“You know when you come between lunch and dinner most buffets are not well kept. This one is not normal, everything is fresh.
Their recipes are a little different, which means they must make some of their sauces.
However, the one thing they do better than any buffet in a long time is the hot and sour soup... My favorite, and this one is probably the best tasting for 3 states.“

“Not much room to sit down.
Main entrees are delicious.
Didnt love fried rice, but edible, Ive had better. May try noodles next time.
Service was great and fast.

“China Town is the only place I go to for my vegetable fried rice. Let me tell you… they have THE BEST garlic sauce in town! When I began ordering from China Town, I had EVERYONE in my office ordering my exact order. We eat there at least 2 times a week. Service is swift. Food is great. They are kind. I will always go to China Town! : )“

“I love coming here. The family is so nice and the food is fantastic. The Lo Mein noodles are so chewy and delicious. My favorite Crab rangoon in the city. They sell Almond cookies now and they are good too. I always enough food for leftovers. (The Lo mein is delicious cold too.)“

“I had a great experience at this restaurant! The food was steaming hot, freshly made just for us. I really appreciated the family-friendly vibe, especially in such a busy area like LSU. Even with all the traffic, the relaxing dining space offered a nice change of pace. While seating is somewhat limited, there was still plenty of room to feel comfortable. The owners are truly wonderful people who genuinely care about their food and customers, just as much as they do about their family and business. I ordered the spicy shrimp with mixed vegetables and extra gravy, along with lo mein noodles and a non-pork egg roll. My business partner tried the sesame seed chicken with egg fried rice. “Fastest 5 stars I've ever given. They exceeded expectations by arriving 25 mins earlier than quoted. Unlike other restaurants that use third party drivers(who smoke in their cars) China Wok uses their own employees. They had everything I wanted, including the rare sweet and sour pork!! And.. look! I only ordered ONE, but they gave me 6!!

“Best Chinese food in the world. Everything is fresh and local. Fast friendly service. Good size portions. Another city and they'd be so busy you'd have to wait for a table. Another city and they could raise their prices. Whatever brought them here, I hope they stay here. “We like this place, easily in the top 3 of all Chinese food in Baton Rouge. We like the hot and spicy chicken (very spicy) Kung Pao chicken and Mongolian Beef (also spicy). Everything was a bit on the spicier side than expected but we love spicy here! so no complaint from me but just as a guide for others. I personally love it that a place actually makes the dishes that are supposed to be spicy actually spicy! At most other places even the dishes that are supposed to be spicy have zero heat to them, so I applaud this place!

The Beef and Broccoli is also great. Egg rolls and Crab Rangoon very good. Only thing we don't like is the teriyaki chicken it comes on a stick and was over cooked, it pretty tough but the crispy outside was nice and flavor good and the fried rice isnt the best I have ever had but most dishes have a sauce on the meat part and mixes well with the rice to make the rice so good! Staff are always very friendly and helpful, we will keep going here.“

“I have yet to find a Chinese takeout place to rival Chinese Kitchen. 100% without a doubt the BEST crab Rangoons I’ve ever had. Great lo mein and protein entrees too. The only thing I dislike is the fried rice, but they have so many other good things that I don’t even miss the rice. I graduated from LSU a couple years ago and still make the occasional 20+ minute commute to come here“

“I ordered food from Great Wall in Baker, LA, and the entire order was incorrect. I was also charged for eggs that I did not order, and I was told I should have a receipt. I specifically ordered Butterfly Shrimp, but I received something completely different.

This was my third time eating here, and unfortunately, it will be my last. I was very disappointed with the food, the accuracy of the order, and the overall service. In the future, I’ll choose to drive across town to Baton Rouge for a better experience.“

“Been going to this place since i was in middle school (im now 30 years old). The food has ALWAYS been great. Staff is super friendly. Food is super affordable. It is probably one of my top reccomended places on the Westside for a cheap place for food with good portions.“
