“I go here at least once every two weeks. It's the only decent Chinese place in the immediate area. A couple favorites are the spicy fish fillet stews with wood ear mushrooms and bamboo, and the pan fried noodles. The staff is really nice and the restaurant is bright and welcoming.“

“One of the only places near Boston that serve authentic FJ (Fuzhounese) food. Service is slow as there’s one boss lady doing everything from cooking to cleaning so don’t come in expecting too much and be patient. My favorites here are the peanut noodles (ban mian), stir fry rice cakes (nian gao), and the wonton soup (bian rou). CASH ONLY so bring change.

Everything is priced very affordably, I believe the 3 dishes in the pic were around $20 total.“

I moved out of the area but still visit the establishment when I can and the food, quality and service has remained stella. \n\nThe General Gau's Chicken and Singapore Rice Noodles are just a couple of my favorites; however, everything I have tried is delicious. “This hole in the wall is not pretty Inside,but they do have Cantonese/Hong Kong Style food. They are Cash only. We got the curry sauce pork on spaghetti and Beef stew & wonton soup. The service was decent. Don't have have expectations for service at any Asian places. Our food came fast, but getting our bill took time. They got pretty busy. The wontons tasted homemade and the broth was very rich in flavor. The curry sauce was thick and tasty. The pork was perfectly cooked. Overall, a good experience“

“Ronald Coleman I agree with everything above. Sunrise House is my go to Chinese restaurant. Takeout service is excellent, the food is the best and is always hot when I get home (15 miles away). Love their General Gau's chicken combination plate with pork fried rice and a appetizer of boneless spare ribs--all for a price of $13 +tax. It is enough for me to have 2.5 meals of great eating. Pick up is easy because you can park in a spacious lot. When you go inside you can see and smell the delicious food being cooked in an immaculate kitchen. The interface with the workers is pleasant and quick. I go there an average of twice a month. Try it you will not be disappointed.“

“While searching for a good Chinese restaurant nearby, we came across Westwood Jade in Westwood, MA, and it did not disappoint! The food, prices, and service were all excellent. The pork fried rice was perfectly cooked, soft with no hard grains; chicken wings were tender and flavorful; ribs were just right—not chewy or hard; and the chicken lo mein was saucy, loaded with chicken, and not overly sweet. The crab rangoons were crispy, warm, and had the perfect filling.

They even included all the essentials—plates, utensils, napkins, sauces, fortune cookies, and hot sauce. Everything was spot on. 10/10 experience — thank you, and God bless!“

This is the type of place where you know what you pay for is top quality and they are always open. Ming she is so friendly and happy the hospitality here is top notch. “A small fresh authentic rice roll restaurant making Chinese rice noodle rolls. You can see them making the batter for the rice noodles. That’s how fresh it is. They have shareable congee, soup dumplings and rice roll dishes. They have a kiosk at the door to order your food and they bring it out to you. Not much service to comment on but they are nice and the food is good.“

The General Tso’s Chicken tastes so good, and the price is very reasonable — the combo is only $15.75 (about $16.85 after tax) with an appetizer included. Each order even comes with a free egg roll worth $2.80, and if you order more, they’ll give you extra Orange Chicken for free — delicious! Their tremella juice is also fantastic; I’ve never had anything like it at other restaurants. They said it’s a free treat for customers. Highly recommended!“

Five of us arrived from out of town and walked in to see the four person table occupied and one person at one of the two person tables (yep, three tables total). The proprietor moved the two folks at the four person table to the two person table (they were regulars and happy to move) and grabbed the spare chair and suddenly the place was at full occupancy!

The menu is expansive and required a bit of explanation for our group to pick a meal, but absolutely everything was great. The winners were a dish consisting of well fried chicken and noodles and the orange chicken (my choice). Everyone at the table said the chicken was perfectly cooked and the flavor and spice were just right. The portions were generous, but alas I had no leftovers to take home.

It seemed like 50 takeout orders went out while we were there. Obviously the locals love the food.“
