I went down the bar to get some late night food To-Go, my bartender was super sweet and the restaurant luckily takes Apple Pay! I ordered a burger and fries and it was so good. I wish I got the bartender’s name, he’s an older Caucasian male, so nice you’ll have great service with him!“
“Bf has been raving about this place for years about the Shrimp Ducky. My First time and Came alway from Texas. The food was amazing. I am disappointed in the person at the hostess stand. She was a little rude and not hospitable. We had a togo order due to our dog in the car. We don’t know where to go to pick up the order and it left us wandering the restaurant.“
“Wooooo this place is GOOD. We had a date night (with our sleeping infant) while on a trip to NOLA. The staff was very accommodating of our baby, and welcomed us warmly. The food was fantastic. “I contracted with Ralph's for a rehersal dinner for 50 people. Julie was my contact and she is amazing. I am a planner by nature but she was totally awesome. She walked us through the menu and space and the night was magical. She is attentive to detail, organized, pleasant to work with, and thought of things I needed based on the guest list. An example, I had one child's dinner and she called to see if that child required a high chair. It was those little things that she caught that made the event a night to remember. The staff on duty that night were also A+. They were exrremely attentive to all our guests needs. We had guests from 7 different states from CA to AK and they were blown away by the balcony bar, the views, and the entire event. It made me so proud to put our southern hospitality on display. I highly recommend Julie and Ralphs for your party needs.“
“Had a wonderful dinner here the other night. For entrées, we had the wagyu steak and the Ossobuco lamb with a chimichurri sauce; both were absolutely delicious. For dessert, we had the banana split, which was also incredible. I would highly recommend this establishment if you are looking for quality food. My only negative would be that the room on the first floor is a little too tight with tables, but that aside, I will most definitely come back again.“
“We came here for happy hour (4-6) for half off all bottles of wine and half off the mussels and fries! Both were excellent and great portions! Our server Sara was super nice and helpful, she gave us a lot of recs and talked through all of the wines with us. “Came by here one night randomly for some drinks. Love the look of the place, has such a fun vibe. Enjoyed a few cocktails, an old fashioned, mai tai, and the prize fighter. As a home-tender, I appreciate a good cocktail done right. I will say they're a bit pricey so I recommend their happy hour. We were greeted immediately and seated, waiter was nice and attentive to us. Definitely a place I will revisit to try out more of their menu.“

I was a "Grits Convert" they said, as if it were a common experience from their point of view.Maybe it was just the first time I'd experienced Grits as anything better than bland and uninspired gruel. Or maybe the preparation here was exceptional. Whatever the case, the Shrimp and Grits was irresistible. I felt a shade guilty, as if anything this good must be illegal, even in a city with few such social limitations.Short version: The food was excellent and the service was genuine. “Had dinner here opening week and WOW the food is delicious, drinks were awesome, wait staff was on point, and atmosphere is so cool! We had the brisket debris fries for an app, really good!!. I got the blue crab soup (sooo much crab, get a cup of this as an appetizer, it's so good) and the outpost chopped salad (it's almost like a deconstructed muffulleta- I planned on saving half, but I ate the whole thing). Husband got the skirt steak, and he loved it so much that I'm pretty sure he's going to request it weekly. We both got the Twerk the French cocktail, and it's like a strawberry cloud. Can't wait to come back and get another one or two :) We fed my son before we left thinking the wait would be long, but only waited around 10 minutes with no reservation. My son got the chicken tenders and fries to munch on while we ate. Very kid friendly like Velvet Cactus, since my son was watching his Ipad and not disturbing anyone around us. I've lived in Lakeview since before Velvet Cactus opened, so we were at their opening week too, and we've been weekly regulars for 12 years. Definitely found a fun new spot by the same owners!“
“This was our second time coming here! The alligator and etouffee dogs were really yummy and unique! Better than any normal hot dog. The etouffee fries were a bit too liquidy, and they could’ve put more meat, but we still enjoyed the concept. It wasn’t worth the $7, but it’s definitely something worth trying once.“
“I was born on Jefferson Highway and after eating the amazing food here I can happily die of a food coma on Jefferson Highway. Portions were very surprising in their generosity. “I visited the location on Ponchatrain in Nola last night _ I will NEVER dine in late at night - The host was outside playing with the managers dog in the parking lot - She walked in the side door and greeted me picked up the menu and NEVER sanitized or washed her hands. The server complained about it being slow- My food came out cold- The manager on duty last didn't care- They put my side dishes in the microwave They served me the same cold chicken I sent back and just put it on the grill for a few minutes. Horrible customer service experience and the quality of the food was worse.“
“A great location to dine and wine at. Great waiters and waitresses that know how to treat customers, and are genuine. Lengthy wait for food, but the chefs make the wait WELL worth it. Food is absolutely delicious. Speaking of food, it has a wide variety to select from on the menu. Highly recommend eating here, and I will definitely be coming back!“
