“The food was so freaking good! The agua de horchata was amazing, you could tell it was homemade because it had the rice and cinnamon at the bottom of the cup. I got the shrimp and octopus cocktail and it tasted beautifully. I also got the tamal de rajas and it was pretty good. I cannot say enough good things about this place, I really recommend it! The service was fast and friendly, it wasn't busy/packed on a Friday evening.“

“My friend’s favorite Mexican place is Pina Fiesta. I’ve never been there because it’s off Dixie Highway and it’s far from where I live. However I really wanted to spend time with a friend and be in a low-key atmosphere. So I made the trek, I drove out to Dixie Highway. Now the sign is a bit washed out so you may pass by the restaurant on your way there. The building is light blue and there is a food truck outside selling Cuban pizzas. We were quickly seated when we arrived. We chose to sit outside. The location was comfortable and there was some covering so that way the sun would not make it too hot inside the seating area. We were quickly brought chips and salsa always a good sign when you’re at a Mexican restaurant. We also got some queso. It was very good. It was the perfect compliment to the chips. The vegetarian menu was on the very back of the menu and they had a great combination of options. There were things that I have seen at other places, but there were things that were completely new to me. I ended up getting the vegetarian quesadilla, which contained a great number of veggies. She got a chicken chimichanga. It also looked very tasty. Our meals came out quickly and they were very hot. This was the most delicious option I’ve had at a Mexican restaurant as a vegetarian! Even the rice was good! For hot sauce, they had my favorite, Yucateca on the tables. This was an excellent experience, I know something that will take me back out to Dixie Highway- Piña Fiesta.“

“We had reserved a party room elsewhere and it had been overbooked. I called El Nopal in Hillview and asked about their larger party availability. Gave them a 30 min notice of a party of 30+. They knocked it out of the park with amazing, quick service and had 3 servers tending to our party. Very friendly and took great care of us! Probably earned the biggest tip I’ve ever left an establishment!“

“These are some of the best tacos we have had in KY. We live in Lexington, so we make sure to stop by for some tacos whenever we go to Louisville. Their Aguas frescas(natural flavored waters) are really good too, this last time I got pineapple and my husband got mango. Both were awesome. I didn't get a picture since I remembered as I was finishing my tacos. Sorry ?

“This was our first visit to Los Cabo’s (formerly Sergio’s.) The food was fabulous. Fresh, hot and full of flavor. I got the beef chimichanga. It came with guacamole, sour cream, pico-de-gallo, rice and refried beans. Wow! It was so delicious. My husband had the burrito supreme. The presentation was gorgeous. His burrito came with sour cream, lettuce, tomato, beans and rice. It was fantastic! So full of fresh ingredients. The staff there are super friendly and took care of our every need. We will definitely be going back.“

“By the time I got home my takeout was cold but the enchilada mole was still so good! I love a good mole and since every family has a slightly different recipe, I want to try them all. I cannot imagine how it will taste fresh in the restaurant. It came with guac salad (usually an upcharge) and rice. I’m still eating it now and it is so good.

Vegetarian options: There are many veg options but many contain cheese, so not vegan. Also unsure of cross contamination practices to keep meet products away.

Parking: In a strip mall. Plenty of spaces.“

I’ve never had to wait for a table at this location. The staff is quick to bring your chips and salsa, as well as taking drink orders. The salsa is terrific.

Choose from a variety of dishes ranging from burritos to seafood. You can’t go wrong, everything is good! Personal favorite is the new Carnitas Fajitas. And be ready to eat because it’s coming out quick!

I also really like their rewards program for free queso, and discounted meals.“

“This has been my favorite Nexican restaurant for years. However, yesterday I ordered green peppers stuffed with cheese, rice, & beans to go. The sides were excellent, as always. But the sauce on the stuffed peppers was too salty, which had never been the case before. Hopefully, this was a one-off incident.“

“Fantastic! We had just arrived at the airport and noticed this restaurant while looking for a motel. It was 10 minutes until closing, and we were graciously welcomed to come in even though it was obvious the staff would be held over to serve us. The food was served quickly and was very delicious. Our waitress helped us locate lodging and gave directions how to find it. If we lived in Louisville, this restaurant would see us on a regular basis. Very impressed…5-star rating!!!“
