“A great trip with our party of six. Don't hesitate to enjoy the great service, food and atmosphere this organization gives you. Our server Cami was professional, attending and pleasant in her handling of our meal service. Accolades to the entire staff for this train ride.“
“We had an amazing time doing a tasting!! Nikki was so friendly!! She made it a great experience for us!!“
“Cool tour, staff were very knowledgeable. Everyone was very friendly. Gift store is small but had some good selections from Bourbon to accessories. Prices are high but I love their logo and their bourbon is also delicious. I use it for my cocktails. We ate at their restaurant. Not sure if you need reservations but we made it anyway. Menu had a good selection but not enough for the finicky. The prices are good. Our server was excellent. The service was a slow. The food was good. Restroom is very clean. Overall it was a good experience.“

“Love the employees and managers! Great laughs with them. Feel like family!“
“Took the bourbon tour; MUCH different than some of the other places. This is a marvel of automation; new, huge and sterile, right now. (They will be adding additional improvements) Sebastian was great, knew his stuff and was proud of the company. They distill a lot of bourbon, many I have never heard of, some good sampling involved-started with a delicious old fashioned. Overall, an interesting visit compared to the other smaller places we toured.“

“5-Star Review: A True Hidden Gem in Bardstown! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Pat’s Place is an absolute delight and hands-down one of the best breakfast and lunch spots I’ve ever visited! From the moment you walk through the door, you’re greeted with the warmest smiles and that cozy, hometown feel that makes you want to stay all day. It’s like stepping into your grandma’s kitchen—comforting, inviting, and filled with the delicious aroma of home-cooked goodness.
The food here is outstanding! Every bite bursts with flavor. The breakfast menu is a dream—fluffy pancakes, perfectly cooked eggs, crispy bacon, and those incredible homemade biscuits and gravy that are worth the trip alone. Their lunch specials, burgers, sandwiches, and fresh salads are equally fantastic, with generous portions that leave you satisfied but never overstuffed. And don’t even get me started on the homemade pies and cakes… pure perfection! Everything tastes fresh, made with love, and at prices that make you feel like you’ve discovered the best deal in town.
The staff is incredibly friendly, attentive, and efficient—they treat you like family from the first “hello.” Whether you’re a local or just passing through Bardstown, they make you feel right at home. The charming downtown location adds to the experience, with a welcoming interior that’s perfect for a relaxed meal with friends or family.
I’ve already been back multiple times and will keep returning every chance I get. Pat’s Place isn’t just a restaurant—it’s a Bardstown treasure! If you’re in the area, do yourself a huge favor and stop in. You’ll leave with a full belly, a happy heart, and plans to come back soon. Thank you, Pat’s Place, for delivering such joy with every visit! 🙌🍳🥧
Highly, highly recommend—10/10, easily one of my all-time favorites!“

“I tried this place before but my first time at this particular location. I did not like this place the last time I tried it which had been a couple of years ago. I thought i would give it a second chance . Glad I did the wings was great had the atomic with ghost pepper ranch. It was absolutely awesome. Had the sampler for app the onion rings was good pickles was ok and the mozzarella sticks was ok. The girl that served us was not the best In The world. She was friendly. But a little slow on the drinks and was kinda short on A couple of questions we asked. But she was very nice. The visit was good. I would definitely go back.“

“Stopped in the other day before a tour at HH. Might have been the best breakfast I ever had. Chicken fried steak was incredible….and those biscuits were fresh and fluffy. If I lived close I might eat there every day. Very friendly and welcoming staff, great atmosphere and decor. I would say its a “must-stop” for anyone visiting the area!“

“A hidden treasure in Bardstown! Amazing dining experience. Our waiter Jeremiah delivered a superb dining experience. Everything was delicious, from the salad to side dishes, steak you can cut with a butter knife! A must to eat at when in the area. All staff is very friendly and attentive!“
“For my birthday dinner this year, we finally visited the Talbott Tavern in Bardstown—and I left wondering why I had waited so long.
Few restaurants in Kentucky can match the history packed into this building. Over the years, famous visitors have included Abraham Lincoln and Jesse James, and after dinner we took time to explore the tavern and soak in that history. My favorite stop was the Jesse James Room, where you can still see bullet holes in the wall reportedly left behind by the infamous outlaw.
But history alone doesn't make a great restaurant. Fortunately, the food more than holds its own.
We started with the house-made cornbread muffins served warm with bourbon butter. The muffins were sweet and comforting, while the bourbon butter added a unique Kentucky twist that immediately set the tone for the meal.
For my entrée, I ordered the Bourbon Mango Pork Chop with mashed potatoes, white gravy, and seasonal vegetables. This was one of the best pork chops I've had anywhere in Kentucky. I'd put it in the same conversation as the famous pork chop at Patti's 1880's Settlement Restaurant—not as thick, but every bit as memorable. The bourbon mango sauce was unlike anything I've had before and paired perfectly with the pork.
My wife chose the Bourbon Walnut Chicken, which was equally impressive. Once again, the bourbon-infused sauce was the star of the dish, adding a rich flavor that made it stand out from a typical chicken dinner.
Since it was my birthday, dessert was mandatory. We finished with the Talbott Tavern Pie, a chocolate and walnut pie with a pastry crust. It was rich, delicious, and the perfect ending to an outstanding meal.
Between the incredible food, the unique bourbon-inspired flavors, and the chance to walk through a piece of Kentucky history, Talbott Tavern delivered an experience that felt special from start to finish.
I'll definitely be back—and next time, it won't take me this many years to return.“

“What a beautiful property, and it's great to see the heritage of how things used to be done! Caleb was a great tour guide, and kept the tour interesting. I liked having the pours throughout the tour, too. Having been on a tour at a large maker, it's great to experience how a smaller, more traditional distillery operates. Highly recommend!“
