“We just ate Vincent’s in Metaire. It was amazing from start to finish. My wife and I along with my ten month old walked in on a busy Saturday nite. They were so happy to see us and I could tell they were super busy. We did not have a reservation and they found a way to seat us. Nate was at the table quickly. I was thankful because no doubt he was double sat and he was really happy to help us. We ordered five courses and the chef was at our table before the second course to make sure we were happy. The oysters Rockefeller and artichoke Vincent were perfectly flavored . Of course we had the signature crab and corn bisc in a bread bowl as well as the crawfish bisc . Both were fantastic. That bread bowl and bisc should be considered a must. If you haven’t experienced it I’m not sure I can consider your local. It’s amazing!The Italian salad is a perfect mix of olive heaven for any Italian looking for something that reminds him or her of Sunday dinner at your Nona’s house. The Osso Bucco is rich and a labor of love for the chef because it’s the best I’ve ever had. Demi gloss is almost as good as the veal but I’m splitting Angel hair even trying to pick what was better. Dessert menu was packed with classics and the tiramisu must have been made in heaven because the lady fingers and butter cream had me needing a bigger belt when I left. Nate our waiter sped up our courses so our infant wouldn’t get restless and took time to talk with us even though his section was obviously full. He laughed with us and found a way to let us know about the menu in every way with out ever interrupting our conversation. 5 stars for chef 5 stars for Vincent’s and 5 stars for Nate. Thanks for making us feel welcome even with our baby which was the cherry on top for me and my wife.“

“Was all set to give it a go checked web and it said open until 8 so we headed out discussing what we would order n all BUT we arrived at 220 and to our surprise they were booked for a private party so we rebounded to another spot it’s gonna take some time to convince my wife to return only asking if you all are gonna close to public for a party maybe you can post on website and let us know . “First hands down shortstop is #1 in po-boys i guarantee it beings that it's the longest place I've eaten my po-boys beings my grandparents lived i grew up 4809 Eagle st one block over I remember my mom and Dem sending me there to make groceries before they were a football shot they were a grocery store they did sandwiches in the back are on the side but then they went to all po-boys can't say I blame them best in the city and surrounding area they're good in quality quantity hospitality and service but let me just say this the people in there are sweet and kind is going to be and most respectful give them the utmost please and yes sometimes you'll catch one who may have a slight attitude but just know there's nothing towards you and it's nothing personal 2 minutes later they'll be the sweetest soul there is you got to understand that human too yeah but that's very rare short stop is apart of the city I don't know how my life would have been without them seriously there not just a restaurant they treat you like family especially if you are a regular and always come in there oh and I say this for me and most of everybody I know that goes there this is for the tourist and those who have never really been there you can not have a shortstop poor boy without a barques root beer I guarantee you and da family will pass a good time oh and yes I wanted to add it is a very family orientated and family environment again with all due respect is mind your manners and you will fall In love enjoy chef Mac“

I got the lg rib plate with the add on chicken wings and my husband got the 1/2 chicken and we shared to try it all and man when I say it was amazing it was amazing. The sweet potato casserole was so good. The green beans where just alright but the corn, macaroni and cheese and the baked beans were really and did I say really good. Thanks for not disappointing us we drove two hours to get there and will 100% be back sooner rather than later.“

“We were 17 ladies (widows) this were mentioned when reservations were made and to our delighted surprise we were greeted with leis on our chairs, special placemats and colorful lights. But more thoughtful was the framed greeting that mentioned that even though our plus ones were gone, we had friends that cared and sharing a dinner together. “How am I just finding out about this place? I went here on a weekday night and the first thing I noticed was the beautiful art on the walls. They also have some really unique chairs. This place is so cute.

We were greeted and seated immediately. Our server was friendly and attentive.

We tried a little bit of everything and man it was sooo good.

We got the lamb stuffed naan. Which was addictive. You can’t eat just one. We also got veggie samosas. They were pretty big and very tasty. That came with 2 unique and delicious sauces.

We got the lamb byriani. The lamb was so tender and the dish was really flavorful. We also got the tandoori platter. That was also delicious. It gave us the chance to try bunch of direct proteins with tandoori sauce. We also got the chutney which I highly recommend.

I had a mango lassi to drink. It was sweet and thick. It was really good.

“I normally get half a muffaletta cut in quarters and save it for the flight back home the next day. They are incredible and I will keep doing this as long as I keep coming to New Orleans.
The place is small and it can get pretty loud, if you have someone with sense hearing (like me), remind them to bring earplugs.

“Excellent service and truly one of the best gumbos our family has ever had! The owner is a very kind and welcoming man. We had a big weekend with a family wedding, and it meant a lot to have such delicious, consistent food during such a special time.

It was my mother’s first time attending a Portuguese wedding—since we’re Brazilian, it was a beautiful and meaningful cultural experience for her. Thank you for helping make this celebration even more memorable for our whole family, especially for my cousin and her husband. We really appreciate the warmth and the quality you bring. My cousin, who is like married to a A list celebrity and, I am blessed to work for her is a high up in our family flew us all in and this was a big weekend for all of us. The food was amazing thanks chef Ron we came all the way from Florida the consistency every single time is amazing food and service.

“The very first time I came to Sushi Village was in November of 2013. I was working on a movie in New Orleans. Several of the crew members took me to all you can eat sushi dinner.

The restaurant is located in a strip mall in Metairie, Louisiana. Upon entering we were greeted with a friendly gesture from the sushi chef. Being from Japan I appreciated that.

I've had amazing sushi all over the world. I was expecting decent but rather pleasantly surprised at the quality of the food. The fish tasted fresh and the rice was perfectly done.

I instantly became a huge fan. I'm not that far away in Florida. It's worth the few hours of driving to savor the delicacies. I'm spreading the word to all my friends here. See you soon.“

“New Orleans is nortorius for not separating checks. I find this very inconvenient to the customer especially when you have party larger than two. Then it's very embarrassing to see customers passing the hat to pay for their portion of the meal with cash trying to figure out tax and tip. Everywhere I've been, there is no problem separating checks. I've been to New Orleans and requested separate checks and the waiters seem confused and then it becomes a huge delay. It's sad this restuarant has good food and atmosphere with this type of service and doesn't make it easy for customers to do business with them. They make easy for themselves but not for the customers. Go figure“

“I will start with the seating, it was a terrible make-shift area where they happened to place a table right where everyone passes including patrons, servers, and ancillary staff. The draft was quite annoying. Secondly, we were so rushed by the staff that it made us uncomfortable. They completely stopped serving or refilling our drinks. They boxed our food mixing appetizers. Tuna with spicy shrimp and BBQ shrimp with crab cakes. The flavors are very different but mixing them made one overpower the other. We decided to order appetizers to go and asked to box them separately. Thirdly, we asked if we could hold onto the menu as we like to order entrees to go for the work week. Our server, as we were discussing options with him, grabbed the menu and walked away with it. We were shocked. Fourth, we hadn't decided if we wanted dessert at that point so we asked for the dessert menu. The waiter, Chase, stated that he could just tell us the desserts and starts rambling off the items then stand there as we had to make a decision. We both opted for the cheesecake because we felt rushed and weren't able to view the menu. This experience has turned me off, because of the amount of money we spend or have spent, on making reservations here ever again. We will be looking into other options for our date nights. Sidenote: on another occasion we had made reservations and as we were walking to the table he was told to take his epoch hat off and as we looked around later in the evening we noticed men with baseball caps and other various hats at the tables. Last night as well. So is there a dress code or is it random?“
