It is one of the only places I know of that has kept their prices completely fair, and the food quality and quantity are fantastic. They have really just kept it simple and it works. “I ordered the fish tacos to go with my complimentary chips and salsa. I stopped here on my way home to Wisconsin after a visit to Mexico on my motorcycle. The food served here rivaled and surpassed the food I had in Mexico. My waitress was very nice and attentive. She allowed me to plug in my lithium battery which I used to charge my phone during my trip. After leaving the restaurant I stayed at a hotel 30 minutes away. I then realized I had no forgot the plug portion of my lithium battery at the restaurant. I called the restaurant and spoke with the owner who informed me that she would be invited that area the following day and volunteered to drop the plug off at the hotels which she did. She was very nice and went out of her way to help me out. This is a restaurant that I will always stop at when I travel through that area. I'm happy to patronize this establishment just because they are such wonderful people and the great food is a bonus.“

“Started with jalapeño Mac & Cheese balls. Initially underwhelmed, because the sauce was cold and the cheese balls similar. Thought I might burn the roof of my mouth with deep fried cheese. But No. the cold sauce had all the heat I could enjoy. My Enchiladas Jayhawk was another positive surprise. Shrimp, scallops and crab meat in three rich covered enchiladas had me appreciaung all immigrants. The only criticism I could muster was that the chips had an odd taste, almost old.“

“Amazing pizza! Worth the drive! We first discovered this in 2020 when we took a drive to Atchison just to get out of the house. We googled “best pizza in Atchison” while we were there and ended up ordering a house special pizza from Pete’s to go. We’ve been periodically driving 50 minutes to Atchison ever since to get a pizza from Pete’s and take it down by the river to eat it. It’s a fun little escape for an amazing pizza! We’ve never found one like it in the Kansas City area. Friendly staff as well.“
