“I always order the TexMex chicken enchiladas for take out since they don'thave fountain drinks. Portions are generous and the food is great. My only complaint is if you pay by card the card service they use wants your email address which they sell to other merchants.

“Great little hole in the wall place. The front of the store is a small Hispanic grocery store and the back is the restaurant. Everything was made fresh and it was large portions for the price. “So I’ve been to Veracruz once before, to meet up with some friends for some chips and drinks. So I was pleased to do a date night at Veracruz. The atmosphere is like an elevated dining experience with the decorations and with a Latin theme. We started off with the corn dip, which is very good. My wife got the shrimp quesadilla and she loved it. I got the chicken and steak fajitas and I use some of the corn dip to make my tacos. Wow the flavors melted together extremely well. All in all a great dining experience.“

This is Rio Grande Valley-level of taquerias. If this was in Austin or San Antonio, it would be on types of lists.

Salsas are on point, everything was super fresh. They have some Honduran items on the menu as well. Their papusas were excellent and I cleaned up on their Platanitos Fritos.

They had the best crispy tripas I have ever had. I would 100% recommend this place to people looking for a great taqueria in Baton Rouge.“
