“I've been stopping in here for years since I live near by. I had to write a review tonight because my experience was above and beyond prior experiences! The food was delicious, the assorted veggies were not mushy, they were nice and crisp and there was a good amount of chicken! Also, the woman who cashed me out was very nice and pleasant! Just felt like they should know that a regular notices a change for the better!“

“The food was wonderful and customer service was top notch! I ordered pickup and my order was placed into reinforced bags, the food was sealed to avoid spilling, and they even put cardboard at the bottom of the back for stability. Now, this seems like something that should be standard, but it is not or rather, it is no longer a standard. The food was clean and not greasy, just overall a wonderful experience! I ordered Beef Chow Mei Fun, which is beef with rice noodles and vegetables in a soy-based sauce. If you haven’t tried Mei Fun, it’s wonderful! I will definitely be back, thank you!

“I have had take-out orders many times for many years and am always very happy with the quality of the cooking. Once, I had the best roast pork egg foo young that I've ever had in my life from this establishment. I highly recommend China Star II imn Middletown, RI.“

The food was great. I give it 5 stars
Its not so salty like standard Chinese food. Always leaves my mouth feel like I've been open mouth swimming in the ocean, and bloated like a beached whale.

“The 3.6 stars for this place is deceiving. If you want a ton of Chinese food, for a reasonable price, in a no-frills, non-fussy restaurant - this place is perfect. I’m something of a General Tso’s w/white rice connoisseur….and theirs knocks it out of the park every time!“

“Vickie has been a mainstay for over 10 years. When I stay in the area this is my go to spot. The food is made fresh, portions last me 2 days, and it is very tasty. In NYC there is a lot of good Chinese food and Vickie's is up there with the best! Remember to bring cash.“

“I have ordered from China Gourmet for many, many years, as long as they have had a restaurant there, Hands down they are the best Chinese restaurant that I have ever gotten food from. The food is delicious and they have never confused an order. I always get an order when we have company and everyone else is also extremely pleased! The owners are friendly and just as lovely as they can be!!“

Food is prepared fresh and in a timely manner.
I watched the owner make Won-Ton Egg Drop soup in front of me from scratch with fresh ingredients.
Menu is diverse and they deliver.

“We ate there for lunch on 12/15/2024. The food was excellent-we had calamari and four different rolls. The server was excellent, attentive, and professional. We highly recommend.“

“Standard Chinese food that hits the spot for takeout. The crab rangoon is a must-try and the General Tso's is a good choice. The fried rice and wonton soup were average.
There isn't really any space to sit and eat as the tables are covered in kitchen supplies, and various materials from the workers, so plan to take your meal to go!“

“I ordered lobster sauce it was a different kind it had vegetables in it I never had that kind before not what I expected I drove all the way home after two stops to see some vegetables floating in my lobster sauce like what was that so sad I was so hungry too but they have good food here generally appetizers are great“
