It’s hard to pick a favorite as all flavors were great from crème brûlée, brown butter snickerdoodle, peanut butter cup, lemon butter to brookie. The cookies were very well packaged for our trip home. The service was friendly and fast.“

“We went to MozzaPi with our 4 year old grandson last night and had the best pie! The staff are amazing, welcoming and kind. We had a little spill incident with the 4 yo and they were so very understanding. Thank you to the lovely woman at the order counter. She rocks! The food was outstanding! “I have been here twice and love it. One day I hope to be in a position to adopt one of the lovely felines I got to play with.Their drinks are fantastic and so are their bakery items! “Wonderful hole-in-the-wall Cuban food. Clean and understated place that produces excellent staple foods. The Lechon Asado was perfectly cooked and seasoned. The tostones were great, and the plantains were fresh. Fresh bread lines one wall, and their dessert cooler looks like pure evil! I felt like I was in Miami.“

“We LOVE Half Peach. It is always one of our favorites when we are in town. The best assortment of vegan desserts in Louisville that are all amazing and a smaller food menu. Our favorites are the big Chik'n Miso salad, the drumsticks, and the pizzas. I went here for my birthday in February and stuffed myself and still had leftovers. The portions are very generous and the staff is super friendly and helpful.“

Really great place to order cookies from and they have fast service both in store and when you order.Parking: Parking is super easy and easy and safe to get to. Shelbyville road can be a bit hectic but it's the light where the corner of first watch is. So getting to the store is alot safer than some turns you may have to make in middle town“

“I cannot begin to say how pleased I was with the cookies that Kathy did for my daughter's PhD celebration! It was an unusual theme - Chemistry - and she absolutely hit it out of the park. From coming up with the ideas to the actual production. I mean, cookies with labcoats, atoms, flasks? She thought of it all. And then to top it off, they were beautifully and artfully decorated. Kathy went above and beyond my expectations and I wholeheartedly recommend her services.“

“I recently started going back here but my family would stop weekly here for their donuts ? they are so delicious. The glaze donuts melt in your mouth and the variety of donuts are just as delicious. “Yummy gyro. It's a good sized portion for 8 bucks. Unconventional, but exceptionally good bread instead of pita baked from scratch in store every day. Clean, updated dining area. They also have some Eastern European treats on the shelf to take with.“

“Alright... time to give it up and announce my number 1 place to get ropa vieja is now La Palma!Seriously, I can be rather picky about ropa vieja but I gobbled this one right up. The flavors were there and the texture was amazing. I find sometimes if it cooks too long it can become *too fine*. This however was perfectly shredded. Now the black beans.... Absolutely delicious. They arnt my favorite I've ever had but they will be taking the #2 spot. I prefer soup-y beans and this was just the right consistency.You may have noticed I got white rice.... It's honestly because I wanted to be able to eat it with the beans & ropa vieja without the flavors interfering. There were two other options, and perhaps I'll try them in the future, but this time I was glad I got plain white.The building is located off Preston and has a smaller parking lot, but usually has a few spots open. there was some seating inside but i chose to grab it and go. I noticed a cute neon sign with the name, i wish i would've grabbed a picture! thats okay.. it gives me an excuse to come back sooner;)Last thoughts: Best ropa vieja Ive ever had. Huge portion at a good price. Yummy rice & beans. Can't wait to revisit!“

“Working with this baker, she was amazing. Made our custom design come to life. Picking a flavor was so hard because her flavors were so yummy. Our top is strawberry, middle is bailey's and bottom is strawberry. This fed enough ppl plus more with us saving our top cake. We estimated 75 people when ordering. She arrived on time and the cake was just gorgeous.“

“Ordered a Birthday Cake for my mom's 80th Birthday Party and can't express enough how beautiful the cake was and how tasty! I ordered the 14" two tier (lemon flavored with whipped icing) and it fed approx 55 people (with quite a bit left over). There were so many people that commented on how beautiful it was. “This is my favorite Mexican food in louisville. I have been to most. We always shop first.they really have the best store here.wonderful meat market. The we go to the restaurant. Very good caldo de res. Chicken quesadilla is one of the best. Very simple and quick. Steak burrito is plentiful. Beans and rice,good. Then to the bakery. Very good,fresh breads,cookies and cakes. Lastly, dessert. Nice fruit and ice cream. My wife always gets flan for take home. The main ingredient? Customer service is the best here. We have been going here for years and not once had a rude person wait on us!! Seriously, everyone has been kind and helpful at this establishment. That,more than anything keeps our business.“

“It's Labor Day and we just spent 3 hours at the Louisville Zoo and 90° weather. We got in the car and thought "Man, ice cream sounds great!"A quick Google search lead us to Ehlers. We haven't been to this location before and it was right on our way home, so it was an easy choice.This Ehlers location is kinda small, but comfy small. There are 4 or 5 tables and some tall chairs at a counter that look outside. I get the feeling this location is relatively new, and it's very welcoming and makes you think "ice cream!". She then turned around and got our scoops for us. “This is the cutest bakery. The croissants were delicious! There are a few places to sit down and enjoy your coffee and baked goods. The staff were incredibly kind and polite. They go above and beyond in service. In the short time I was there, I watched them accommodate many extra requests with grace and ease as well as the manager treating her employees with extra kindness. Definitely check this place out!“

“I am Cuban, so I like many offers of this place. The staff is very courteous. The store area is small but you can find many food options. The cafeteria is bigger than the store, but we haven't had any luck with the pizzas. At least the Hawaiian ones have practically no flavor. I suggest trying another option.“

“Wanted to share my most recent experience at this location. Bundt cakes are a go-to for all of our special occasions, so I stopped in to pick up a cake for a friend's birthday out of town. The clerk was so helpful, offering add-ons and suggestions for how to make her cake extra special. The service was great! On my way out, I tripped on the sidewalk, and both employees quickly came out to help, checked on my cakes and taped back up my boxes. They were so kind and truly went above and beyond. Thank you!“

“Amazing experience, my 1st time there, and the guy let me have an extra donut i desired, he was very attentive and the donuts are so fairly priced, I like that they fill the jelly/custard/and cream right in front of you, and are very generous with that, and everything else, if I would of had it, I would of tipped the tip jar with a 100$bill, oh and the sizes of the huge delicious bear claws, and cinnamon rolls are huge! “My fiancé took me here to try Gigi’s Cupcakes for the first time, since cupcakes are my weakness. I limited myself to just one, but I now know that I won’t be able to when we return!I got a Lemon Blueberry cupcake, and it was DIVINE! The cake was moist, the icing was fluffy, and the fruit flavours were super prominent. I was wowed after the first bite! There were little bits of sugar on top of the blueberry icing that added the perfect crunch. The cupcake also came in a cute green decorative box that was designed to look like a present.I definitely recommend Gigi’s cupcakes. My only regret is that I didn’t sample several at a time! We will be back soon to get more, and I have my eyes on the Scarlet’s Red Velvet cupcake, Cherry Cheesecake and Chocolate Salted Caramel cupcake!Parking: It is located in a outlet mall location with free parking.Kid-friendliness: Cupcakes! “We heard about La Morena through Yelp's virtual event with Farm + House and decided to visit this bakery in person to check it out. As we parked we noticed that OPEN light was off. It was an afternoon so we thought maybe they had closed, but when we were through shopping at the small Mexican grocery next door the sign was lit, so we went in. It's a small business and our visit was in the middle of a pandemic, so odd hours are understandable. The storefront is recognizable if you've been to other panaderias: trays and tongs for self-service, glass-doored cases with shelves of panes dulces and breads, a refrigerator with packaged slices of cake. True to their name, they also carry tortillas, chips, and bags of masa (the latter found in the refrigerated case). The pastry selection is pretty standard: conchas, donuts, filled pastries, orejas, marranitos, tri-color cookies, etc. At the counter, there's a book with images of cakes that can be special ordered. I thought we went overboard selecting pastries on our first visit, but for only $8 we got half a dozen cookies/pastries and a piece of tres leches cake. It was a steal; all were good. We've also ordered through Farm+House, which is nice since La Morena is a drive for us. This has enabled us to try more items, including their telera rolls, tortillas, and tortilla chips. It's definitely worth a visit if you are in the area. If you aren't in the area, maybe manufacture and excuse to be so you can check out these baked goods.“

Service was amazing and price was much less than it was worth. Mari was amazing to work with. Her lovely smile was very welcoming and warming. She tried very hard to help in every way and was an amazing person to work with.“
