“Last week I stopped into Deviant Kava in downtown Parkville and tried one of their specialty lattes — the Samoan Hotspot. It’s a mix of Ghirardelli chocolate with a little serrano pepper kick, which sounds unusual but was actually really good. The shop itself is inside one of Parkville’s historic houses at 405 Main St, which makes it a cozy place to sit by the window and enjoy a drink while walking through downtown. One of my favorite parts of working in real estate here is getting to explore local spots like this and share them with people who are discovering Parkville for the first time. If you’re in the area, it’s definitely worth stopping in.“

“This is one of those coffee shops you wish existed but didn’t know they did. You get your coffee and can wander through their plants or go sit in the middle of the greenhouse on a soft couch and talk with friends. 3 of us had infants and the atmosphere was so nice for the babies as well, quiet and easy to take care of them as we hung out. I definitely am coming back as soon as I have a chance! Their vanilla caramel latte was delicious and their cinnamon roll was a hit as well! If you’re in KC, you need to stop in here.“

“It is my favorite coffee place of all time. The bakery is so amazing! I could eat the egg salad beagles everyday they are that good. Staff is always amazing! If you want to try a new mix in your coffee as them they are more then happy to give recommendations. By youngest says they have the best blue raspberry lemonade ever! I sat down in the coffee shop area while i waited on my coffee order and to my surprise NO ONE took the time to come and say hello or try to get to know me like most people in some churches do. “7:30am I went to the Shawnee KS location. Vanilla latte, no vanilla. Caramel macchiato,no caramel. These drinks are not cheap. Please learn the recipes. Drive thru was very friendly and faster than normal.“

“This morning (10/10/21) around 8:45am there was a single employee working. She was taking all the orders and making them all herself. There was a line in the drive through in addition to the people inside. She was handling it like a champ and was still so friendly. We obviously gave her a tip because she deserved it, I just wish we could do more because she was an absolute legend. I hope management sees this and gives her the recognition she deserves. I just can't talk her up enough for handling what I would call an unbearably stressful situation.“

“This is a drive thru or walk up coffee place. The best in my option. Love Griffin and Demi. They are these best. There are 2 other female baristas that are awesome but I don't remember third names.

There is a few snack/breakfast items on the menu but it's mostly drinks. Coffee, energy, lemonade, shakes and smoothie type drinks.

“I live in Gladstone, Missouri but was shopping on Facebook marketplace and found several items that I wanted to buy from this couple who live in Olathe, Kansas. Quite a long drive for me from Gladstone, Missouri. Especially when there's hardly any way to go across town right now without having to be stuck in traffic because of road construction. What a relief to meet this nice lady with all these cool things for me to buy for gifts mostly and we so enjoyed talking a bit. I bought her an iced tea and she said it was very good. I hadn't eaten and so I got the little egg bite omelets or whatever they are and they were absolutely delicious. Or maybe I was just all that hungry and I also got some kind of a fruity smoothie drink.
I really enjoyed talking to the cashier who is getting ready to leave the store when she happened to mention to somebody that she was living in Lawrence and going to the University of Kansas where she's finishing up her freshman year majoring in journalism and political science at the William Allen White School of Journalism there. She was she's a a end of her freshman year Scooter's Coffeehouse way out off K-10 highway in Lenexa, KS.“

“I stopped by Kolache Factory through Too Good To Go, so my experience wasn’t really the traditional “walk in and order” kind of visit. They were getting close to closing, but the staff was kind, the shop was clean, and they were totally cool with letting me hang out and eat even though they were winding things down. That goes a long way with me.

I ended up with a little bit of everything: bacon, egg & cheese, Ranchero, pepperoni pizza, chicken Florentine, cream cheese, and a cinnamon roll.

The chicken Florentine was my favorite. It tasted like the best kind of spinach dip—the kind that shows up at a party and suddenly you’re hovering over the bowl with a piece of bread in your hand, quietly hoping nobody else notices how much you’ve eaten. Creamy, savory, cheesy, with that spinach flavor coming through. It’s the kind of thing I’d happily keep to myself.

The pepperoni was LOADED. Super greasy, cheesy, messy in exactly the right way. I loved it.

The Ranchero had a good amount of spice without taking over, and the bacon, egg & cheese was exactly what it should be: a classic, familiar breakfast combination that just works.

And the pastries were spot on. The cinnamon roll reminded me of Cinnabon, which I mean as a compliment. Soft, sweet, gooey, and completely capable of making me forget I was supposed to be eating breakfast.

The whole place actually gave me airport terminal vibes. You know when you get to the airport ridiculously early, find your gate, and immediately decide, “Yep, this is where I live for the next hour and a half”? That was me. I found a spot, sat down, and settled in.

There’s a pretty big selection, too, with coffee drinks like lattes, cappuccinos, iced coffee and cold brew available to go with everything.

That’s probably what I like most about Kolache Factory: there’s a little something for everyone. Sweet, savory, breakfast, coffee. You can walk in with a group of people who all want something completely different and everyone can find something.

When I have guests in town, this feels like an easy morning stop that can please the whole crowd without making breakfast complicated.“

“Tried Dutch Bros Coffee and was impressed with how many drink options they have. One thing I really liked was the protein hot drinks with 20 grams of protein, great if you want something filling while still getting your coffee fix. Service was super fast, and they had lots of staff working, so the line moved quickly. Friendly atmosphere and a great stop for a quick drink on the go.“

“I stopped at another Starbucks prior to this one and they made the drink wrong when I said something I got major attitude from the dude at the window. I gave him the drink back and asked for a refund, after that failed attempt i stopped at Target and decided to get Starbucks there. It was tasty and a nice encounter!“
