The food is authentically Italian and absolutely delicious, all at a great price point. The pizza leans New York–style, available by the slice or the whole pie.

They don’t serve wine and have just a few beer options, but that’s easy to overlook given the quality of the food. The atmosphere is simple and unpretentious, fitting for a counter-service restaurant where you order at the front and they bring your meal to the table.

“Friends took me out for my 91st birthday and I requested Paulo's. Been there many times for 45 years. Always order chicken Piccata. Had garlic bread which was excellent. My order came and There was about a full cup of mashed potatoes with a small chicken breast on it. About 2". Chicken was not very tender and I ate the lunch in about 5 bites. Cost $16. no veggies or salad. Gentleman came over and asked how everything was and I told him . Portion was so small. He was very nice and took my lunch price off the bill. I will be back one more time because I really always liked it there. Also had lunch at 2:30 and no one else there but 3 people at the bar. I hope there is some improvement in the portions of some memu items in the future.“

“Found Avenues through a Groupon. We bought the Shrimp Boil, Filet and Shrimp Scampi, Antipasto platter, and two cannolis. The meal portions were huge, our order could have easily fed 4 people. The shrimp boil was spicy, with a lot of shrimp, potatoes, sausage, and a whole ear of corn. The filet was flavorful, and the shrimp scampi was served similar to Alfredo, it tasted so good! The antipasto platter has lots of yummy bites, I really enjoyed the salami and artichoke hearts. The cannolis were great too! They also included a little bag of decorated mini cookies, with a ribbon and Go Royals! tag. I'm sure it was part of one of the entrees we ordered, but an unexpected but delightful little bread pudding was in our ca bag as well. Food was great, portions were large, and the staff at curbside was very nice. I do wish GPS hadn't left us about halfa block away though.“

“I went to throw something into the trash/ash can outside the front door. There were broken beer bottles in there sticking up that I didn't see. I got a small cut on my finger. Asked for a band aid and antiseptic. No one was very interested. I did get a band aid. Food was good. Service fine. I wanted desert, but it didn't come up before the end of service. I moved on.“
