“First hands down shortstop is #1 in po-boys i guarantee it beings that it's the longest place I've eaten my po-boys beings my grandparents lived i grew up 4809 Eagle st one block over I remember my mom and Dem sending me there to make groceries before they were a football shot they were a grocery store they did sandwiches in the back are on the side but then they went to all po-boys can't say I blame them best in the city and surrounding area they're good in quality quantity hospitality and service but let me just say this the people in there are sweet and kind is going to be and most respectful give them the utmost please and yes sometimes you'll catch one who may have a slight attitude but just know there's nothing towards you and it's nothing personal 2 minutes later they'll be the sweetest soul there is you got to understand that human too yeah but that's very rare short stop is apart of the city I don't know how my life would have been without them seriously there not just a restaurant they treat you like family especially if you are a regular and always come in there oh and I say this for me and most of everybody I know that goes there this is for the tourist and those who have never really been there you can not have a shortstop poor boy without a barques root beer I guarantee you and da family will pass a good time oh and yes I wanted to add it is a very family orientated and family environment again with all due respect is mind your manners and you will fall In love enjoy chef Mac“

I got the lg rib plate with the add on chicken wings and my husband got the 1/2 chicken and we shared to try it all and man when I say it was amazing it was amazing. The sweet potato casserole was so good. The green beans where just alright but the corn, macaroni and cheese and the baked beans were really and did I say really good. Thanks for not disappointing us we drove two hours to get there and will 100% be back sooner rather than later.“

The servers in bartenders were very kind. The hamburger was fantastic! We split a meal and they were kind enough to split it and put it on the plate for us and everything. Very few places are happy to split a meal. Great happy hours every day. Can't beat happy hour beer & wine prices.“

I finally decided on the tandoori platter, which was beautifully presented and bursting with flavor. Our server, Glorio, was attentive, friendly, and made the meal even more enjoyable. My friend ordered the chicken masala, and after tasting a bit of the sauce with some garlic naan, I can honestly say it was incredible. Everything from the service to the food was top-notch. “We live in Alabama and came to New Orleans for the weekend to see family. Hands down the best pizza we’ve ever had!!!! Super cheesy, not too greasy, cooked just right! Our waitress was so sweet and talked with our 4 year old, I wish I would have gotten her name, she left half way through us being there and the waiter that took over was just as sweet! I told him I need them to come open a store in lower Alabama and if not imma have to make the 4-5 hour drive once a month just for the pizza😂“

“I normally get half a muffaletta cut in quarters and save it for the flight back home the next day. They are incredible and I will keep doing this as long as I keep coming to New Orleans.
The place is small and it can get pretty loud, if you have someone with sense hearing (like me), remind them to bring earplugs.

“New Orleans is nortorius for not separating checks. I find this very inconvenient to the customer especially when you have party larger than two. Then it's very embarrassing to see customers passing the hat to pay for their portion of the meal with cash trying to figure out tax and tip. Everywhere I've been, there is no problem separating checks. I've been to New Orleans and requested separate checks and the waiters seem confused and then it becomes a huge delay. It's sad this restuarant has good food and atmosphere with this type of service and doesn't make it easy for customers to do business with them. They make easy for themselves but not for the customers. Go figure“

their nigiri sushis are quite large (2x the size of other sushi restaurants) so we eat them in two bites, which feels a bit weird. but their fish is usually very fresh, high quality, and there are so many options to choose from.
i especially recommend the yellowtail, japanese scallop, albacore tuna, and eel nigiri sushis. i also love their salmon skin roll (much simpler than their other rolls and very delicious). sometimes they get really good uni.
there’s no going wrong here, and they also have a large list of very inventive rolls and apps.“

Lately have not been impressed with many restaurants takeout/delivery food but this was great. Delivery drive was friendly and time punctual, food was delivered hot. Ordered a chicken avocado fiesta sandwich with a side Italian salad, cheese pizza and tiramisu. Everything that was ordered was great!“
