“My second time here and the foods are still very good! We ordered the Thai-ger Shrimp and Carb Cake Maison to share, and both of them are nicely presented and delicious! The main, Champagne Shrimp, is a bit disappointing and not worth mention. However, the dessert, Apple Pie Nacho, is absolutely to die for!“

“Louisiana Lagniappe has never disappointed. The marinated crab claws that we had as an appetizer were very good. The broccoli and cheddar with crab soup was another one of the tasty soups that Lagniappe’s offers from time to time. Of course, if you have not had their seafood stuffed peppers then you are missing out. There is no skimping on the seafood. Every fish dish is mouth watering. The service is on point and the ambiance is just right. I always look forward to dinner here. This restaurant is a must try if you haven’t already done so.“

“3 yrs ago I had a lunch date here with the most amazing woman I had ever met! The food was so intoxicating that I was able to get to to agree to a 2nd date! 2 yrs later we came back and i proposed to her right outfront! This past labor day I married that amazing woman, and now we go back because it's part of our story! So thanks for the memories and helping us share the taste of true love!!!“

“I had dined here with my date. I had a seafood pasta. The shrimp were not properly deveined, there were a few shells, and it lacked flavor. The presentation was nice. The server was knowledgeable and made lots of eye contact. I would dine here again, but definitely would try something else.“

“Visiting from out of town and came to Roux 61 for the first time last night. I dined at the bar and the food and service was amazing. The bartender was very informative on the menu and tap selection. I see why there was a line out the door. I will definitely be back. Suggestion for those who don't want to wait to be seated, the bar area was a nice alternative with the same menu and quality food.“

“Great brunch and cocktail menu. I really enjoyed the seafood omelette. I would have liked more crabmeat on top of it. Next time I'll get a side of toast with the omelette. The black cherry old fashioned was outstanding. We'll definitely eat here “

“Food was Delicious… Rocket Shrimp was BOMB, garlic bread lacking tho, I see the garlic but the taste aint’ tasting!! You can like just give me a regular roll/slice of bread if that’s the offer!!! Corn & Crab bisque wonderful! House salad… greaaaat, hubby said he’ll drink that ranch dressing!Even the coke was BOMB…Seafood platter is overpriced for a BED OF WAFFLE FRIES, WITH 4 PIECES OF FISH NUGGETS… the shrimp amount was good and the oysters but the fish was unreal. I feel totally ripped off but… the taste was great, wouldn’t re-order only due to it being pricey. Also, the menu price says $25.95 but my ticket was $27.95 so that’s ya tip and because the service lacked attentiveness. I see that their speed of service is great but was not with our waiter. He forgot our drinks, our food took long and the other waiter guests food came out before ours. Maybe it was just our waiter. Willing to try again, because the food is good and other waiters performance is at a 5 star level to me.Hope this helps and that owner appreciates this honest advice. I see even greater potential for this company and them expanding. God bless this business!OH forgot one more thing, sweet potato casserole so good!“

“This was our first return to Sammy's since WSC took over. The restaurant wasn't overly crowded, we were seated quickly, and the table was clean. Our only complaint was the noise level was high due to some 3- year old seated nearby. There are all hard surfaces, so every noise carries...We ordered the boudin egg roll appetizer two-step with catfish and shrimp, the catfish acadian, and the oyster poboy. The two step and the oyster poboy were excellent. The catfish acadian could have benefited from having more crawfish in the etouffee (there were not many). The most disappointing part of the meal was the salads. The blue cheese dressing was eatery and tasteless -- making the salad bland. In all the meal was good. It could have been better..return visit 072923- catfish Acadiana good but for some reason not as much catfish as in catfish and white beans... why?“
“We have been here many times, and not once have we been disappointed. The service is great! The food is good also. There are a variety of items available on the menu. This is one of my favorite places to go out and eat crawfish when it's in season.“
“Had ground steak and mashed potatoes. The serving was plentiful. Gave it 4 stars because the food could've used more seasoning and it was a bit cold. Also, the coconut pie was a little lackluster. Good local spot though for homemade food.“

“We are here out of town working and had this place recommended by a friend. Needless to say it has not disappointed me in the least. In here for roughly a month and we have visited roughly 75% of every lunch break. I highly recommend people come here and try every poboy on the menu!“

“Quick spot to run in for a decent meal if you do not want fast food. The service was fast and good and the food was to my liking. Ate it all the way back to texas I had the jambalaya with white beans and a order of crawfish meat pies. Don't hesitate to stop go in and give it a try.“
“If you're in the neighborhood or staying overnight or just taking a tour of Nottoway, the largest antebellum plantation house in the South, be sure to make time for breakfast, lunch or dinner at the Mansion Restaurant at Nottoway. Resident chef Johnny "Jambalaya" Percle has assembled a classic Louisiana cuisine inspired by old Creole recipes. Located at 31025 Highway 1 in White Castle, Louisiana, overlooking the Mississippi River, Nottoway offers an experience you don't want to pass up. Enjoy a meal in a beautifully restored turn-of-the-century dining room with stunning views of century-old oak trees. There are 16 majestic oaks spread across the 31-acre property, the oldest estimated to be 162 years old, the same age as the mansion. Weather permitting, outdoor dining also is available on the curved second floor balcony of the Rotunda, which offers a sweeping view of Nottoway's beautiful grounds. For breakfast, browse the buffet for assorted breads, cold cereal, yogurt, fresh fruit, scrambled eggs, homestyle grits, hash browns, bacon, sausage, pancakes, waffles and buttermilk biscuits. For lunch, my wife and I started with chicken and sausage gumbo and grilled chicken salad with mixed greens, grape tomatoes, black olives, feta cheese, tortilla chips and balsamic vinaigrette. For a main course, my wife chose a Reuben sandwich with hot corned beef, sauerkraut, Swiss cheese and 1,000 Island dressing grilled on marble rye. I opted for BBQ shrimp and grits with Louisiana jumbo Gulf shrimp, stone ground grits, andouille sausage and BBQ butter. If we had been able to stay for dinner, we would have started with ordered chicken and sausage gumbo, Creole turtle soup, Caesar salad with romaine lettuce, parmesan cheese, croutons and creamy Caesar dressing, a bone-in ribeye with herb roasted fingerling potatoes and creamed spinach, Colorado roast rack of lamb served with dijon and oregano sauce, Yukon Gold mashed potatoes and fresh broccoli, Miss Sharon's house-made white chocolate bread pudding topped with creme anglaise and caramel sauce and classic creme brulee with French vanilla custard topped with caramelized sugar and garnished with fresh berries. Certainly a restaurant worthy of such a magnificent tourist attraction.“

“I’ve purchased crawfish from here twice within the past 3 weeks, and on the strength their website states they will be open on tomorrow {Sunday}, I plan on stepping across some soil and heading up La.30 to scoop up another 5-6 Pounds ;) . First and foremost, the customer service @ the drive thru window is amazing….they are so friendly and welcoming. If any, there is little to none in wait time…don’t even have time to shift your gear into PARK. The crawfish will still be FRESH & piping Hot(heat) by the time you get to your destination.. Only 1 Warning: They will be extremely JUICY!! Expect to have plenty of juice from your crawfish in the bottom of your bag ? The BEST Crawfish I have EVER HAD in my LIFE!!“
