“I'm from San Diego (home of incredible, authentic Mexican food) and I've been struggling to find a good burrito for the past 3 years that I've lived in Louisville - not even joking. There are some chains I really enjoy such as Taco City and Bandidos, but it's not the same authentic taste I'm used to. I'm here to say I've FINALLY found my go-to Mexican food!!! Prices are very reasonable and the taste is authentic. It truly reminds me of home. This was the highlight of my weekend and I've been telling everybody who will listen. Will definitely be back soon!“

“We were in Louisville for just a quick trip and our family was looking for a good authentic Mexican place to eat. We were SO GLAD to have found this place! The ambience is amazing and so beautifully decorated. The service was perfect, but the best part of all was THE FOOD. The specials were Caldo de Camaron, Pozole Verde, and Chiles Rellenos all super authentic and tasted just like one would make it at home. The drinks were fantastic, we had agua de horchata and jamaica and both were sooo fresh and tasty. Overall, we were happy that the one place we chose to eat was here!! “Sofia’s is ALWAYS fresh. I’ve yet to get something I didn’t enjoy while here. Everything I’ve tried is amazing. Love a good burrito but the fajitas are top notch. Salsa is refreshing. Pico is delicious. Birria and barbacoa are to die for. The staff is absolutely the best. It’s our weekly date spot and I wouldn’t change it for anything.“

“My girlfriend and I just had one of the best experiences here! Our waitress, Paola, was amazing. She made our experience 10x better. She was kind and super friendly. I asked for recommendations and she did not disappoint! If you ever come here, I’d say to request her if you can! Not only did they quote a couple dollars less per person than other local Mexican restaurants, but they also went out of their way to provide warmer trays and serving utensils. We had to pick up on a Friday night at 6pm, one of their busiest times for sure! The food was hot and delicious! Highly recommend for events as well as for usual, every day dining needs!“

“We went for the 1st time to celebrate our son’s 7th birthday and I have to say they went above and beyond to make his birthday special. The Food is so delicious, and large portions for such a reasonable price. The staff was amazing and very friendly! I highly recommend! We definitely will be coming back again!!“

“I was in from Chicago. Ordered food before closing and picked up. Ladies at front counter were very nice. Portions were huge. I ordered the 3 carnitas tacos w/ rice & beans and for my family member a steak huarache.
Next time I'm in Kentucky, I'll definitely stop in to dine in.

“Great food, and good service. I'd like to highlight a different experience I had with them. I accidentally left my wallet Friday evening, and someone turned it in. I called and they made it super easy for me to pick up before they even opened, and properly vetted me to make sure it was mine. I really appreciate their effort and kindness.“

“Mexican dishes, full menu, kind and attentive service, full-service bar and patio dining, sidewalk accessibility, smoking area, large indoor tables with flat screen TV's on every major channel, what more can I say! “I love coming here! Food is really good for the money spent and I always leave satisfied. Since this place opened, i stopped going to the qdoba nearby which was my go-to. The workers mainly speak spanish which is to be expected with how (pretty much) authentic the food is. So if you love good food and want to practice your spanish, this is a great place for it. A downside is they dont serve alcohol because the owners are religious from what ive heard. Also id stay away from the chips and queso here. The quesos stiff.“

“Excellent service, delicious and consistent food, best shredded chicken of any Mexican restaurant I’ve been to in La Grange or East Louisville. I have celiac disease and have not had any reaction to their chips, salsa, or cheese dip (nor anything else I’ve ordered so far - taco salad with shredded chicken no tortilla shell, shredded chicken tacos, refried beans, rice). 10/10 recommend!“

“What makes me mad, is I ordered a burrito. Chicken, Rice, onions, black beans and cilantro. Why is it stuffed so full I can't eat it without taking it back to work, and getting a bowl. If I wanted a burrito bowl, I would have ordered one. This fell apart bursting out of the burrito shell as soon as I tried to open it. I could not even begin to take a bite. It's a gorgeous day outside and I wanted to eat at the picnic table.
Also, wipe down your nasty drink fridge. It looks like a million nasty hands have opened that door and it has never been wiped off.

“We go here about once a month and always have good food and service. Birria tacos are great!
I noticed reviews griping about the prices, I also noticed kids sitting down at tables and gorging on chips and salsa and then leaving. No wonder a coke there is $3.50. everything is more expensive now if you hadn't noticed“

“This isn't my favorite location, but this one still had great food and great salsa.
Last time I went with my daughter, she got a quesadilla with lots of extra stuff to go inside. I got a burrito for Moe's Monday (which you can ONLY get a discount, IF you have the app and show your barcode at checkout).
They had LOTS of salsa for us to take home, and everything was delish!
The staff looked like they didn't want to be there, unfortunately. :/
Nobody says, "Welcome to Moe's" anymore...not when I was there anyway. :(
