“Adorable shop with an amazing selection of items made in-house. Browse packaged candies and gifts along with items in candy cases such as fudge, chocolate treats, and plenty of unique items throughout the various seasons. Get Gelato during the summer months, too! Always a wonderful place to grab a treat and pick up gifts.“
“What a wonderful little diner filled with a line of regular customers on Friday noon! The burgers are big. The onion rings are crispy. The iced tea is fresh and refills on on the house. Then you leave with a small dish of ice cream or a cone.Parking: Parking is limited, but street parking is available within a short walk.Wheelchair accessibility: Two steps up gets you in the door and the seating does not allow much of a walkway. But J's is called "Carry Out" for a reason. They do a bustling business from the drive through, and you still get your complimentary ice cream! You don't need to get out of your vehicle to enjoy J's.“
“Food was great, had Hawaiian Cheesesteak - chicken, pineapple, onion & teriyaki sauce.Great menu, was tough to choose what to eat. Wish I wasn't 2.5 hours away as it would be a regular stop for me - will definitely hit next time I'm in “
“I love love LOVE Amanda's.We got the #3 Roast Beef, #8 Kickin' Southwest Chicken, with a side of the house coleslaw.First off, overall, the food was delicious. Flavorful, great texture, and not overly salty like most places. The roast beef: on sunflower wheat, wonderful! In the past, the horseradish mayo has been a (very pleasant) kick in the mouth, but it was absent this time. Still my favorite sandwich to eat here. The southwest chicken: pleasant, blended flavors of smoky chili, roasted pepper, melted cheese....Great contrast of the crunchy toasted bread and melty insides. The coleslaw: mild, not sweet or onions, good crunch to the cabbage. The workers are kind and knowledge, and the atmosphere can't be beat. It's full of old friends and acquaintances running into each other, just very positive vibes. The high chair was clean and easily accessible.(They have NATIONAL GEOs laying out for you to read while you wait??! I ADORE this)“
“We were passing through Emporia and a local recommended this place, and sure enough, we had a fantastic meal here. I had the chicken fried steak, eggs, hash browns, biscuit, and gravy, while my wife had the biscuits, sausage, and gravy. The chicken fried steak was the best I've ever had. Biscuits were soft and delicious, excellent sausage, good gravy. Service was super -- attentive, friendly, and accurate. We would definitely return here. Highly recommended!“
“Sadly by the name alone I had assumed that this place was just for Events. But one evening walking around on Commercial St. We seen it was open for dinner.. Surprise!!!!! It's also a very cozy, family friendly, Bar& Grill??. We went in and the staff was attentive and very friendly. If you haven't been here then I suggest you give it a try. The food is fresh and delicious, our dinners were perfectly made and we had fried pickles as a appetizer and even those didn't disappoint, they are freshly hand-breaded when ordered so they aren't just the normal frozen deep fried appetizers. The steaks were perfectly made and very tender. I had the wings with roasted brussel sprouts and it was only $ 11.00. They were delicious and so filling I had to take half of my dinner home.Great job and I wish you much success... Lol, advertise more of your Bar& Grill part of your name.“
“I freaking love this place! Especially now y'all got all that pinball! I've only had one bad experience down there and that was just because of one j*** otherwise the staff is awesome and it's always fun to come in play some games and chit chat.I threw at least $10 into those pinball machines and me and my friends had a blast! Always tip your bartender because they're working hard so we can have fun.Maybe I'll make it down there for St Patty's... seriously one of the best places in town and that's why we call it Royal!“
“Typical diner. My food (biscuits and gravy) had good flavor but it wasn’t hot. If you want 1/2 and 1/2 for your coffee bring your own. They use powdered creamer. I o my went because I was visiting a friend and she recommended we go. I would t go again for the breakfast, at “
“Great place for breakfast. Denise provided excellent service and was so nice. The food was very tasty and so affordable. I will tell all my friends to eat here!Kid-friendliness: Denise was great with my daughter, giving her crayons and a picture to color. Denise made a friend!“
“We went here on a recommendation from a friend. Our food was wonderful. It was served hot and fresh. The server went out of her way to make us feel comfortable. She knew we were coming from out of town. For being a college town, the area at the time, it was not too loud to where you couldn't hear. Thank you for wonderful food, service and making us feel welcomed.“
“Brea was an awesome waitress. Took very good care of us. I hadn't ate there in at least 3yrs or more. Yesterday, they have new owner n redone outside the painting of the building is awesome. Food has changed some options. Was fantastic fish n chips. Huge portion. Everything was ? temp wise. Will be going back again. Thx ? it can get loud at times w a crowd, but it's sports bar.“
“Absolutely fantastic. The restaurant decor and the music played is perfect. The food is incredible and the service is great. We were there on a Thursday and went back the next day because we loved it so much!! We had the burger, chicken sandwich, Kansas City strip, fish and chips, truffle fries and the bee sting over the 2 visits. Oh and the crème brûlée was ahhhhhmazing!!“
