“I've become addicted to their waffle sandwich, BUT DON'T GET ME WRONG, their coffee and smoothies are wonderful too. I've loved them for years, it's just been recently that I love the sandwiches. So I've been going often. Of course the quality of the food/drinks is top notch for fast food (they don't make it 'til you order) and they must pay their workers a decent wage, because at EVERY location (several in Lawrence, a few in KC) the workers are ALWAYS bright, cheerful and make me feel welcome to have stopped through the drive through!“

“I visited the Nostalgia Room for the first time on Mother's Day. I loved the relaxing vibe, the fun and funky decor. Everyone working there was so nice and the Mother's Day menu was delicious (we tried several things), as was my Chai Latte. It's one of those places you hope is very popular so it's around a long time, but not too busy when you go that you can't find a spot.“

“This has quickly become my favorite study spot. It's got great ambiance, awesome staff, excellent drinks, and enough seating. I've never seen it so busy that there's a line, and I've never had to wait to be served. It can feel a little cramped with more than 3 groups in at a time, but there's more seating in a back room that helps with that (though I don't think I've seen outlets in the back room).“

“I was so happy to find La Prima Tazza in the downtown area of Lawrence, Kansas! I needed a good cup of coffee and a little internet one morning while visiting my sophomore at KU, and this classic coffee shop was just the ticket! They happily filled up my travel mug after the barista helped me select one of their delicious coffees AND I got the 'bring your own mug' discount! I am not truly a coffee connoisseur, but I can appreciate the care that goes into a good cup of coffee and my selection was aromatic and slightly floral, yet strong. The vibe was definitely chill and there were certainly regulars who make La Prima Tazza a part of their routines. With plenty of cafe tables, a single sipper doesn't have to worry too much about staying too long ( although I know that all day campers are not the fave of these long-standing coffee shops!)

While I sipped my delicious coffee I really enjoyed looking around at their custom ceramic offerings and hand-scribed chalkboard menus (and maybe learning a little more about coffee), as well as examining the art displayed. Art in coffee shops can be hit-or-miss, but the selections at my visit in April were intricate, intriguing assemblages and I wish I had gotten the artist info - the works added to the warm and woody ambiance of the cafe. “The people that work there are well-mannered. They don't accept tips sometimes (Oct 5,2022), the staff will be gone from the stand and no sign will be at the register. High-calorie treats. I usually go to an independent coffee place on the Mass and 7th, which I like better. Still addicting sweet good coffee, which I have only had two times this Fall as a treat for doing lawn work.“

Good donuts and the best coffee is a given already... what matters most is the friendship we have built thru the year with them, we also serve their donuts to our students at the Midwest Driving School and the students love it!!!! “Genuinely, the best crew nicest people ever. Whenever they don’t have anything or take too long they always give you something to compensate for it, which is really nice. They didn’t have a water bottle so she gave us three cookies that was really sweet. They’re always really fast and they talk to you at the window and make you feel welcome. Genuinely the best McDonald’s crew in Lawrence. Especially the night shift they are so nice! One time they took a little longer so she gave us big coffees! The night crew here are some of my favorite people!!“
