“Love this place. Food and service is GREAT!“

“The negative: Parking lot was small; had a difficult time getting my truck out after someone parked near me while I was dining. Was also there 5 to 10 minutes before I had the waitress’s attention. The positive: Food was absolutely outstanding. Roux was perfect. Remoulade was close to world class; I’ve had it in 5 star restaurants in Vegas that wasn’t this good. Kind of food you travel a bit to get to. I’ll put up with the negatives if that’s indicative of the rest of their menu.“

“The Criollo is consistently one of the best dishes in the city. I go here often and the food and service are excellent every time. The menu is thoroughly planned and well executed. I've never had a bad food experience. That said, I find the restaurant to be pretty cold and the seating uncomfortable for a long stay, but the food more than makes up for it.“

I’ve driven past this unassuming deli countless times, never giving it a second glance. But today, I decided to stop in around 8:45 AM, and let me tell you, it was a game-changer. The breakfast I ordered was not only delicious but also incredibly satisfying.

The price point is comparable to McDonald's, but the quality and portion sizes are on another level. I was thrilled to see they offer breakfast burritos and pancakes, which I’m definitely trying on my next visit. If you’re looking for a tasty, affordable breakfast spot, don’t sleep on this hidden gem!“

The oysters, black and blue tips & wine were so wonderful we returned after business the next night to try more. Round 2 included the Feta Whipped Brussels, Creole French dip & Duck + Butter beans. “This was my first trip to J. Alexander's, but it will not be my last. I ordered the red beans and rice as the soup of the day and was pleasantly surprised by the portion I received. I was expecting a small cup and received a sizable bowl. It was perfectly cooked and excellently seasoned. It had just th right amount of kick and the flavors blended perfectly. I had the Cypress Salad as my entree with grilled chicken. The salad greens were crisp. The chicken was flawless, as were the condiments. This meal paired very well with Yuzu Mule I ordered. I highly recommend that drink if you'd like a refreshing take on the traditional Moscow Mule.

The atmosphere is perfect for a date night, dinner with friends or in my case, a travel meal while on a business trip. I can't wait to try the one where I live to see if the experience and business are consistent.“

“All three of us ordered 8 oz filet. Excellent piece of meat at the prefect temp! Order came with salad, boiled red potatoes and biscuits, a little different than most steak houses. Only disappointment the Brussels Sprouts were very hard and basically unbeatable. Will definitely be back ( no Brussels Sprouts 😳) next time!“

“The food was amazing. We enjoyed the Sunday brunch menu which included the French onion soup, fried oyster salad and for entrees we ate the New Orleans Crab Cake Benedict and Short Rib Benedict. The manger was so gracious as to give me a small bottle of champagne to take home since all the desserts were made with chocolate and I am allergic. We will definitely be back for the dinner menu. Fantastic table side service, beautiful ambiance and excellent master chef food.“

“I've gotten breakfast and lunch here a few times and I enjoy their food.

Wish their hours were a bit longer (such as dinner hours) because I really enjoy the food but I'm happy to stop in for lunch every once in awhile.“

“We stayed at the hotel a couple of months ago when we dropped off our oldest at school. We decided to grab a late night bite and some drinks before going back to the room and let me tell you it didnt disapoint!!!! The red fish plate was delicious!! The bartender was very friendly and even made me a lavender drink bc I had told him I loved anything lavender. I have been craving the red fish ever since we came back to Dallas and want to go back to just for that specific plate. Everything was good the fish, mashed potatoes the only thing was the asparagus needed a little more seasoning but that was about it. I highly recommend this little place“
