“Visited from out of town. It was close to my AirBnB. I tried the fried rice combo which came with ham, shrimp, & chicken fried rice with a protein side. I chose fried pork chops. The chops were just mildly seasoned & not fried crispy enough but was a good quality pork chop. The rice was decent. I will return to try more options. An extra starFriendly service.“

“The food was excellent, homestyle cooking. The staff are very friendly, accommodating, interacted well with customers, and they provided excellent service, everytime I visited the restaurant. It is very family welcoming. The place is very clean. Can complete with any restaurant all round.

“My husband and I have recently moved to the Westbank so we were looking for the best crawfish spot close by, and we found it at J’s Bayou Seafood. Turkey necks are good as well, and the staff is super friendly!! We go almost every weekend now“

“I had been fishing around Venice LA and stopped by Captian Larry's on the way back to Minnesota. I ordered a Shrimp Poboy sandwich, it was excellent. The staff was professional, fun and helpful. I would definitely stop again.“

“We went to Da Parish Snack & Snowballs for opening day and the buy get one free special. Service was quick, polite, and friendly. I love snowballs and have always gone to the one closer to my house that I've gone to since I was a child but after our visit today, we will drive a little further to come here! The chocolate was delicious and the cheesecake flavor was amazing! I was also surprised at how generous the sizes are, we bought mediums and they were quite big. They were also very generous with the syrup which we loved since dry snowballs aren't as good. My kids love that they also have snack food and candy. Having a baby, it's also convenient that they have a drive thru! We will def. be back!“

“I'm gonna have to go back for lunch but the breakfast was wonderful! I was bringing my daughter with me to work and instead of fast food, we rode past this place and thought to check it out. I'm so glad I did. I ordered the grits with cheese, scrambled eggs and breakfast sausage. One for my size and one for my daughter. It filled us both up. Definitely gonna go back and try the lunch.“

“I don't ever make reviews, but these people were dope af. I came to Louisiana to escape the hurricane in Florida, and I'm high-key thinking of staying here to have this food regularly. Them hot honey wings and the red dragon wings was bomb, their egg rolls were crispy af, and we got a pound of shrimp that was well seasoned. Also, the cooks and the cashier were all cool to talk to. Love these guys, and we're gonna hit them up again before we head back home.“

“I started to call this place a "best kept secret", but I'm not sure how much of a secret it can be with 2 or 3 customers inside this small store seemingly at ALL TIMES. An employee at nearby OPSB told me their gumbo was great - I went once and now I go back almost every time I'm on the west bank. it's an unassuming small shop that sells eveything from seafood (whole crab, crawfish, fish plates, etc) to random cash register fodder. Dont be distracted though- get the gumbo.“

“This restaurant is a must stop EVERY time I’m in town visiting family. My Lawd I always get the shrimp sandwich on bun but I got the hot sausage patties po-boy as well this time. Also grabbed a pound of shrimp and a pound of crawfish. I know I was being big eyed because I was hungry but I didn’t regret it because everything was good, per usual. My mom tasted the crawfish and looovvveeed the favor. I got the regular spice level and she said it was just right, not too spicy. 10 out of 10 definitely recommend.“

Steven customer service is top-tier! From the moment we walked into Saint Manchu the vibe was welcoming and full of good energy. I’ve never seen an owner do it all—Steven was running the register, cooking the food, and still taking time to greet and engage with every customer. That kind of dedication is rare.
And let’s talk about the food—the gumbo was a 10 out of 10! Rich, flavorful, and made with love. You can taste the soul in every bite. If you’re anywhere near New Orleans East, do yourself a favor and stop by Saint Manchus. Highly recommended!“

“I like love it because of its simplicity, awesome food, and service. The waiting staff don't bother, you get your food almost immediately (fresh and fast) and if you choose to eat their the booths are very secluded so you and a friend, co worker, date etc can eat undisturbed (my favorite part). “I love the breaded, bbq wings over here! The wait time is never too long, and the service is always nice.I rated the atmosphere as a 1 out of 5 mainly because it is drive thru only. You place your order then park, and eventually your order will be brought out to you. Again, I’ve never experienced a long wait time!“
