“Was out on a bike ride and asked they could fill my water bottle with tap water. The server asked if I'd like ice! Sure would! It was 85 degrees out. I appreciate them supporting locals out biking and very much appreciate their fine service.“

I ordered the Dubai chocolate donut and forgot to pick it up the next day and I messaged them on Instagram and they were kind enough to replace it for free and they even threw in an extra donut. “You never know what to expect when a longstanding business changes hands but the new owners have done a great job of maintaining the spirit of Anna's Donuts and even bringing some upgrades - they now take cards, more menu options, etc. I recently stopped in during a heatwave to pick up donuts for the office. The owners were there working away turning out batches of donuts despite a broken AC and hot temps inside. The donuts were a HUGE hit in the office!

“Best donuts in the area! Their donuts are incredible in flavor. They’re light, fluffy, and delicious - my kids request them every week! Our favorites are vanilla glaze, everything donut, and the Apple fritter. Sometimes they have savory tarts which are SO good. We especially love the pride donuts they have every June. Blackbird employees are always so friendly and welcoming as well, which is also appreciated. Blackbird also delivers through DoorDash, and the donuts are always delivered fresh. The Newton location does not have a bathroom, fyi but that does not detract from the amazing food! Thank you Blackbird for being such a wonderful addition to our community!“

They also, surprisingly, have a selection of bigelow teas, and I got a cranberry apple! Enjoyed it in front of a fireplace with friends.

“I thought that this place was very pleasant compared to a lot of places in the area. We actually went here by accident (meaning to go to the one in Canton), but glad we did. Food was hot, even better than my usual store 30 minutes away and they're pretty good.“

“I first tried Mochi Dough at a mall in Providence, and it blew my mind. So when I saw another Mochi Dough in a mall, I knew I had to try to replicate that experience.

While the donuts were hot, they didn't taste quite as fresh as the ones in Providence. I think the ones in Providence (which took longer to be prepared) were truly made fresh from uncooked batter, while the ones in Natick were perhaps pre-prepared then re-fried before serving.

Regardless, these donuts were still quite good. Just not as good as if they were completely freshly made. It's a high standard to hold them to, but their donuts are more expensive than most other mochi donut places in the Boston area, so I expect more.“
