“Everything I’ve had from here is great. The crab rangoons are the best in the area and they have awesome mai tais. The only thing I have disliked are the dumplings isn’t he wonton soup. The noodles are too thick and there’s barely any filling in them.“

“This restaurant is one of our favorites in New Bedford. We have ordered from here for a few years now and they get better every time. Whenever we call they already know our address and deliver so quickly. Their sushi is to die for. We never leave disappointed.“

“I think we found our new chinese food goto after a few more take out orders to make sure they are consistent.. I live a town away and we usually go to the restaurant a few blocks away. It was a real hit and miss place. Always different. very undependable. We ordered from Ying's Chicken fingers. Hot, crispy, and delicious, Crab Rangoon delicious and I actually could taste crab. The boneless spareribs were perfect not overcooked juicey and tender and not dosed in food coloring. I think on the whole it tasted a lot more natural and fresh. Crossing my fingers they also cook like this“

“Right when you walk in you're greeted. Calm atmosphere. I didn't know what to order but everyone was patient. I ordered Gen. Tso chicken, crab rangoon, garlic scallops. Really good sauce on the Gen Tso chicken. Scallops cooked just right with a good amount of vegetables and sauce. You get plenty of food. Two other people ordered ahead of me and the chef and service was so quick I got my food right after. Not a long wait at all on a Friday evening. I would recommend for anyone looking for old school Chinese food spot. This was my first time there and I plan on making this my regular spot.Vegetarian options: There is a section on the menu, but I'm pretty sure if you wanted only vegetables they can make a dish with only vegetables as everything is made to order.Parking: Parking lot is shared with the liquor store next door. The parking lot is huge and you shouldn't have trouble finding parking.“

“Pretty nice restaurant off the start, looking from the exterior it does not look like it is popular, but once we got inside, the place was absolutely packed. I am pretty sure they would get more customers but the place is super small, only 15 booths. When we entered the restaurant it didn't really take us a long time to be seated, about 2 minutes. It did take a very long time to be served just to get our drinks though, probably like 10 minutes just to be greeted, but I am not impatient, so I did not really care about that, knowing that they have only 2 servers working it since it is a pretty small restaurant. Once the waitress came, she apologized for the wait, which was very nice of her. She was also extremely nice when serving us, very polite lady. I ordered a number 26, General Tso Chicken with fried rice and crab Rangoons, with water, my fellows got some tea, due to yelp saying that the tea was very good. We also got a side order of crab Rangoons as well. The drinks did come relatively fast, and the side order did come fast as well. The crab Rangoons were pretty good, but not better than other Chinese restaurants I have been to. Very sweet, good crunch, and very hot, which I like. They also came with duck sauce, which was nice. The entrees came very fast as well, they also gave us some broccoli as well. The chicken was very crispy, very wonderful soft fried rice, and very crispy crab Rangoons. Very great service, very great food, and a very good space. This place seems to be a 4 star! I strongly recommend!“

“I see that SG gets ratings ranging from being quite lambasted to people lovin' it. I can dig the dichotomy. Let's peep this out, aye? The decor is pretty minimal. Some cool Oriental stuff at the entrance and the bar is fairly pimped out but the rest is plain-jane stuff. It's OK but lacks the old-school red-leather booth and gold-dragon vibe. The menu is wicked extensive for such a no-frills place. All sorts of subgums and stuff. Kung Pao is called Gung Pao here -must be a regional thing? We ordered a Toyko Blaster and a Mai Tai. The Blaster was phun and had garnish but the Mai Tai didn't have no garnish. No frills, remember? The drinks were tasty and fairly strong -especially the Tai. Moey ordered the Lunch Special which was Wings, Goons, PFR and Teriyaki Beef Stix. Admittedly the PFR was "the usual" old and cold. The Wings were teenie AF. The Goons were decent and were quite yellow due to coloring to make them Festivus looking. The TBS were OK -probably a "meh" rating. I got the Bird's Nest which was scrump AF and wicked copious. Lots of Beef and Chicken and "Chinese Veggies" as described on the menu including Pennsylvania Mushrooms. The nest was a Taro Root nest which did look like a bird nest and was interesting visually and phun to eat. All was slathered in a Yum-Yum Brown Boom-Boom/Yo-Yo type sauce. Additionally, my One was quite hangry and ordered up more food similar to her first order. The food arrived and it was similar to her previous order but with Fried Shrimp. She ate it. We figured it's the holidays, so we got two more drinks. Moey got another Mai Tai -this time she asked for garnish, and I got an Alabama Slammer (a very ancient and traditional Chinese drink dating far back to the Rang-Tang Dynasty) and it was served in a tiki mug with garnish. Prices are quite reasonable here -like as little as 7.50 a drink. I would say some things are good here and other things not so much. The waitress was absolutely wonderful and was multi-tasking wicked big time. I do wish the PFR was freshly made or at least conscientiously reheated. This very much adds a bummer element to an otherwise pretty good place. This is more than a mere peccadillo. This heinous offensive has been ubiquitous in many Chinese places dating way back to caveman times. It's no bueno. PS -I find it interesting that Portuguese influence has infused itself all the way into Oriental places in this area as they proudly featured Linguica Fried Rice and other Chinese dishes containing this atypical ingredient. Alrighty then...“

“This is probably the one local Chinese place that has a history you need to know before diving into reviews. If all you want to know is, "is the food delicious?", the answer is yes. No need to read further, order here. This hole in the wall place used to be owned by a very family oriented owner and staff who were exceptionally charming to be around. They were extremely pleasant, remembering people who were regulars' orders just by hearing your voice on the phone. When the ownership changed, you'll start to see a shift in the reviews. The old timers like me start becoming negative while people who didn't realize the change never complain. I genuinely believe that this is because the change removed that intimate friendliness the old owners had. That doesn't mean these new owners can't build rapport with us locals, but the old owners had been established as favorites, them being gone hurts a lot of us and I think that's where a lot of negativity comes from. The food is great. They updated the menu as well and now we're starting to see more traditional Chinese dishes appearing like Sesame Cold Noodles (Chinese owners! We WANT to try real Chinese food! Please translate your secret menus!!)What's more this is still the ONLY Chinese place that understands what I mean when I say, "extra spicy please".Give these guys a chance. They're not the old owners, and that's ok. They can be our "new" old favorite place. They just need a little more time to work their way into the hearts of the old time locals.“

“I have to say, it had been some time since I had had food from there. Had a few bad orders awhile back (years) and was not happy. I stopped going there for food. Decided to try it again, I'm honestly glad I did. The portions vs price are good, the food was fantastic and all around very happy with my last 3 orders! I'm glad they corrected the problem and are now putting out great service and greater food!“

“The food I've gotten here has been routinely filling and tasty. Always takeout, order has always been right.Plenty of comments here about the counter workers. It's a family business and I feel it may just be a cultural thing. They are efficient and I've never felt like anyone was trying to be intentionally rude or malicious.“

“Rated 4 stars in service because it’s difficult sometimes to get a hold of them to place an order by phone. Rated 1 star in atmosphere because personally it’s just not my type. The pros is that the food has never disappointed me since i get the mofongo(fried green mashed plantains) with fried meat. The other image is mofongo with pollo al ajillo (garlic flavored chicken) and to me it needs more garlic. The fried meat is always fresh and delicious!!! Any wait you’ll have to wait on the food; trust me you won’t be disappointed and it’s worth every penny . I’ve also had their virgen piña colada and it’s exactly how they make it in Puerto Rico; it’s delicious!!!“

“The hostess was warm and welcoming. We were promptly seated and enjoyed the atmosphere. We enjoyed our appetizers (crab Rangoon and fried wonton) while waiting for our main courses. I ordered the Happy Family, and I was not disappointed. The meat and vegetables were delicious, and the tea was perfect. Will definitely come back.“
