“i never write these posts but i had to shout out Russell and Simra/Samra (unsure of the spelling). They work at the Fern Creek location and really helped turn my bad day around today!! they went out of their way to make sure that i was okay and even gave me a free drink when they didn’t need to. this location is so far out of the way for me but because of their service and warm personalities i will be back!! please somebody make sure they see this“

“The bagels are fresh and flavorful. The cream cheese mixes are full of spices and are so good. Chicken noodle soup is really good and flavorful with some great broth. The only thing I would suggest is for someone to clean the walls and ledges as they were really dusty. That is kind of off putting. The counter in the front appeared clean. We will be back!“

I also witnessed extreme rudeness to a door dash driver who had clearly been waiting a while and when they asked about the order having been marked 10 minutes ago as ready they were told "We don't care about YOUR numbers, we have to appear to be on time." He looked like management. I turned and left, I will not do business with someone being rude to staff or anyone providing a service to them any more than rudeness to customers.“

So i googled Ethiopian coffee shops in Louisville and found Abol cafe. visited today and had some pour over coffee, it was the best coffe i've ever had, and i have tried coffee everywhere!!!! believe me when I say this place has the best Coffee around. This place more than exceeded my expectations of Ethiooian Coffee!!!! I will be visiting this place alot more.“

Really interesting story on their more recent challenges and how they have thrived/survived. They have some great whiskeys to try and some of their unique finished stuff is incredible. “Went there today for my first time very great atmosphere didn’t know what I was wanting to get or what I should get so I decide to ask an employee there what they think is a good recommendation. After a few recommendations I decided to go with something and when I did, I was not disappointed. I’m sure there is multiple other things there that are very good but all in all great experience very well ran and very respectful employees will definitely be going back and recommending it to others. They sure did brighten my evening!“

There's no place except the smoking barn to escape the loud music.“

“I want to thank Guy for giving us a great early Valentine's dinner. He found a table for us at the last minute and even got us out quickly to catch a show. They were very busy, but he still found time to make us feel special. The food and drinks were great as always!“

“If you are looking for top end coffee, Fante's has the best beans in town. They source directly with the farmers and hand roast everything themselves. Each bag is hand marked with the date/roast/etc.

I talked with one of their roasters, Derek, and he walked me through all the details about each blend. You could tell he was a craftsman and knew his art. Lots of different choices, and each bag brings out the best of what that particular bean or blend of beans has to offer. If you want to taste what coffee actually is supposed to taste like, get your beans here. Best in city!“

“As a Texas native, is very difficult to find a Mexican restaurant whose dishes can beat the flavor of the TEX-MEX dishes that I’m used to, and well this place is among my top 3 best breakfast restaurants in the country.

Lots of Atole de fresa (delicious)

“First of all, we are not even sweets eaters. But, after our recent trip to Italy for the first time, we have been longing for authentic gelato. Stopped in tonight to get some to go, honestly was trying to keep my hopes reasonable. Bought mint choc chip, salted caramel and orange creamsicle. Tried two and oh my!!! The creamy texture and flavors took us right back! Love this place and will return!“
