“Beyond impressed! My boyfriend's favorite dessert is a key lime pie. He has a son that has a gluten and dairy allergy and his one request for his birthday this year was a key lime pie that he could share with his son. That was not an easy task to locate. Even though it is not something they offer on their menu, Mud Pie Bakery was willing to do a special order for a gluten free, dairy free key lime pie and I must say, we were blown away! It was delicious! The crust was delicious, the filling was tangy, and the whipped topping was sweet and balanced everything else out! Not only that, but it looked beautiful! The best part is that my boyfriend's son got to enjoy a sweet treat that the rest of the family was having and that is something that rarely happens, due to his dietary restrictions! Thank you, Mud Pie, for doing this for us and for being so kind and accommodating!“

The almond bear claw was an absolute delight, and the greatest challenge was eating it slowly and savoring it instead of inhaling it in one bite. And the chocolate chip croissant is so light and buttery and flaky, it might have been made by an actual angel. I seriously cannot recommend Fox and Bull enough.“

“This is one of the best spots in KC for pastries, breakfast and brunch foods. The staff are friendly, the service is excellent and the menu is full of can't miss items.

“Two years ago in October, my daughter had to go to a company in Overland Park for a course. We are from the Netherlands and have eaten a pie at the Upper Crust several times. Our favorite was the caramelized pecan apple pie. I still tell everyone who will listen about it. I would really love to have the recipe. Since our wedding, we’ve had multiple family members and friends reach out to express how much they loved our wedding cake. The cake was incredibly moist, perfectly sweet, and had the most delightful surprise—chocolate chips baked into the batter. Every bite was rich, velvety, and packed with flavor. Our entire office was blown away! If you haven’t tried their cakes yet, you are seriously missing out. Highly recommend!“

MeMa's Bakery is an absolute treasure! The biscuits and gravy are so good I ate them before I even made it out of the parking lot – that says it all! The pecan rolls are incredible too. Everything here is genuinely homemade and you can taste the love in every single bite. The staff are warm and friendly, and the whole place has that wonderful old-fashioned ma-and-pa bakery feel that's so hard to find these days. A new favorite spot in Kansas City!“

My favorite is the Special with extra pickled veg. Also anything with the Pate’. Steamed Pork Bun! The staff is so friendly and attentive! They also have coffee and pastries!“
