“I literally drive from Middletown for this Chinese food. Not to be misleading, it's not like it's some sort of Michelin star restaurant. But it's the way Chinese food is supposed to be and its consistent. I absolutely love that I can pay extra to have white meat only and I absolutely love that I can pay to have a couple of eggs thrown into my fried rice.. they are always delightful when I run him to pick up my food. Like I said, I drive from Middletown for Togo.“
“Best take out Chinese in Louisville. The food is always served fresh, hot and fast. The portions are huge! There are several other Chinese takeout places closer to my house but I will drive the extra miles to get food from Oriental Cafe. The hibachi chicken is my favorite.Just updating to say that this is still my favorite place to go for Chinese takeout. The owners there are so sweet and friendlyOver the past 7 years I have discovered many new favorite dishes, that I honestly can’t pick just one. I don’t think there is probably anything on the menu that doesn’t taste great. The delivery drivers are always friendly and fast when they bring food to my place of employment. They recently have started doing catering and the office I work in has used it. Even with the all the large portions of entrees, lomein noodles, fried rice an appetizers, the food was hot, fresh and amazing, and arrived right at the time we asked for it to be. The delivery driver that brought all of the food was very friendly and helpful. And I love that I can also order from DoorDash to have it delivered to my home.“
“Egg rolls- fresh, deliciousSpring rolls- fresh, deliciousSesame balls- fresh, deliciousMapo tofu with fried rice- fresh, delicious. I expected the mapo tofu to be spicier since it's supposed to have a lot of peppers as the basis of the dish. It has almost no initial bite of spiciness. I can only feel whatever spiciness is there as a lingering but pleasant warm tingle around the mouth and lips in between bites of food. Not what I was expecting, but still flavorful and delicious. Would like to try the real deal sometime.“
“My companies goto place for great Chinese food.Lunch specials are filling and well priced.Bento Boxes are packed with food.Food is made quickly, I can order and leave to go pick it up and it is usually ready.Best lo mein I have had, very flavorful and soaks up the sauces from entrees.Vegetarian options: tofu entrees, veggie stir fry, veggie spring roles, salad with ginger dressing.“
“Best Chinese food in the this area. Small but what it lacks in size it makes up for In delicious food. The staff are all so friendly and kinda have become like part of the family. Like other restaurants in this town the building was once something else and I have a lot of memories going there when it was a Dairy Queen. Even more memories from when it was a Druthers. The carpet has worn where people walk and I can still see the pattern of the old tile floor and I remember spending many mornings there with my papaw with his Druthers coffee crew. So it now looks different inside but still feels like a comfortable place. I love going there my kids love hanging out with the employees when they finish their food. Just love this place!! You won't be disappointed.“
“Nice looking restaurant and decor. Waitress was friendly and provided good service. The wonton soup was hot and tasty. It was just a tad bit over salted. I ordered the Moo Goo Shrimp. It was a nicely flavored entree. This is a nice restaurant for a nice quiet to meal.“
“Wonderful establishment that was a perfect selection for our dining group of 8 on a Wednesday evening. Service was fantastic starting with happy hour at the bar and continued as we migrated to our dining table and throughout the evening. The vegetable spring roll was a great selection as an appetizer and was tightly packed with crisp tender cabbage, carrot, and spices and wrapper was just-right and crunchy. This was accompanied with the pomegranate cocktail, which tended toward being sweet and just shy of syrupy. Choice of entree was mahi mahi on a bed of vegetables and vermicelli noodles in a nicely spicy heat curry sauce. Bowls of white, brown, and fried rice were brought to the table and very welcomed to take advantage of the sauce. The property has ample and easy parking located off of Lexington Road near Grinstead Drive. The restaurant is open and airy and noise level was mild, which was wonderful for our dinner conversation. Happy to return and to recommend based on the quality and value.“
“I haven't been here for a while, since I live a good distance away. This place is a very large step up from the average overly sweet, overly oily, Asian fast food that I generally find.I got an eggroll and chicken lo mein. They have the real, curiously hard to find, light-you-up Chinese mustard at the table. (It's so disappointing when you're expecting the real thing and get the fake stuff.)The lo mein was really good. It was full of chicken and the variety of veggies one would expect from a quality plate of lo mein.“
“This was our favorite "shitty" Chinese. It is not shitty at all. The pieces of pork in the fried rice take it to the next level. Service was quick even though the restaurant was super busy. We were able to talk to another patron that has been coming here for 40+ years. That kind of loyalty is amazing. I get it though. The egg roll was hot, crispy, and delicious. Even after a 15 minute drive home. We ordered general tsos and it was delicious as expected. I'm excited to return to taste the spicier dishes. Highly recommend!“
“This is easily one of the best Chinese buffets in town. Huge selection, plus a sushi/hibachi section and it's constantly refreshed with hot and fresh food. Love their jalapeño chicken! They have some really juicy, ripe, fresh fruit too. Also, you can't beat the price. Even at dinner, you can pay less than $20 per person and eat to your heart's content. One of my favorite food spots in Louisville.“
“I love Thai food and have been to many good Thai places across the country throughout my travels. I don't know how much I can speak to authenticity, but I know what my tongue and palette like . At Simply Thai, I got the chicken pineapple fried rice and chicken kaow soi, both spice level 3 (out of 5). I liked the pineapple fried rice. It was very good and came in a pineapple which was cool. Portion size was decent too. The kaow soi was alright. The curry was quite watery and the noodles were wheat noodles. This kept it from really picking up the tastes of the curry, which made it a little blander than I would have liked. Simply Thai is always busy, but the servers are very nice and attentive despite the busyness. It's got a lot of seating, but once again is always busy, so you have to go early to beat the rush! They do, however, usually have extra seating available at the bar even if you don't order a drink, as long as you're over 21. The restaurant has a great environment with a lot of cultural decorations that spice up the place. All in all, Simply Thai is simply a good place to go for some good Thai food, as long as you don't mind a wait!“
“Nice little Chinese restaurant downtown. Their food is great and the employees are friendly. They usually have your order ready in ten minutes or less. They keep it clean. My favorite Chinese restaurant downtown. The pork fried rice I ordered there today was delicious.Parking: Their parking area is in the rear of the building. There is plenty of parking back there.Wheelchair accessibility: They have wheel chair accessibility in the parking lot and the entrance. You will probably need someone to hold the door open for you when you go in. I went in there on crutches one time. I had a little trouble with the door.“
“Had a minor hiccup that was entirely the fault of doordash. But once we figured out the issue, the woman I spoke to was more than helpful and went above and beyond to correct the problem. The food was great, and I would definitely be willing to eat there again. Great job.“
“I am a regular customer at China Star located next to Kroger supermarket at North Hubbards Lane. The restaurant is run by a friendly and warm husband and wife team. The food is tasty and economically priced. My family and I wish them the very best.“
“Great Wall has been offering the best fast Chinese food in the area for years. Since covid, there is no longer seating offered for dine in...but they ensure your food will still be hot when you get home. They will likely be busy, but it's worth waiting for; just plan ahead!“
“It's a hole-in-the-wall. Like many other places similar to it. The food really isn't terrible it's actually just what you would expect it to be. Decent. The employees are nice. The parking is minimal and the area is complex to get in and out “
“This is definitely an above average buffet. Fresh, hot, good quality food. Sushi is great! Neat, clean restaurant, clean, fresh restrooms, and friendly, always smiling staff.Overall, I think this is, by far, the best buffet I've been to!Kid-friendliness: We came there with 4 children, the restaurant staff was very accommodating, the kids left very satisfied, as well as us, the parents ?“
“I absolutely adore this place. I come often to get their crab rangoon, but occasionally I get something else. Regardless of what I get, the food is top-notch. The service is amazing, everyone is very friendly, and the aesthetic is lovely. 10/10.“
“They had an A rating on the glass window and other than a table that needed cleaning up, it was fine from all I could see; bathroom included. Had the mixed vegetables in brown sauce with white rice and really enjoyed it.The vegetables were served in their own container with a top in it to keep hot. The rice was on a Styrofoam place of its own.Unfortunately, when we each ordered water, we weren't initially told they had no machine or tap water as their soft drink dispenser was broken. We paid for bottled water. He was nice enough to let me have a second bottle as I drink a lot of H2O these days. Would definitely go back if in the area.Parking: Shopping center lot so lots of it available.“
“This restaurant is fairly close to our house, so we order for pick up a few times a month and it’s always super hot & fresh and delicious. My favorite items so far are the Mongolian Beef, Beef and Broccoli , Sweet-and-Sour Chicken, House Lo Mein, Egg rolls…and of course Crab Rangoon! They also have a good soups! The family that runs this restaurant seem very kind and are always helpful and gracious!“
“My dining experience there at PF Chang's was a very pleasant and exciting event for me being the first time dining there I have passed this restaurant up several times saying that I was going to visit finally I embarked on a dining experience that I enjoyed very much keep up the good work looking forward to coming back and dine again“
“Ordered Door Dash while working in Louisville and it's always a toss up if someplace will be good or not. Let me tell you...Mongolian beef was exceptional!! I grew up in pacific rim so and so many Chinese places are "americanized" with run-of-the-mill (bland) flavors and less than authentic taste. This place gets it RIGHT and I will definitely be putting them on the places to eat when I'm back that way again!“
“The food is good at this little Asian restaurant- everything is fresh and flavorful.I usually get a light dinner- an Egg Roll, a cup of Wonton Soup, and a kid's meal of Beef with Broccoli, all recommended.Service is pretty efficient, but not particularly friendly. The menu seems to be mostly Chinese, but they also have Sushi.“
“It's your typical small Chinese restaurant. The best thing is that the carry-out service is quick and doesn't cost a ton, which is becoming a rarity downtown. Never tried the buffet because I'm not a buffet person, but people always seem to be eating it during lunch time.“
“Called in order over phone. Was told it would be ready in 20 minutes. Arrived in 20 minutes and it was bagged ready to go. It was delicious. The lunch size servings seem to be a little smaller than previously when I ate there. But it was all hot, fresh, and tasty. I will go back.“
“Love this restaurant. You can tell the people who cook the food make it with love. I don't know how you can tell but you can. Never experienced that before but it is always wonderful, timely, and exactly what we ordered how we ordered it. Thank you whoever worked the afternoon of 1/13/23 my family and I loved it and appreciate your thoughtfulness!“
“Usually utilize their drive thru. Always efficient and the staff is very friendly. I love their staple, orange chicken. The honey walnut shrimp and the honey sesame chicken are also very good. For me, this bang for the buck. Good value and quick.“
“I've loved Great Wall for over 20 years. A neighborhood staple. Best Chinese fast food in Louisville. I have eaten everything on the lunch menu. No really - everything in order. Garlic sauce and broccoli are highlights, but everything is exceptional. Great job Johnny!“
“The portions of each dish were larger than expected, not a bad thing! We had tom ka gai, tom yum, beef salad and a chicken bhan mi. The thai food was slightly sweeter than what I've had from other thai restaurants but still delicious nonetheless.“
“We went to Ramsi's and there was an hour and a half wait so we figured we would check The Joy Luck and we were seated immediately. It's a small place and you could miss it if you weren't looking for it, or parked in front of it looking for a backup restaurant. We started with the Pork Buns, which I've never had before and they were unusual but good. My wife had the Mu Shu with beef and fried rice which she enjoyed and it was a decent sized portion, she had lots of leftovers. I had the 5 Flavor with shrimp and steamed rice and it was like a flavor explosion in my mouth. This was a good find and something different from our ordinary spots.“
“My absolute favorite Chinese Food place. Lots of take out orders filled, which allows for the few tables to remain available. It's my go to for a quite dinning experience with amazingly flavorful food. My favorite dish is the Hunan Shrimp with broccoli, snow peas and carrots only. It never disappoints! The staff is always friendly and accommodating with requests. I'm heading that way for lunch, delicious! Highly recommended! ?Vegetarian options: The vegetables are fresh and prepared well. Highly recommend!“
“Sometimes we hesitate to tell about good places, because we want to keep it a secret to ourselves! But in all good conscience, I have to spread the word. This place never lets me down, and I've ordered from them for takeout or delivery many times. Reasonable prices, tasty food, courteous service (Mei is wonderful), delivery available. It has it all. Delivered food arrives quickly and piping hot. Orders are always correct, right down to the side sauces, utensils, etc. I recommend it highly. The lunch specials are especially good values. I have zero complaints, and much praise for this fine restaurant. Just two considerations for full honesty: It is a storefront & not really so much a dine-in destination. While you could, the tables are more for possibly a quick lunch, or waiting for your order, than for dining. Although clean and pleasant, it's not about atmosphere there, if that's what you seek. And second, due to the price and perishability of fresh seafood, that isn't really a strong point here for an entree. So, please give it a try with confidence of a good meal at a fair price! Much better than a burger fast food drive through! And support a local business! They are very nice people!“
“They rob people one Sunday, my husband and I went and the cashier didn't know how to correctly give us the ticket for the food we took home, it was too much money, she charged like. $20 a pound if you don't get ready they take money out of your purse without you realizing “
“The Tea Station is one of our go to restaurants for the entire family. We enjoy the summer outdoor setting when it's warm out. It's a little small inside but it's quaint & cute. We often order to go and take it home as well. I recommend the lettuce wraps. Always a favorite.“
