“They were only taking orders through the drive though or you could go in and order through the kiosk. The didn't bring the food out, you had to wait for it up in the front, which was fine. I'm sure they were short staffed. The food was prepared and we had no complaints. You were able to get your own drinks. The inside of the store was pretty clean. The Christmas Tree was awesome with boxes put on it from McDonalds.“
“If you've ever thought to yourself "I could go for something sweet" TWO SUGARS is a must. First thing I noticed walking in was good music. Paired with Great coffee, and what may be the best cinnamon roll I've ever had. It was worth the visit.“
“Best coffee shop in town. Nowhere else will you be able to taste flavorful dishes made with LOVE. I am currently sick right now, and what I needed was my mom’s homemade caldos, and the Tortilla Chicken Soup was the perfect fix to comfort me. The Horchata latte is my favorite in town, it’s the perfect subtle sweetness. Also…my family is from Latin origin and they typically don’t like eating out because they can’t find a suitable taste that feels like “home”, and let me tell you their taste buds were satisfied. They are willing to travel a little farther than usual to experience savory Latin inspired food. For my family, food is a love language, we make food for all guests even if unexpected or unfamiliar ones. Siempre un cafecito se ofrece! Thanks Anchor Island for your welcoming environment and staff.“
“This establishment is a delightful haven from start to finish. Offering an array of scrumptious craft coffee beverages, delectable homemade ice cream, and mouthwatering pastries, it's a paradise for the taste buds. What truly sets The Golden Scoop apart is its noble mission: as a non-profit ice cream shop, it aims to empower individuals with developmental disabilities by providing them with transformative employment opportunities. Their dedicated team, affectionately takes pride in serving up artisanal ice cream and bespoke coffee creations, always accompanied by a generous scoop of joy. This place is a true gem.“
“I come here frequently after getting groceries, one lady remembers me now and knows exactly what I order. I tried something new and it was delicious, I went to reorder it today and I accidentally ordered a tea instead of a latte. I did not like the tea and they made me a new drink even though it was my fault. I love this little shop! The Brown Sugar Boba Latte is my favorite. It is a small shop in downtown, so there arent a lot of places to park, which is to be expected. Good thing I walk everywhere. :)“
“This is a classic donut shop that sells the best donuts in the city. Not only are the donuts delicious but they also sell Messenger Coffee too! I highly recommend giving Mr. D's a chance as your preferred donut shop because you will not regret it.“
“I have attended a variety of poetic/open mic events here and the atmosphere is top tier. I love how this space is welcoming and it's always set up a different way each time.A perfect spot to meet some awesome people. Nestled in the heart of the city.Menu is light yet fulfilling and delicious decafe options are always available.3 words one awesome feeling:Honey Lavender LatteBlissCheck them out!! :)“
“By far, the Best Cigar stock in Kansas City - great variety with an exceptional preservation of each cigars humidity content. If your a connoisseur and trying to get a true taste for a certain brand, I'd highly recommend. Whether it be for us early risers, or weekend date night.“
“I have been wanting to stop here to check out the place. It was a nice afternoon and I finally did. Nice seating area inside. Quiet enough to hang out with a friend and chat. While there I ordered a cup of coffee and Kolaches and empanadas to go. A nice lady waited on me. Service was great.“
“I just had the most amazing experience at seven brew in Overland Park. Andrew took my order and was so wonderful, I don’t think I’ve ever laughed so much in a coffee drive-through scenario. It honestly is like the friendliness of Chick fil a, but without the feeling obligated to make awkward, small talk. It was genuinely Great and the few minutes that I got to chat with him, absolutely will make a point to come back to this location“
“"I recently enjoyed a delightful breakfast at Sunrise on 39th! The service was impeccable, and the food was absolutely delicious. From the warm hospitality to the mouthwatering dishes, it was a truly memorable experience. Can't wait to visit again!"“
“My first time in, and I found it to be charming. A bright and tidy place in a more historic part of town. The baristas were sweet and fun. If you get a drip coffee and choose to enjoy on premises, you pick out your own mug and get a free refill. It was a perfect Sunday morning stop.“
“I've often wanted to check out Messenger Coffee in the Crossroads, but was concerned about parking and it being on Grand - Busy street. I was having a, "Let's Seize the Day", moment and decided to give it a shot. Parking was as taxing as I guessed, but I only had to walk half a block to get inside. The first floor is austere and clean, but not very welcoming in my opinion. I'm much more of a soft fabric with muted lighting kind of girl. Still, it has an old charm that I can see a lot of people appreciating. I grabbed a treat and tea then headed upstairs to find seating. The stairs are daunting, but they have an elevator to make things easier. The second floor was packed, but the rooftop with its view of the city and firepit was empty - Score! There was a bit of wind, but nothing that the huge firepit couldn't handle. I happily spent my Seize the Day morning sipping hot tea, eating a tasty treat, and enjoying the view on the Messenger Coffee on Grand's rooftop.“
“First time visiting - love the forest-themed vibes. Pros: - house made syrups - oat milk isn't an up charge! - some gluten friendly pastry selections available - friendly service - Affordable latte prices - only $5 for a 12 oz oatmilk latte with housemade syrup - Siracha available for breakfast burritos! Cons: - only 2 couch/comfy seating areas, rest of seating is metal chairs & mostly high top tables that aren't the most comfortable - pastries are a little pricy Suggestion to add huckleberry syrup to the menu! They sell huckeberry roaster coffee - it would be awesome to have the forest/NW berry flavor here in Kansas!“
“I came here for the first time today with a couple of friends of mine and we all agree that the vibes of this shop was so fitting with what we needed. Chill and vibrant at the same time. Great drinks. My partner got the coffee flight and I got the Horchata latte. Incredible drinks to say the least. We’ll be back for sure.“
“Newer to the KCK coffee and lunch scene, Connect Cafe is a gem and one of my favorite local spots in KCK. It's run by Foster, Adopt, Connect building, a local non-profit, and former foster youth are intentionally employed as staff. Their staff is kind, thorough, and a joy to interact with! Equally important- their food will blow you way! The soups, salads, and sandwiches are made with quality ingredients and there is no skimping on flavor. My personal favorite is the BLT on wheat-- we're talking 8-9 pieces of bacon and it might just be my favorite BLT in the city. Pair the cute side salad, any soup of the day, or a homemade cookie and you're guaranteed to have a great day. I've taken several friends and the takeaway has been that everyone has loved the meal they picked. They offer several bread choices and a few non-meat options. It's perfect spot to meet with a small group of colleagues or friends- there are several small tables, high tops, and a couch area to accommodate groups of 2-6. Everything comes out of their kitchen very quickly, so it's a great add to your work week lunch rotation! Only con is that they are closed weekends, but you won't regret finding the time to fit it into your work week!“
“Nice look coffee shop. Great atmosphere to chill and relax. When the weather warms up they offer outside seating too adjacent to a park. Menu selection is varied- wraps, sandwiches, assorted pastries, chips, and so are the drinks. I had a grilled peanut butter and jelly sandwich... delicious. And took it down with a sweet potato mix drink-- it was great too.A winner. Thank you.“
“I visited a roasterie coffee company in Kansas City, Missouri, for a tour.I made a reservation in advance, and the tour cost $5 per person.I could see that the small plane at outside, which seems like the company logo and symbol, arousing curiosity.I learned that many customers from around and about visited for the tour. The interior of the factory was spacious, with not many people working due to mechanization. Our tour guide, Mr Eric, was so enthusiastic and loud in her explanations that it was very thankfulThe various coffee aromas tasted on-site were very pleasant. The products produced seem to be popular and likely to be consumed a lot.Visiting the coffee factory for the first time will be a memorable experience.“
“The Java garage has plenty of space to spread out and really focus on your work. Multiple different seating options from bar stools, couches, swinging benches, and dining tables. Sometimes I like a more cozy work environment so this might not be my go-to all the time, but it was a nice change of pace.I got the Open Road latte with oat milk and it tastes like a butterscotch candy. Very good. There is also a very friendly and adorable coffee shop dog named Scout!Dietary restrictions: Oat milk available as well as soy and almond!“
“It is an amazing place, to enjoy a good meal, the atmosphere is so warm and welcoming to your Spirit!!! Everything there is so good!!! The service is given with great Integrity and Humility for every person served. It's a Home away from Home!!!!! You are able to relax and read a good book or magazine. Thank you!!!! REVOCUP!!!! FOR ALL YOU DO!!!! I ❤️ LOVE IT!!!!!!!!!????Vegetarian options: Some vegetarian items availableDietary restrictions: Dietary restrictions are individually basedParking: Easy and accessible!!!!Kid-friendliness: Kids are always welcome!!!!Wheelchair accessibility: Wheelchair accessibility is available!!!!“
“Unique storefront with an intimate, local vibe and a cup of something different. My Cafe' de Olla - coffee slowly brewed with canela (cinnamon), piloncillo (unrefined whole cane sugar) and spices, topped with salted sweet foam and a little cookie was tasty and unexpected. You order at an interior window counter where, years ago, you could purchase tickets for the El Canejo bus line. Service was personal and friendly. Feels comfortable when you walk in the door, like you belong.“
“My wife and I came here for ideas for our garden and I was blown away! So many beautiful plants, items to shop for inside, a lovely cafe, and outdoor seating among some of the plants. It’s a great feeling and a very enjoyable place to be. The staff was extremely helpful in providing us with information on different plants. I got a coffee to go from the cafe and it was the best lavender latte I’ve ever had. Can’t wait to return here.“
“Sway Coffee Roasters Was So Perfect! I Know Them From McLain's Which Is My Favorite Place In The Whole Wide World So I Knew I Was In For A Treat. The Vibe Was So Lowkey And Quaint And I LOVE that! The Service Was Fast And The Baristas Were Kind. Coffee Is My Absolute Favorite Thing And The Whole Wide World And Sway Did Not Disappoint. I Truly Enjoyed My Bourbon Caramel Latte And Will Be Back To Enjoy The Atmosphere! Thank You Sway!“
“Exactly what I was looking for in a full service barbershop. Excellent haircut, beard sculpt, and trim. This is the first place I have found in a long time that will use a straight razor to sharpen edges and leave you with a smooth neckline. The staff is topnotch, the barbers are artists, and the service is terrific. And, as an added bonus, the bartenders are awesome! I had a whiskey sour, made with fresh squeezed citrus, that was nothing short of excellent. I can also recommend their smoked old fashioned, excellent!Services: Shampoo & conditioning“
“Love this place, I stop in every time I have a Dr appointment at St Luke’s plaza. I have great friendly conversation with the staff every time I come in. My only complaint is I’m a bigger guy and the inside is so tiny sometimes it’s awkward navigating around people as they come and go. I tried the strawberry muffin last time I was in and it was phenomenal!“
“On a recent visit to KC, the wife and I were pleasantly surprised to see a coffee shop/record shop in walking distance to our Airbnb. When we arrived I was shocked to find a SOLID variety of vinyl, and had an amazing late.Great store and experience!!!“
“Cinnamon buns, guacamole toast, biscuits and gravy, breakfast burrito were all excellent. Their iced house coffee is good as well. Knocked off a star due to limited seating and when we ordered our coffee no one told us to wait at a counter (they deliver the rest of your food), so we ended up not getting that until we finally asked. When we did ask the server she just said oh they call your name (music plays loudly inside so no way you can hear unless you're right there) and leave it at the bar for you, and then she walked off.“
“Went searching for a Cubiano, and some Empanadas ended up in this great little spot.Met the owner and found out they started out in a truck now. They have two, and this location.Definitely will be back!Parking: More parking on the east (right) side of the building...“
“We love Maps Coffee. We visit 4 to 5 times per week. It’s a great locally owned artisan shop and they roast their coffee in-house. I wasn’t a coffee drinker at all until Maps got me hooked. They also make their own chocolate and you can really taste the difference in quality from big-batch commercial chocolate. The staff is friendly and welcoming and within a few short visits they will call you by name and know your order. We always have great conversations with Vince and his team. I highly recommend you give them a try.“
“I had been wanting to try this place when I seen it in my news feed. Today, my niece and I walked up there (I use a cane for mobility) and I'm soooooo happy we did! The service food and atmosphere was A1! PLEASE go check them out!! And the prices are very reasonable!“
“Incredible coffee and great people! Came from out of state for a few days and tried this place out a few times. I’m sad to leave such amazing coffee behind. I found something called the Ethiopian Macchiato and it was perfection. Super chill atmosphere and amazing people.“
“This is an excellent and unique cafe serving interesting and delicious food and drinks. I tried the Spicey Mayan Mocha and it was fantastic. The combination of chili, cocoa and coffee was a new experience that elevates the classic Mocha. I also tried the Jalapeno and Cheese Tamale which was absolutely killer! Service was great and the interior was clean and welcoming.I will definitely make a return trip next time I'm in KCMO.Highly recommended!“
“Got The Standard breakfast sandwich & the Sausage & egg sandwich for breakfast, took a chipotle turkey wrap to go for lunch. ABSOLUTELY delicious. all of it. 10/10 would recommend and will go out of my way to eat here again. 100% worth the money.“
“Met a potential customer here and it was a great place to post up. The line went quick when ordering and there was plenty of seating throughout. I ordered a chai tea latte and the flavor was great - it was the tasty powder kind and not the liquid pump.“
“Take Care is a new coffee shop located in the Crossroads. We went on a Sunday morning to grab coffee and work on some wedding stuff. It was nice that it wasn't took busy and we sat at the bar. I love the no tipping culture not because I am against tipping but because it means they are paying their employees responsibly. The staff is so nice and we ended up talking to them for awhile while we sat at the bar. They didn't offer any GF pastries when we were there but their biscuits were amazing! They also had a scone that looked delicious but I decided I had to try the biscuit after hearing about it. There are several butter and jam options. We both enjoyed our coffee and got a lot of work done during our time there. I will 100% be back.“
“So many babies!! This cat cafe is perfect. The cats have plenty of room to roam around and can get some private time if they need it. This is the most chill I’ve seen cats in this environment. There are plenty of seating areas and even with a few different groups of people you can spread out and not feel like the area is crowded. The coffee was also very tasty and they have lots of merch you can buy. I would highly recommend visiting if you need some cats in your life.“
“Little hole in the wall that I pass almost every day but never stop. Today I stopped and I'm so happy I did!!!! The service was so amazing that alone is 100+. I had an atole with an expresso shot ? ? this was good. The beef tamale was different but I'm opened minded and even though it didn't blow my mind I must confess there was good flavor and this makes me beyond excited to try the others . I wish they had some old school pottery the simple and plain . All in all I loved this place and can't wait to be back. The young lady that helped me thank you , you alone made this place an amazing experience ❤️“
“This was my first visit here and it was fantastic!! Ordering was super easy with the interactive wall mounted menu, and when we had questions the staff was friendly and helpful. One of our group wasn’t sure what she wanted, and was able to order at the counter after asking questions about the menu. With five people we were all able to find something to our taste, and every one of the drinks were delicious. Our order was prepared quickly and accurately as well.Parking: At no fault of the owners of this business, the businesses on either side of this one have greedily claimed all of the parking right in front of the storefront with their own signage. However, there is general parking in the same vicinity very close by. It’s not difficult to find close parking at all.Kid-friendliness: There are so many kid-friendly flavors available that even my pickiest kiddo found something to enjoy! They also have board games available for use in the seating area.Wheelchair accessibility: There are handicap parking spaces available almost right outside the door, along with a sidewalk ramp leading to the business. Inside has wide walkways and tables well-suited to wheelchair access. The wall mounted interactive menu is probably just slightly too high to order from a wheelchair, but the ordering counter is low enough that placing an order there would be very reasonable.“
“My mom grew up in the Waldo neighborhood and went to this location as a child. I was so excited to be able to preorder a cake online at the last minute for her birthday. I arrived in town, swung by McLain’s, the cake was ready and perfect, and I was off to her last minute, surprise lunch! The cake tasted amazing, was super moist, and was really pretty. I ordered the modern classic style of cake, with red velvet cake, and cream cheese filling. Thanks for helping to make her 76th birthday a great one!“
“Visited this place while on vacation, and I'm so glad we went!! Staff was very friendly and knowledgeable about the specials. Drinks were served in nice sized mugs. The drinks were very tasty. Ambiance was relaxed and there was plenty of seating. I would recommend!!“
“Love love love this place I lived in the northeast area my whole life and always drove past this coffee shop recently started trying different places and this morning I walked in hoping to find a hidden gem such a vibe great delicious coffee great costumer service beautiful cute cozy sitting will go again especially knowing that it’s right down the street from my house“
“Great spot for coffee and beer! They always have a solid selection of craft lattes, teas, and seasonal drinks as well as an outstanding tap list for beer! Lots of space for groups or a great spot for studying. Highly recommended for all times of the day“
“We have wanted to try Ibis Bakery for some time. Once I found out that Black Dog was connected, we went! The coffee was great. I had a honey and lavender latte. We also had an almond Croissant and a Pan au chocolate Croissant. The almond Croissant was the best one I've ever had! We also grabbed a Cheese Slipper loaf for later.“
“Very cute and cozy coffee shop! Gives off Colorado cabin vibes. Plenty of seating available however they can get pretty busy-so don’t be surprised if you don’t end up finding a seat. Free WiFi and street parking available. Staff isn’t the friendliest. Prices are on the higher end. I paid $7 for a regular vanilla latte and that’s with no substitutes like almond milk, oat milk etc etc. I would recommend just be aware that you might be paying a little extra for coffee versus other locations.“
“You Say Tomato has some fire breakfast casserole let me just say that... Get it with the mushroom and sausage gravy and you won't be disappointed. I need to go back and get their gazpacho. Its a cold tomato soup with veggies in it... its one of my favorites. Its a unique place to go have breakfast or lunch at and the menu is unique just like the place. I'll be back to grab some Gazpacho...“
“AmazingI really enjoyed the mochi doughnuts and the floral mango tea.I also was able to grab a sandwich from a pop-up event made by Chef Hera ( The homemade focaccia bread was to die for )Definitely will be back to try their goodies and to check out some of the local art they have displayed.“
“THE SUPERIOR BOBA SHOP IN THE KC METRO AREA. If I can, I will always choose to buy my boba here. No other place has them beat on quality, taste & price. I would rather support a small business than any other chain in the area that is overpriced for what it’s worth. Every drink of theirs hits the spot and the customization lets you cater to your own tastes. Please tip well when you can, the owners & employees are so kind and there’s a very small turnover in employees so you will often see the same faces. Ari Delights I love you forever.“
“Love the addition of Rebel Coffee to the neighborhood! The staff is wonderful (Shout out to Hannah!), the bagel sandwhiches are my new favorite breakfast, and the cold brew is most excellent. As a former barista, i highly recommend stopping by the staff is knowledgeable and great with recommendations! Support local business!“
“This was our first time visiting and we really enjoyed the experience. The coffee was good and the atmosphere was chill. Easy place to grab a table and have a chat. We got an iced brown sugar latte and iced chai latte with oat milk. The 20 oz size is as small as I’d go. We also tried a yogurt parfait and Quarantine cookie (Guinness Stout Chocolate). The cookie was delicious! They also had a great rooftop seating area, although we didn’t get a chance to head up there. Only complaint is that the kitchen was closed, although that could have been a schedule thing that I didn’t check.“
“I really like the baristas here. They're very friendly and always make consistently great coffee. This Starbucks doesn't have all the features of the stand alone stores, but it's worth it to be able to get coffee while I grocery shop.“
