The hushpuppies were great! I ordered 3 family sizes for a work event. But I showed up at 11:05 am and everything was dark and doors were locked, even though the doors said they open at 10:30 am. So I called and the guy said oh yeah we are getting ready to open, we are waiting on the fryers to warm up. Okay, great. So I get out in the pouring rain after they turn on the lights. Workers were kind and hard working. The two people on Thursday 23 2026 were great loved them
This place used to be a filthy dump with employees who were more interested in standing out back in their dirty uniforms smoking than waiting on customers or cleaning tables. It was a mess and I hadn't been back for years because of that.
I stopped in today for lunch and was pleasantly surprised by the cleanliness of the restaurant, the cleanliness and polite young lady working there and the LJS food I'd been missing.
I'm so glad it's enjoyable again!
