“1/25/2025 First time here. Wonderful experience. The food was incredible. We had 2 special items for the week..the chicken tortilla soup and Alambre tacos. Food was fresh and extremely flavorful. The taco tortilla was lightly fried and was crispy, not gummy like most. We had the Elote(corn off the cob) topped with a lime Crema maybe that was the best I have ever had. Margarita was delicious and a large glass was only $9.00. The place looks small from the outside but dining room is open and pretty large. This will be on our rotation list of places to eat at least every two weeks! Mark and Tiffany“

Absolutely loved this place! I came in craving some good Mexican food and left completely satisfied. I had the quesadilla and tacos — both were packed with flavor, fresh ingredients, and just the right amount of spice. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, and what really stood out was the service. Our server, Jose, was fantastic — super friendly, attentive, and made great recommendations. Highly recommend this spot if you’re in the mood for delicious food and great service!“

We started with the tostadas and salsa, which were delicious and had a nice kick. We also enjoyed the Hamachi, the Tijuanero (steak taco), and the large plate chicken enchiladas verde, all of which were made to order and full of flavor. The margaritas were also a highlight, with the ghost and guava margarita being a standout. All of their margaritas are crafted in-house, making them a healthier option. “Wow, where do I begin? I was there for lunch, and the garage doors were open which created a great atmosphere. The food was flat out amazing and so flavorful. The wings were also on point. I would not typically order wings from a taco joint, but after being advised they're great, we tried them and I can't disagree! Magnificent. And the sauce they serve is far from a conventional wing sauce, but it's delicious! I highly recommend this place in every aspect. Oh, and the staff was knowledgeable, friendly, and punctual. “El Barril is a really awesome Mexican joint we found in Mount Adam's in Cincinnati. It had both indoor and outdoor seating but on this day we decided on the inside. The restaurant looks really super fun with lots of tremendous decor with even the chairs being unique (and comfortable too.) They had a lot of unique takes on Mexican dishes (lots of unique burgers on the menu for one) as well as some classic favourites. We started with an appetizer of Buffalo Chicken Dip which was a straightforward take on it. It had lot's of chicken, a very flavourful but not too spicy Buffalo sauce, and some blue cheese mixed in. It was served with chips. This was as good of take as I've had on a Buffalo Dip that I've had from anyplace. For my main course I tried the Bang Bang Shrimp Tacos which was 3 hard tacos served with grilled shrimp topped with spicy Bang Bang sauce as well as cilantro. This was very unique but very delicious all the same. The shrimp was cooked perfectly and that sauce I would describe as zesty with a slight punch but not too much. Really liked them a lot. My wife enjoyed her Margarita as well as her food (I believe it was a pork dish but I forgot to take a picture). This was a super fantastic lunch and I for one can't wait to come back.“

The tacos are not dry and plain. They're good. Tortilla fresh evrything ive had has been great. “The food was amazing! Their rice is better than ANY other. Loved the black beans. We started with chips and guacamole. It was thick and smooth and delicious. We had a veggie meals, bean burrito, cheese enchilada with rice and bean.??My husband had 2 enchiladas, refried beans, and rice!! We will be back with friends and give a shout-out to our hungry neighbors.

Vegetarian options: You will not be disappointed with the rice and beans alone! Gauc was the best!!!

Dietary restrictions: They had a page of vegetarian option.

Parking: It is located in the strip mall there is more than enough parking for everyone.

Kid-friendliness: Parents came in with a child while we were there. Bench seats are very big. Small kids have tons of room“

“Best tripa tacos in greater Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky area. Can't go wrong with any of the tacos on the menu, but tripa is my favorite for both the crisp and the chew. Love the menudo and wish it was available every day instead of just the weekend.Super quick service and always delicious salsa.

“Absolutely a hidden gem in Cincinnati. Real authentic Mexican food. I've been a regular in the past year or two and had tried everything on the menu and a few off the menu. All great especially lengua, cabeza and the tortas(huge). Owner family is friendly.

Vegetarian options: You don't really go to taco truck for vegetarian stuff.

Parking: It's in a gas station just park where you see fit.“
