for a pleasant experience, and the attitude of the staff left much to be desired.Overall, while the bakery has potential, these issues with freshness, hygiene, and customer service significantly detract from the overall experience.
