I enjoyed Oriental Gourmet with its simple atmosphere, friendly service, and most importantly—their delicious food. Better than any Chinese food I had in Chinatown, down a quiet little road (at least at 6:30pm). Dined in. Plus the Oolong Tea was the best tea I have had in ages at a Chinese restaurant!“

This is a take out spot only and food usually doesn’t take long (15-20mins).“

“I called this place reluctantly late last night because it was my only real option at 9:30 pm (they close by 10)….i had tried it years ago and didn’t think it was very good. Well, last night they proved themselves lol! I ordered house fried rice and bone in spare ribs. Not only did they serve me with a smile and seem happy to be there still, I’m sure it had been a long day..the food was piping hot and so fresh! I was definitely expecting less ten minutes prior to closing! The rice had a little of everything and was so good! The pork pieces weren’t all fatty trimmings like most places. This was actual chunks of pork with very little to no fat. Little shrimps and chicken…so so good. I couldn’t stop eating it. The ribs were cooked to perfection, meaty, and so tasty I was licking my fingers and the bones haha! Best ribs I’ve had anywhere! The price was good too! I will definitely be back!“

“Straight to the point comfort Chinese food at its best. We had take out trays for a party and we non stopped munched on each dish non stop for the duration of the celebration. We had pork fried rice which was addicting, the sweet and sour chicken and chicken fingers were on point on flavor and crispy! “Growing up in Brockton this was the go to place..the serving can feed 2-3 at times and the service is quick..But over the years they have became super rude especially on the phone is the worst..the short guy is beyond ignorant and the building has got worst…rate the food 8/10“

“South Garden is a Chinese restaurant located right outside the heart of Quincy Center serving traditional South Chinese and Cantonese dishes for lunch and dinner.

The staff are friendly, definitely helps to know Cantonese but they can communicate well in English as well.

As for the food, its alright. The quality is pretty much the same as other restaurants, though the beef satay chow fun wasn't as good as other places i've tried. Very good spot to get traditional Cantonese dishes like fried squid or fried porkchops for a reasonable price and reasonable quality.“
