“We worked with Montilio's for our wedding cake and we couldn't be happier with the results. We loved the tasting sessions and there were multiple cakes we were debating about for our wedding day. We ended up choosing the JFK Presidential Cake and we were so happy with how it turned out and our guests loved it.“

“Cake order review only: easy to inquire about a cake online. Easy payment once we discussed the vision of the cake. And easy pickup. BEAUTIFUL CAKE. The cake was $90 for a heart shaped 2 layer cake with vintage piping, vegan vanilla with vegan vanilla buttercream and strawberry jam filling. I didn’t get the filling but was refunded immediately and the person handling the situation was so nice. I had asked why the darker icing tasted to chemically and they informed that the more they use the dye the more it tastes like it. So I would just skip that completely. Get the lighter frostings. Because like I said these are beautiful cakes and the cake itself is a good texture and flavor as a vegan cake.“

“This place has strong sentimental value for me. We got our wedding cake here and they don’t ( or didn’t at the time ) make wedding cakes. We were young and poor and they made us three cakes which we put on platters to make into a wedding cake. We had so much left over we were eating it until Thanksgiving (got married at the end of August). We had no money and were eating pancakes, kraft Mac and cheese, chicken loaf sandwiches, chicken pucks and ramen to survive. But our freezer was filled with the leftover cake and I just loved it.
Circle back 30 some odd years later and my wife and I are walking through Chinatown and we come across this place again (we had moved away from the area after we got married). We go inside, the cake is not on the menu, but we tell them what we want (peach cake) and they make it for us right there. We bring it home and eat it the whole cake in one sitting.
Now whenever we are in Chinatown, we stop here before we go home and they make the cake for us ( though we don’t eat the whole thing in one sitting anymore).❤️“

“First time visiting Levain Bakery in Seaport Boston, and honestly. It felt like a miracle. It was 21:00 and I needed warm, soft cookies 🍪

The service from Cole H was outstanding: no pushing, no rushing, just genuinely friendly and welcoming. The warm, gooey cookies made me so happy.

I enjoyed it so much that I had to write a review as soon as I got back to my hotel.

Please provide more assistance to front personal on days that are most busy so they do not take out frustrations on customers. “Party Favors is a Brookline landmark and has been a go-to place for cakes for my family since I was a child. I just ordered a cake for my mother’s birthday from them and the online ordering process could not have been easier. The cake came out perfectly, was available at the pick up time requested and was customized for our needs. Prices are very fair and the cakes are delicious- my mother received another cake that was 3 times the price and she preferred the Party Favors cake. Highly recommended.“

First with my grandmother as a child, whenever she was in a rage against American food, she would make my grandpa drive an hour in Boston traffic just to grab some buns. But Emily, the manager, and her father John, the owner, did something I truly didn't expect — they made it work anyway. They went out of their way to make sure we still got everything we needed, and on Easter Sunday of all days. That kind of customer care is rare. It would have been so easy for them to simply say "sorry, we're closed" — but instead they showed up for us in a way we won't forget. And the food? Absolutely delicious. Our pies were fresh and perfectly made, and the carrot birthday cake — a special request from the birthday boy himself — was absolutely stunning. Bagels are good--crusty and chewy. Ordered 2 Everything with Classic Lox, 1 sesame with plain schmear, and 1 sesame with egg and cheese, to go. Everything bagels were good, but the seasoning had a bit too much salt. Sesame with schmear was fine. But the sesame with egg and cheese was MISSING FROM MY ORDER. I didn't discover it until I got home. Too far to go back, so I just got ripped off 😡 Otherwise, they were good. Check your order before leaving!“
