“I love coming to Anchor Island Coffee. The atmosphere is welcoming, inclusive, and queer owned. All the staff I have met are very friendly.They have the best iced carmel oatmilk latte in the area, and their buffalo chicken quesadilla is delicious.The downstairs area is quite small but there is plenty of seating upstairs. There are often pop ups of local vendors in the downstairs area as well. I have seen a variety of items from art, jewelry, soaps, and candles.There is lots of free/non-metered street parking, but how full it is can depend on the time/day and other events happening nearby. Usually I have no problem parking very close on a Saturday afternoon but on occasion I have had to circle the block.Parking: Street parking all around the shop and nearby blocks. Can be difficult depending on the time of day, day of the week, and any other events that may be happening nearby. There is a lot behind the building but I am unsure if it is public or for employees only.Wheelchair accessibility: Very tight space downstairs, but could be workable. The upstairs would be completely inaccessible.“

I tried something new and it was delicious, I went to reorder it today and I accidentally ordered a tea instead of a latte. I did not like the tea and they made me a new drink even though it was my fault. I love this little shop! The Brown Sugar Boba Latte is my favorite. It is a small shop in downtown, so there arent a lot of places to park, which is to be expected. Good thing I walk everywhere. :)“

This is the first place I have found in a long time that will use a straight razor to sharpen edges and leave you with a smooth neckline. I tend to ignore scones because I feel like they are a bit dry. This was still warm so it was moist in the center with a nice crunch on the edges. The blueberry and lemon flavors are equal and compliment each other perfect!Pour over Mexico Cerro Azul. This one was recommended as being a bit funky. It's awesome. I feel like there is flavors of cherry and bourbon. It is smooth and lightly roasted. I highly recommend!Decaf- this is what I drink daily and it was only available as an Americano. This is a light roast coffee with smooth flavor and great taste.The staff is friendly and spent time talking with a local person who seemed to be down on their luck. “We love Maps Coffee. We visit 4 to 5 times per week. It’s a great locally owned artisan shop and they roast their coffee in-house. I wasn’t a coffee drinker at all until Maps got me hooked. They also make their own chocolate and you can really taste the difference in quality from big-batch commercial chocolate. The staff is friendly and welcoming and within a few short visits they will call you by name and know your order. We always have great conversations with Vince and his team. I highly recommend you give them a try.“
“This was my first visit here and it was fantastic!! Ordering was super easy with the interactive wall mounted menu, and when we had questions the staff was friendly and helpful. One of our group wasn’t sure what she wanted, and was able to order at the counter after asking questions about the menu. With five people we were all able to find something to our taste, and every one of the drinks were delicious. Our order was prepared quickly and accurately as well.Parking: At no fault of the owners of this business, the businesses on either side of this one have greedily claimed all of the parking right in front of the storefront with their own signage. However, there is general parking in the same vicinity very close by. It’s not difficult to find close parking at all.Kid-friendliness: There are so many kid-friendly flavors available that even my pickiest kiddo found something to enjoy! They also have board games available for use in the seating area.Wheelchair accessibility: There are handicap parking spaces available almost right outside the door, along with a sidewalk ramp leading to the business. Inside has wide walkways and tables well-suited to wheelchair access. The wall mounted interactive menu is probably just slightly too high to order from a wheelchair, but the ordering counter is low enough that placing an order there would be very reasonable.“

“Take Care is a new coffee shop located in the Crossroads. We went on a Sunday morning to grab coffee and work on some wedding stuff. It was nice that it wasn't took busy and we sat at the bar. I love the no tipping culture not because I am against tipping but because it means they are paying their employees responsibly. The staff is so nice and we ended up talking to them for awhile while we sat at the bar. They didn't offer any GF pastries when we were there but their biscuits were amazing! They also had a scone that looked delicious but I decided I had to try the biscuit after hearing about it. There are several butter and jam options. We both enjoyed our coffee and got a lot of work done during our time there. I will 100% be back.“

“So many babies!! This cat cafe is perfect. The cats have plenty of room to roam around and can get some private time if they need it. This is the most chill I’ve seen cats in this environment. There are plenty of seating areas and even with a few different groups of people you can spread out and not feel like the area is crowded. The coffee was also very tasty and they have lots of merch you can buy. I would highly recommend visiting if you need some cats in your life.“
