About The Anchor

The Anchor is a riverside restaurant with a beautiful view of the Tchefuncte River. It is known for its great food and friendly service. This fast casual spot has a relaxing deck where guests can enjoy drinks like daiquiris while watching boats pass by. The atmosphere is especially lively during events like the Madisonville Mardi Gras boat parade, when the place gets busy but still offers attentive service. The restaurant has a kid-friendly area with a pirate ship play structure and a playground, making it a perfect place for families. The menu features pub fare, including the "kids" pizza, which has received high praise for its quality. Recent additions like BBQ ribs, brisket, and wings are smoked to perfection and come in large portions with delicious sides, including highly enjoyed sweet potato fries. The restaurant offers free private parking, and friendly servers help create a welcoming environment. Though prices are somewhat high, many guests feel it is worth it for the fun atmosphere, especially for children, while enjoying cold beers and tasty meals. The scenery, good food, and lively vibe make The Anchor a popular choice for both families and friends.

Food is good but I feel they are a little expensive.
We're from out of town but visited the anchor after a full day of boating. The playground on the side was perfect for the kids to run around while we took in the scenery. The drinks were cold and the fish was fresh. This is a great spot. Highly recommend
