“My husband and I ate here a year ago and we still talk about it! We were driving through and found it by accident. We tried many dishes, like the table side guacamole, burrito, enchilada, nachos, and margaritas. Everything was excellent and the owner even came by to chat with us. We are considering making a 6 hr drive just to eat here again! Thanks for the great experience!“

“Desmond was awesome he’s the store manager at the Taco Bell in Carencro, La. & it was a late night when I was driving through town to get back home. Although it was late he was super friendly, the service was fast, amazing, & he was happy to be at work even at the late hour!When I told him how bad our Taco Bell is and n Eunice, La. You could see the humble pride he took in his work!!! Thank You Desmond I will be visiting your store again despite the long ride; it was so worth it!“

“Been coming here since about 2010 and the food is always amazing. Living in Lake Charles I do not get to come as often but me and my husband took my grandma here tonight at the new location. Same great taste and excellent customer service. My husband said this is probably the best Mexican food around and that is high praise coming from a Texas boy. Will most definitely be back!The chunky guac is amazing. We had the spicy burrito, fajita burrito and taco salad. All was amazing!Also our server, Fernando, was great and my grandma really loved the way he joked around with her.“

“We drive from Lafayette to Breaux Bridge, because the food and service here are always top shelf!I had the Carnitas, and my wife had the Hacienda Potato, which has to be the largest baked potato that I have ever seen! It was full of grilled shrimp, chicken, Mexican sausage, and cheese. She said that it was To Die For! We also had the guacamole, salsa, and chips. We can't get enough of Hacienda Real Mexican Restaurant!“

“My boyfriend took me here last night for my first time, not long before closing. They could have easily turned us away but didn’t. Not only that, the food was delicious and the portions were large. The Cactus nachos were so good! And the staff was great despite us being “those people”. I half expected to be treated like garbage but our experience was the complete opposite. Will 100% be returning and will recommend this spot to others now.“

“When I drive by this place it doesn’t seem like an “authentic” spot for Mexican food. Luckily I was wrong and finally gave it a try. Ordered a torta which came on a light and fluffy bolillo with lots of flavorful ingredients. Also had a Gordita which had a nice crisp texture. The salsa that came with the chips was not spicy, unfortunately but did have a good flavor. The taco salsas have the spice. Service was friendly, just a little slow. Will definitely keep this one in the rotation.“

“It is a very familiar and welcoming atmosphere, the customer service was fine, average, nothing surprisingly good. The food was delicious and it didn't take that long to wait, and the portions were quite adequate and large. Good experience.“

“This truck has the best authentic barbacoa I've found in Lafayette! I usually get the 3 taco plato with 2 barbacoa and 1 pastor. The refried beans are sometimes a little soupy, but the mexican rice and awesome tacos make up for it. $10 thats it!!“

“This taco truck is amazing. The food is always cooked to perfection and fresh! and staff is also kind! My favorite item is the steak tacos and the quesabirria. If you like spicy food, they always add a seasoned serrano pepper with each order. I like spicy food so it's always nice to get. I eat them all haha. 10/10 would recommend. “This was so simple yet so good lol. I could eat like 10 tacos in one sitting, so authentic. The elote was good but I was surprised when it got watery at the bottom despite being super cheesy at the top and then somewhat creamy in the middle...a layered surprise. I couldn't finish it (see the cup it came in my hand) but I'd still get it again lol. The highlight of the whole thing for me though was the orchata!!! Not pictured but it was huge and extremely extremely delicious. I'll dream about it tonight“

“Don't let the fact that this is inside a convenience store stop you from trying some of the best Honduran food in South Louisiana. They don't pre-cook anything, so plan on 30 minutes for your order to be made ready. Call in before.“

“My favorite food truck in Lafayette. The #9 Tacos (with al pastor) for $8 is my go-to item. The pickled carrots on the side are great. Used to split the meat choice with 2 al pastor and 2 lengue tacos, until the server occasionally wanted to add an additional charge of $3+ for the beef tongue. A bottle of Jarritos Mandarin is $3.“

“Have tried a ton of restaurants since moving to Lafayette about four months ago and this was one of the best experiences yet. We sat at the bar and received the best service. I cannot remember the bar tenders name since this was a couple of weeks ago but she was a step ahead of our every request ensuring we had the best experience. “Although the Breaux Bridge area did not need another restaurant that offers Mexican fare, I am delighted that the owners decided to open one anyway! If I had to use just a few words to describe this place, those words would be flavorful, friendly, HOT, and fresh. I have patronized this establishment 3 times within the past 2 months and I will say that whether you phone in and pick up or dine in, the staff is upbeat, helpful, and very friendly. On my most recent trip, I was craving salad so I settled on the Fajita salad with shrimp, steak, and chicken. Everything was fresh, very well seasoned, and sitting in a crispy bowl. The waitress made sure to pack my bag with a huge serving of freshly fried chips and a nice helping of their house made salsa (something they always do). Mixing a bit of the salsa with the ranch dressing made for a ridiculously delicious addition to the salad. Definitely check this place out and make sure to order a tamale. Although I have disliked tamales my entire life, this place has totally changed my mind and turned me into a tamale lover!“

“To me El Pollo is like the everyday man's Chipotle. Great menu, service and ambience. Their skills with such a simple thing as chicken is fantastic, it's consistently well seasoned, always moist, delicious and reasonably priced. Love the toppings bar, the pico de gallo is good and fresh. Great staff and good in and out dinning.“

“This place is a little hidden gem. They make Pupusas and baleadass. The first is similar to an arepa just different style dough, and the later like a burrito. The menu has many choices of meals as well. The food is made fresh, and has always been delish. Prices are great as well. Many people haven't eaten Honduran food, but it's a hand ups food joint. They have some prepared drinks like at Mexican restaurants, horchata and other flavors. Many choices of soda like Mexican Cokes, and lots of flavored sodas including Jarritos. Great experience every time I pick up food. Usually Futbol on the tv. They also sell music cds of vallenatos, and other styles.“
