“Yummy food! I have been to Ethiopian restaurants all over the USA and Europe, and this is among the best! The beef sambusas were especially delicious. I loved the drink too which I have never had anywhere else, the Abyssinia Comfort Smoothie.....yummmmmy! I would definitely come back for more sambusas and smoothies!“
“When staying at the Galt House, the Addis Grill is a short walk away for a nice lunch. I enjoyed the Grilled Chicken Salad with fresh greens and loaded with tender slices of chicken. Large portions. Friendly owner anxious for us to enjoy our meals. My friends were more adventurous and raved over their Mediterranean dishes.“
“I’m a huge fan of Ethiopian food and Queen of Sheba was delicious. I ordered the vegetarian combo dish and Sega Wot. Both were delicious and they gave me plenty of injera. I’ll definitely be back.Dietary restrictions: Good for gluten free or vegetarian or vegan.Parking: Plenty of parking.“
“EASILY the best Habesha food in Louisville. I took my friends there a few weeks ago and we were NOT disappointed. Top tier service and atmosphere. Food was incredible too!!!! I grew up around Habesha people so I do not play about my East African food!!!!! Habesha Restaurant and Grocery came through clutch!!!!! My mouth was transported to Asmara after just a few bites“
“Addis is our weekly lunch spot on Tuesdays because it's walking distance from work and is consistently DELICIOUS every single time! The chicken curry is my go-to, but the chicken kebabs, beef kebab, etc- literally everything is gold! Don't sleep on Addis (good luck finding parking though) ?“
“This place is amazing. I actually forgot to take pictures because I was too distracted talking to the owner about the amazing atmosphere and Ethiopian language and his experiences as an immigrant in the US and his very fancy coffee machine that he was very proud of ("the Telsla of coffee makers", he called it! He showed me how it works, and it is - in fact - the Tesla of coffee machines). So not only was the service and atmosphere absolutely inviting, the quality of human interaction I experienced was remarkable. I spent a full hour just talking and asking questions and getting to know the people working that day. Also - they have a printer available for anyone to use (pay like $.15/page or something) - all you have to do is email them and tell them "hey im having this printed and I'm going to come get it in half an hour" - which is such a thoughtful service to offer, especially for those of us who dont have a home printer but still need to be able to print resumes and school assignments or various forms required for daily adult life. So - if you're just looking for a great cup of coffee or a tasty treat, I would highly recommend this place. My medium coffee and baklava (a generous serving) came out to $11 - very reasonably priced. If you are looking to connect with new people and experience a sense of community and perhaps indulge in a bit of cultural exchange, in addition to enjoying a delicious coffee, I can assure you that you wont be disappointed at Abol Cafe.“
