“One, if not, the best pho I’ve ever had. I have had my fair share of pho all over the place in different states. So, it is an honor to give this pho such a high praise as I am not someone who is easily pleased with food. At first, the prices were shocking, especially the one with oxtail in it. I ordered the one with oxtail. Right off the bat, when our pho came to our table, they looked incredible with the loaded chopped aromatic herbs (I think it was cilantro and green onions). The broth was incredible—-you can taste the quality and love that was put in. The oxtail was very tender as well. I also love that it wasn’t too sweet like others I’ve had. It tasted just clean and pure! I wish I could eat the entire bowl, but I could only eat half of it because of the enormous size! We were given a small side of chili sauce as well that complimented the pho very well, as we don’t like using sriracha and hoisin sauce in our broth. I personally feel that it overwhelms the delicate flavor of the broth. I wanted to know the brand so I can buy some, but the owner said he made it himself. Overall, I’d pay the price any day for a great, flavorful, savory pho. Looking forward to my next visit in NOLA so I can have a bowl of this amazing pho again! We had a great chat with the owner after our dinner, who spoke very highly and proudly of his method, as he should! Well done!“
“I have visited this restaurant three times in the last few weeks. Being a big fan of Viet cuisine, I wanted to see this restaurants offerings of pho and ban bo hue, a spicy beef soup. The standard pho is good but nothing special. The Ban Bo Hue is amazing. This is not a dish found in most Viet restaurants. It is a fun, flavorful, beef soup that is really delicious. Pho Sunrise is good because they offer a wider selection of God’s Viet dishes. Pricing, atmosphere, and service is average.“
“Service was great. I've been here several times just for a beer, and once before I had the Wings with the Hot Vindaloo which I really liked. Well this time they were out of chicken wings, so I went with the Sober Me Up Pho. I'm not a pho expert, but understand how this version isn't "real pho," but I really liked it. Lots of bacon which isn't traditional and the broth had a good flavor if not an umami bomb like I've had before. Definitely not "gross" like others have said.“
“Got pho, banh mi, and veggie spring rolls. The pho and banh mi delivered. Only complaint with banh mi is that it wasn't served on a baguette, rather it was on a hoagie bun.The spring rolls were not our favorite. I felt like there wasn't much taste. And I had heartburn for a while and a fishy taste that lasted for a long time.“
“1st time trying out Pho Orchid on Airline Highway in Metairie, La. I was just getting over being sick and wanted hot soup. I’m always passing this restaurant and had wanted to try it.Lately my son and I have been trying new restaurants so we decided to stop in. He had combination Pho and a Winter Melon drink that taste and smell like they pour a lot of maple syrup into milk and coffee and I had beef pho, chicken banh mi, and a Lemonade club soda. I added sriracha to my pho to make it spicy and the lemonade was really good. The price was reasonable and the food was good, I’ll definitely be going back.Parking: Parking is just off Airline highway and has decent parkingKid-friendliness: No restrictions or bars“
“Stopped here for a quick dinner sandwich on our annual camping trip through the South. I highly recommend the Honey Sriracha Shrimp banh mi. My original review was from four years ago.>>Terrific grilled pork banh mi. Got it on my way to the airport, was soooo glad I didn't have to eat an overpriced sandwich from Sub---!“
“Stopped in for an early dinner with my family. I'd had takeout from Mint before, but this was my first time dining in. We were seated very quickly and our server wasn't far behind. It was pretty quiet at the time, but it may have just been before the rush. I'm usually a ride or die pho person when I get Vietnamese food, but this time the vermicelli bowl was calling my name. I got the beef saté and it was divine. The beef was spicy, the noodle were tender and chewy, the veggies were fresh and balanced the dish quite well. For those who aren't familiar, it's like a noodle salad with lettuce, pickled onions and carrots, and cucumbers. It also comes with peanuts, but sometimes I opt of out those. It's also served with a slightly sweet sauce/dressing (I think it's called nuoc cham, forgive me if the is incorrect). It's a great dish for lunch or dinner because it's filling, but not too heavy. The portion size is also large enough for you to get two servings out of it depending on how hungry you are. The decor is modern and chic with a nice bar that you can sit at and grab a drink. It's not a super large restaurant, but you could definitely come with a medium sized group and be comfy. The service was quick and our server was attentive and kind. I'll for sure be back.“
“One thing about Metairie is that we are blessed with multiple hidden gems for pho. Mardi Gras day, they were all closed which forced this pho craving family to find a new spot. Nudo was open and I swear it was a blessing in disguise! The spicy beef broth!! Omg it was so flavor packed and amazing! Unfortunately that was the only thing we tried. But we will be back!! The service was amazing and friendly. Strawberry smoothies was amazing as well! Nothing bad to say!“
“The ramen was on point! Quite possibly one of the better bowls of ramen ive had in the city, the broth was rich but not oily, on the lighter side of a pork broth. The shrimp rolls were good as well. Cant wait to go back and explore more of the menu.Vegetarian options: Many things can be made with tofu and they have a bunch of vegetarian offerings.“
“So, I'm on vacation here, tomorrow we fly back home, but tonight I felt like trying something. While walking near our hotel (LaQuinta), we stumbled on this little hole in the wall restaurant. Let me just say, this place is not something you want to miss! I got the lemongrass beef vermicelli, the shrimp spring rolls, and the thai tea boba! Everything I got is a delight for the senses! The beef is tender and flavorful, the boba tea was sweet and refreshing with plenty of tapioca pearls, the spring rolls were a bit heavy on the cilantro but otherwise delightful, and the portions are enough to leave you full for sure! Not to mention, the ambiance was immaculate as well. With the gorgeous decor, the soothing music, and the general charm of the place, it really felt like a welcoming and homelike atmosphere! Overall, if you're heading out of New Orleans by the airport, or if you're just someone around the area in general, do not miss this spot! You'll be in for a pleasant treat if you eat here!“
