I lived in New Orleans for several years in the late 80's. I took my wife to Igor's last year for her first time, and it was the first time in 30+ years I'd been there. We had some beers, some Igor burgers and lots of great conversation.Other than some unavoidable technological advances that have been made over the past 30+ years, the place is just the same as it was in the 80's.I love Igor's and will never not go there on any trip I make to New Orleans.
It may be a hole-in-the wall dive bar, but they are open twenty-four hours, have fun friendly staff, great drinks, and fantastic burgers. I rolled in here really late and had a great time. That burger really hit the spot. Great little dive bar, affordable drinks and food, the staff are super friendly and easy to talk to! Although, one of the bartenders there has too many tentacles, way over the usual tentacle limit that most bars allow, it was fine I guess but that just may be something to keep an eye out for, or several eyes out for.
