“Amazing Amazing Amazing! From entry to exit!! We've actually stayed in the bed and breakfast upstairs before but never sat in the restaurant to eat. When I tell you we were impressed that would be an understatement. The owner was onsite...and working alongside her employees. The food...well, I'll stop at I asked the chef for his recipe to the bread pudding sauce (and I'm a baker)and presentation is EVERYTHING to me, they did not disappoint. Sarah, our server was so friendly...like a sister we'd just met. If I could 10 star this restaurant, I certainly would!
FYI the chef did NOT share that recipe, but I ate enough to figure it out...“

“Ran across Bayou Boudin a Cajun Meatery via Door Dash & Surprise!, They had Crawfish & Shrimp items that I could eat (as a Pescatarian)!! This order is from 10 days ago, the nicer PoBoy picks are from today.

Overall Decent to Good Food! & Very Reasonable Prices. Plus Unique Seafood Offerings NOT easily found elsewhere!

**** CRAWFISH PIE — 4 out of 10
I have a low spice tolerance, so keep that in mind. I found the Crawfish Pie a decent, regular sized (not small like Tiger PoBoy) - about Hand sized, sufficiently Flaky Crust with a bit of Spice. But, overall a bit “Meh”, can’t give a definitive reason, but I wasn’t impressed, but was Good Enough to Eat.
Q:WOULD I REORDER IT? Probably not

**** CRAWFISH BOUDIN POBOY - 6-7 out of 10
It is NOT “DRESSED” like normal PoBoys. It is simply crawfish Boudin on what I think is bread used for their Hot Dogs. It does seem small without all the Dressing, but it does a pretty good job of being filling. So, Crawfish, Breading, Cheese, maybe rice? The 1st time I got one it was wrapped in plastic wrap so the steam turned it more mushy than it should have been. Thankfully, that only happened once, all the other times it was wrapped without the plastic!
Q:WOULD I ORDER IT AGAIN?
A=YES! & I have a couple of times!
The Crawfish Boudin Links aren’t bad either!

**** Shrimp Boudin Link - 5 out of 10
Just a link by itself, Shrimp & Rice in a Case. Just a heads up - The Case is not Vegetarian. Has some Spice to it, I would give it a middle of the road 5 out of 10.
It looks very white, but don’t let the color put you off trying it.

Sadly, I did not check what I received until the following day, which is when I discovered they sent me PORK Boudin instead of CRAWFISH Boudin. Which doesn’t do a Pescatarian much good, as I can’t eat it. Thankfully there is someone in the household that can eat it so it isn’t totally going to waste. However, LESSON LEARNED - CHECK YOUR ORDRG IMMEDIATELY UPON RECEIPT! or Before You Leave!

**** BAYOU BROWNIE
According to price sticker left on the Brownie, the Door Dash price is more than double. This is just a brownie, a decent good brownie that satisfies One’s sweet craving.
Q: WOULD I ORDER IT AGAIN?
A = Yes! It hit the sweet spot.

This Boudin Vendor is located inside an Exxon Gas Station (yeah I caught snit for that twice from my family until they tried the food! *laughs*!) BUT, because of the Seafood offerings (aka food I could eat), I gave them a shot, and I don’t regret it! So, when I’m in the mood for something different, I’ll grab a Crawfish Boudin PoBoy from them.“

“The breakfast was very good Very busy short staff. The waitress in the breakfast area was very upset. She said she was too busy to wait on us. The team was leaving so we sat anyway. Took long for her to wait on us. But after, she was very nice.“

“So me and my girlfriend wanted to have a nice little date together, and she really enjoys Jambalaya. Coming here was perfect. The service was nice, I had accidentally gotten the wrong order and was fixed immediately and still got to keep what was initially given.
The pastalaya is really good, a decent amount of spice but delicious. And just the general sit down area was comfortable!
Definitely planning another date here again.“

“This is probably only my 6th time eating here, but I really wanted to take a minute to give this place some praise. Since they don’t have a comment/survey option, a (public) google review will suffice and perhaps help to bring more people to other door. I do hope this business finds great success as I believe it is well-deserved. I am beyond impressed with a fast food chain for “Louisiana” food that can actually produce really delicious versions of my down-home favorites. Although dining out (even fast food) is a bit out of my budget most of the time these days, I do find them to be reasonably priced. Additionally, the staff at my Hammond location has also been so very courteous and friendly every time. And, they really are FAST food, but it is real food, real beef, real fish, and shrimp and sausage, actual quality ingredients, not just processed mush shaped to pretend to be real food. So far, I’ve tried and can recommend their fried catfish, French fries, hush puppies, homemade onion rings, hot roast beef poboy, red beans and rice, and their gumbo. Each of these items could stand head to head with my other local eateries’ versions, but what is extra surprising is that they have pulled this off in a drive thru chain restaurant format. Kudos to the founders and kudos to your Hammond staff! Thanks for the yum!

Dietary restrictions: As much as I’m impressed with this place, since google asked, their dishes can be too salty for my very salt-sensitive (& medically restricted) father’s palette. However, I do not share that opinion.
Also, in case you’re not from Louisiana and reading this review, I generally don’t think of Louisiana food as being super friendly to dietary restrictions, but I haven’t reviewed this establishment’s menu options with this question in mind.

“Our first trip there. The food was delicious. I had fried catfish with fried rice. It was cooked perfectly. My sister had fried shrimp with sweet potato fries. Again cooked to perfection. Whitney was our server. She was so attentive. We wanted oysters, but they were out until later today. The have fresh shucked oyster's. We definitely will get them next trip. The owner Miss Sara came an talked to us about our experience. They all made us feel like we were important to them. Some places make you feel like a bother. Not here. The price for the amount of food was incredible too. Can't wait till next time. Thank y'all so much.“
