“The food is generally good. The hostesses are always the worst. First thing you see when you walk in everytime is people on their phones, not acknowledging you, not saying hi. Everytime. The BLT is the worst BLT I’ve ever had. The beer selection is great, although often out of selections (even month long specials). The bathrooms are often overflowing with trash. I also don’t think anyone likes those iPad things they try to promote every time I go there. Been here dozens of times.“

I have had better steak (it wasn't melt in your mouth tender) but it was still really great, and the overall experience was wonderful. Cocktails and wine were also perfect. “I don’t have too many steakhouse reviews but our experience at Mooo Seaport was outstanding. My wife and I, who live across town and don’t frequent Seaport, Ubered to Seaport last might for what turned into one of our best steak experiences in recent memory (yes it was that good).

We decided on the tuna tartare appetizer, followed by the Beef Wellington and cap steak (the latter, one of their specialties) and said we would be sharing everything. The tartare, a delicious combination of tuna, seaweed and a yummy sauce with seaweed and sesame oil flavor, was perfectly portioned on two separate plates for us, as was the Wellington, arguably the star of the evening (for my wife especially). Thin, crispy pastry surrounded the tenderloin and inside was an amazing duxelles with foie gras that topped the steak, served on a perfect red wine reduction.

However, for me, the cap steak was another level in terms of both richness and tenderness. Of course both steaks were cooked to a precise medium rare and paired perfectly with simple sea salt fries and a glass of CA cab.

Very solid beer and wine by the glass menus (and dirty martini loaded with blue cheese olives for my wife). Service was outstanding. In addition to everything being separated and perfectly presented, one of the servers from another table (Zach), whom we had known at the Capital Grille years ago, had recognized our name from the reservation list and came by to say hello! In addition, the manager came several times to make sure we had everything.

That level of detail, the “through the roof” level of the food and preparation, set Mooo above nearly every other Boston steakhouse, in the same conversation as Grille 23. Cheers, Mooo!“

“I love StockYard. We haven't been in a long time as we moved faraway. Now, after 10 years we came back and it was like we never stopped coming to eat here. The food was super delicious. The NY Sirloin, and the tenderness of the Fille Minog was extraordinary. Outstanding customer service. The drinks were superb. And the complimentary chocolate cake with ice cream for Father's day was out of this world. Thank you.“

“We went for dinner on a Friday night at 7:30. the place was packed. It’s loud. But we were seated in a booth which gave us some privacy. \n\nOur service was not really communicative, but effective and fast.\n\nOur food was great:\n- Instead of bread, popovers with butter were served. Tasty.\n- Our small cold seafood tower was enough for 4 people. Everything tasted fresh and was well prepared.\n- Excellent flat iron steak. Fries could be crispier, but still tasted good.“

“Our family of 5 were there yesterday/Thanksgiving for dinner. Our server Amanda was the best we have ever had at a restaurant. She is a gem, and they should be so happy to have her. This was our first time there, and the food was excellent. It is as good as Mooo, Capital Grille, Smith and Wolensky, and any of the high end restaurants at a lower price point. “This was our first time going to the Vermillion Club and could not recommend it enough! We went for Thanksgiving, and everything was made to perfection. There were plenty of delicious sides (special shout out to the homemade Hawaiian rolls) with the star of the show being the most delicious turkey I have had (especially the confit turkey leg!!!) We also had a delicious and decadent sticky toffee pudding and small pumpkin pies.“

“Went for a business event. Visiting Boston from Copenhagen, Denmark. Nice food, good beer, nice atmos. But when we left it was heavy rain. Our Uber app didn't work for some reason. Tried to get a taxi. No luck. Went back in, asked if they could order a taxi, but the taxis would only come if we paid over the phone. Wasn't to keen about that. The manager said, after trying to get a taxi, I'll book an Uber, and she paid for it. She didn't want any payment. I only had 10S in cash which probably could cover it, or most of it. However beside the point, the manager covered our Uber ride, and just asked us to do a good deed to someone else instead. Wow, that was impressive and not something I have ever tried anywhere. A very beautiful end to a nice evening at the Yardhouse. Thanks a million, much appreciated.“

“We were celebrating our 16th anniversary and my retirement, and wanted to do it up right! We picked the right place for it. Coming in from Cape Cod, for a concert at Fenway we had reservations for Abe and Louie’s, but there were 2 at the bar so they let us sit there instead of our table. Our bartenders were great. To our surprise, Bree almost immediately said “Happy Anniversary!” And our drink order was taken. Michelle made a spicy margarita with a nice kick and a heavy glass, and a soda. Then we ordered shrimp cocktail which were brought out in mere moments. The shrimp were huge and cold and crunchy- perfect! We took our time and were not rushed to order our meal, but once we did, with Kendal, she asked all the right questions, offered to split our salad in the kitchen, and made some great recommendations. I wanted my Filet with their wedge salad as my entree and was told no problem. Our meal, my huge filet and my man’s ribeye were both cooked as requested and his suggested garlic whipped potatoes were creamy and yummy! The food was all out of this world, but what made the dining a true experience was the tango these three women danced around each other, each knowing what the other was doing and exactly what their patrons wanted. You can get a great filet many places but I pay for the service and we both felt like we were treated like royalty. Thank you Bree, Kendal and Michelle for making our anniversary and my retirement a true celebration!!“

Although we had a reservation, I asked to sit somewhere less formal, and the hostess immediately offered us a perfect high-top table in the bar area. The atmosphere was lively, but relaxed-conversations buzzing, TVs muted, and drinks shaking. Our wine, filets, mashed potatoes, and creamed spinach were hot, delicious, and perfectly timed for our evening plans.
