“It’s an Internet celebrity restaurant, but it’s still worth trying. ?Environment, food, and service are both average. ?Spicy chicken, crispy tofu, and boiled beef are all fresh and well cooked, especially the chicken, which is spicy and fragrant. ??The price is OK? , in short, very good in the United States ?“

“Casual Szechuan noodle bar that offers comforting flavors.
Szechuan cuisine has always been popular, but the competition in Allston has really been heating up lately. While MH holds the popularity crown by a wide margin, spots like Little Tao often get overshadowed. I've dropped by Little Tao a few times for lunch, and for a place that proudly advertises zero MSG, the flavors were bold.
Little Tao’s signature dishes are undoubtedly their Szechuan noodles, like the Chengdu noodles and Twice Cooked Pork noodles. Each bowl comes bathed in rich chili oil, with savory meat toppings adding that salty/umami punch. Despite the generous pour of chili oil, the spice level is actually pretty manageable. My only gripe? The noodles weren’t fully drained, which thinned out the flavors a bit.
From their regular Szechuan menu, I’ve tried the Mapo Tofu, Pickled Fish Fillet, and Braised Beer Duck. The first two were solid—not the best I’ve had around here, but still good. The Braised Beer Duck, though, was a different story; it was more of a chore than a meal. They serve it chopped bone-in, with barely any meat on the pieces, so I was pretty much left with picking around more bones than bites.
Overall, ia great spot to swing by for some straightforward, comforting Szechuan noodles. While I haven’t fully explored the rest of their menu, I’d suggest sticking with the noodles.“

“Food was Amazing, the flavors were perfect blast in mouth! We enjoyed every bite of it , every dish was so flavorful! One minus for service coz they forgot one item on order and we had to wait + insisted that they would pack everything together only after we were done(although there was no space on table)“

“We’ve recently started spending more time around the Brookline and Allston area, and this Saturday we decided to give BOS’ SiChuan Taste (一碟川菜馆) a try. First of all, it was surprisingly easy to find street parking nearby. After checking with the owner, we were happy to hear that they welcome well-behaved dogs to dine with you—our husky Max was able to sit with us instead of waiting in the car, which made our experience even better.
Unlike many other places, the owner and staff here are actually from Sichuan, and you can really feel that in both their hospitality and the food. The dishes were authentic and flavorful—especially the cold noodles, which reminded us of the real taste we’ve missed for a long time. The fish dish we ordered was also cooked in a unique Sichuan style: very refresh, tender and delicious, and with no fishy smell at all.
Even Max got treated to a bowl of ice water!
We truly loved the experience and would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for real Sichuan food, especially if you want to avoid the crowds of Boston’s Chinatown.“

“I discovered this restaurant while bicycling to Lexington on the Minuteman Trail. I love the traditional dining room with table cloths and Chinese decorations. The food is excellent and the staff is friendly and attentive. It has become one of my favorite Chinese restaurants in Boston.“

“Ordered the Xiangs Sweet Spicy Crispy Chicken W Peanuts and Chicken Fried Rice. Both were wonderful and some of the best Chinese takeout I’ve ever had. Tons of flavor, the chicken fried rice had a distinct grilled taste which was different but really good“

“Found this place by chance while searching for a place for quick dinner in the area. Food was surprisingly authentic sichuan and thoroughly enjoyed all dishes we tried.
-Chengdu dry chicken with red chilies $21.95 delicious flavor with mild mala numbing spices, but breaded chicken pieces seem overly deep fried.
-Stir fried chicken with black bean sauce, green bell pepper and onion $18.95 even onions had full flavor and tasty. Chicken was little salty though.
-Beef Chow Fan $18.95 best smokey flavor I've tasted in years
-hot and sour soup $4.95 with all the right ingredients it was still flavorless but salty.
Place was clean with decent table settings, fast service. Decent size parking available.“

“I recently dined at this restaurant and found the portion sizes to be more than generous, easily enough to satisfy a hungry appetite. I particularly enjoyed the chicken lo mein. The general gau chicken, however, was a bit too oily for my liking, and the egg rolls were rather bland in taste. I'm not entirely familiar with Chinese cuisine, so I'm unsure if that's how they are typically prepared, but it didn't quite suit my palate. On the positive side, the price point is quite affordable, and the restaurant offers decent seating for those looking to dine in. Overall, it's a good option if you're looking for a hearty meal at a reasonable price.

“Great for mala (dry) and for other shareable plates. Their large dish can definitely be split between 3 or so people. Would highly recommend recommend if you’re in the area and craving something spicy. Parking is of course very difficult to find, but not unusual for the area.“

“The most delicious Sichuan food in the area! My go tos are the Dan Dan noodles and hot and spicy tofu. Dan Dan noodles are spicy with the unique numbing sensation. The hot and spicy tofu is crispy with delicious spicy flavor. I usually get takeout since the ambience is pretty simple inside. Service is always quick, and sometimes pack complimentary kimchi to go, which is also super yummy. Prices went up a bit post covid but it’s still worth it!“

“I've been here twice. First time with family and second time with a group of old friends. They serve a variety of Chinese dishes including some very authentic Sichuan dishes.
The prices are decent for the city since it has a large Chinese student based customer from MIT and Harvard.
Services are above average for Chinese restaurants.“
