“We came in right before closing time, totally expecting the usual late night glare, but the staff was so nice.

They did not rush us at all and were super friendly the whole time. Everything still tasted really fresh, the portions were great, and half my pita chips did not even survive the drive home. 😬

Huge thanks to the night crew for taking such good care of me and my husband when we needed a quick dinner. Will definitely be back!!!!!!“

“First visit today, although we live somewhat in the neighborhood and I am already kicking myself for not having got here sooner. Red tabbouleh spicing was very punchy and vivid. Allspice in the stuffed grape leaves make them worth coming back for, not something I think I've ever said about stuffed grape leaves before. Most unforgettable was the red lentil soup with its soft rich velvety texture over two or three layers of different delicious flavors. Great first impression, can't wait to go back, solid A leaning toward A+.“

“Lots of thoughts on this one… and, some mixed feelings too. Classic escargots without the shell? Well, unexpected, to say the least. Certainly felt like we were missing out on the experience here. The blueberry tart was really a pie, in both appearance and design. A slightly confusing identity crisis on the plate, I would say. 😳

On the cocktail front, we liked Golden Hour, the peach cocktail from their new summer cocktail menu. Very peachy, very nice! Clouseau… not so much. Watered-down was the word that came to mind right away.

In all, the food was great, the conversation was even better, and the evening was a success! And yet, my search for a French restaurant in the Boston area that can top this one continues... Do you know one? I’m all ears 😉“

“To Dine For created platters for an event we had in the area for 80 people. They were absolutely wonderful to work with as we figured out the menu, presentation, etc. The platters they created were so beautiful and the food was fantastic. It was all delicious but the beet hummus was especially delightful and the spanikopita is the best I've ever had! Highly recommend not only for lunch but for catering.“

“Just ate at Ali baba and wow, it was awesome! The place has a really chill vibe and smells amazing as soon as you walk in.

We started with some French fries and pita – super tasty and fresh. The falafel was crispy and not dry at all. The chicken kebabs were on point, juicy and full of flavor.

For dessert, we had baklava, and it was the perfect way to end the meal. Sweet and flaky, just how I like it.

Service was friendly and quick, which is always a plus. Definitely planning to go back soon to try more stuff on the menu. Highly recommend if you're into Mediterranean food!“

“I’m a native New Yorker with my share of Mediterranean meals under my belt. I visited Za’tar when we stopped in to pick up takeout.

From the jump, the staff was super friendly and attentive to our order. They surprised us with fresh hummus samplers as we waited.

The restaurant is just the right size with cute dine-in tables and a busy to-go counter. It was easy to see that this place is well-loved.

Taking our order home, we loved our beef and hummus (with fresh, fluffy pita). The schnitzel was tender, and the ground beef and kebabs hit the spot.

We’re from out of town visiting friends, but we’ll definitely be back.“

“Most don't realize that anyone can eat here. This is a true gem of a cafeteria in the basement of the BU Med student bldg. They serve incredibly great fresh Falafel based dishes and other Mediterranean faire including several vegan options. Absolutely scrumptious. They have a grill with standard various types of burger & fries including delicious vegan burgers. They usually have a variety of fresh soups that includes at least a vegan option. Huge selection of cold drinks in an extensive fridge wall. Anyone can eat here while they are open, but it seems mostly only BMC or BU staff and students are present. Their prices are incredibly affordable and a great value for large satisfying portions.“

The perfect venue for a baby shower for our son and daughter in laws baby due in March! Tracy and Janet were our servers and were above and beyond in friendliness and service! “Overall just a 4 star restaurant. The food is pretty good, it just seems extremely understaffed. I think the best thing was definitely the French toast. It was so good, sweet, crunchy, and the bananas were perfect. The fruit was just fruit, nothing too special. I think with the yogurt the ratio of jam to yogurt was a bit off, but overall pretty good the bread basket thing was pretty good. Avacado toast was super filling, the oatmeal was perfectly made and the pancakes were huge. I think if you’re staying at the hotel this is perfect, but overall pretty mediocre. I don’t exactly have anything to complain about except for how long it took to get food.“
