“I've become addicted to their waffle sandwich, BUT DON'T GET ME WRONG, their coffee and smoothies are wonderful too. I've loved them for years, it's just been recently that I love the sandwiches. So I've been going often. Of course the quality of the food/drinks is top notch for fast food (they don't make it 'til you order) and they must pay their workers a decent wage, because at EVERY location (several in Lawrence, a few in KC) the workers are ALWAYS bright, cheerful and make me feel welcome to have stopped through the drive through!“

“The people that work there are well-mannered. They don't accept tips sometimes (Oct 5,2022), the staff will be gone from the stand and no sign will be at the register. High-calorie treats. I usually go to an independent coffee place on the Mass and 7th, which I like better. Still addicting sweet good coffee, which I have only had two times this Fall as a treat for doing lawn work.“

“Great coffee shop and I love the dry bar (non-alcoholic bar). Unique drinks and atmosphere - a great place to meet up with friends. The only food options are a variety of bagels with different kinds of sweet or savory spreads. The drinks are the stars of the show there - I've never had one I didn't like. A little pricey, but a lot of the drink components are made in-house so you're getting quality ingredients and complexity of flavor. A real gem of Lawrence, if you ask me!“

“This place was everything I wanted it to be! Welcoming, pretty, comfortable, nice variety/choices, great prices, great taste, and friendly & knowledgeable staff. I got a coffee brown sugar oatmilk latte with boba and I love when I can really taste the coffee without it overpowering or being watered down. It was delicious! “Had a wonderful breakfast at Milton's. Our waitress forgot to put our order in to the kitchen, so we were delayed about 15 minutes. But the staff was very apologetic, and gave us a nice discount! Loved everything about Milton's, and highly recommend!“

“When I lived in Lawrence, I went to Java Break often. It was one of my favorite study spots and it has my favorite italian soda of all time. Ever since I moved out of the state, I think about their coffee and their cheesecake regularly. It is one of the places I go to every time I'm back in town. Great food and drink and even better staff.“

“Great coffee, affordable prices, and even better service! I absolutely love their matcha — pro tip: always add strawberry syrup to your green matcha; it’s a total game-changer. It’s the perfect spot to study or work, and they even have the cutest dog named Noodle. Honestly, I pretend I’m there for the coffee, but I’m really just there for Noodle… though I’m pretty sure he doesn’t like me back. It’s fine, I’m just crying inside. 🐶💚“
