“We drive 45 minutes to & from to eat at the Clam Box. My husband grew up down the street and I worked in town for 15 years. Plus my parents would take me there as a kid. ALWAYS consistent! ALWAYS delicious. 10 out of 10! Worth the wait in line at peak season every time!“

“I have been here several times over the years. I love their fisherman's platter as it has a little of everything. I think my favorite is a toss up between the clams and the scallops. I love their tarter sauce and the plates come with fries or onion rings which are delicious themselves. Nothing better than to take a road on the back roads of Massachusetts and stop in for a plate. The portions are huge and now that I am getting older - I end up having to share. Side note - Woodmans was featured in the Adam Sandler film Grownups - released in 2010. There is also a small ice cream shop in the back which has some great flavors in case you're still hungry afterwards.“

“I used this place for lunch on a weekday. My husband and I enjoyed raw oysters, pizza, and tacos. We tried three different kinds of raw oysters, and all of them were fresh, flavorful, and excellent.

There was a mistake with the bill, but when we asked them to check it, the staff responded right away, so I rated the service a 5.

Being able to enjoy delicious food while looking out at the ocean made it a great memory. I think the atmosphere would feel different again in the evening or at night.“

“I had lunch with friends here yesterday and everything was great but I have to mention that our server, Russell, was hands done, one of the best servers I have ever had. He gave us plenty of time to catch up with each other with cocktails (about an hour!), He paid for a round of drinks because we wanted to order from the brunch menu but missed it because we talked for so long. He said it was his fault for not reminding us! Unheard of! He let us have a leisurely 3 hour lunch, with no pressure at all, and was very attentive when we needed him. He even sent over a delicious birthday dessert without even being asked! Russell is The Best!!“

“We went to dinner and decided 7.00 Lobster Quesadilla for an appetizer, they were very good. We had.Baked Haddock Sauteed zucchini with roasted potatoes. It a classic, our favorite entree. We had New York Cheesecake drizzled with Caramel Sauce. Outstanding Mona was our server, she friendly, helpful and attentive. “My girls and I attempted to eat at the Salem retreat on our first morning of our trip. We waited 20 minutes for a table after watching 7-10 people be seat AFTER we were given a buzzer to wait. We left and came to Dotty & Rays. We got a table as soon as we walked in, had water brought over immediately, drink and food orders promptly taken. The food was fantastic. We had one part of our order missing and once they realized the issue, it was remedied with speed and courtesy. Everyone was very friendly and renewed our experience in Salem. We enjoyed it some much we came back this morning. This is the place to come to a good meal and pleasant experience to start your day. Come to Dotty and Rays!“

“Been going here since the late 70’s. One of the best roast beef seafood restaurants on the north shore. I moved from Peabody to Florida in 2018 and wish we had a roast beef seafood place that was even half as good. I still visit Peabody once a year and this is always on my list of places to go. Food is still great. Yes it may not be the cheapest but you get what you pay for and I think they are fair, everywhere prices have increased, I would rather pay a little more and keep the quality. Love this place.“

“When I popped into Mike's for a quick roast beef, I wasn't expecting anything special. I eat a lot of roast beefs and have high standards. I have to say, Mike's impressed me. The beef was massive, perfectly cooked, and the sauce was somehow better than it normally is. I highly recommend everyone who likes roast beef give Mike's a shot.“

Reservations highly encouraged, but our timing worked out perfectly and we got two seats at the bar!
