“Visited for the first time after making a phone reservation more than a week ago - this place is very popular! Super friendly welcome, peaceful and calm atmosphere. We had two pasta mains that were very well made, al dente pasta, flavorful sauce. Very cozy on a chilly night. Service is perhaps a little slow but they want to make you feel comfortable and not rushed. Will definitely come back when we visit cape cod again!“

“We happened to be in Orleans and decided to grab an early dinner at The Barley Neck. We started with a dozen raw oysters and a bottle of French Chardonnay. The oysters were so fresh and delicious we ordered a second dozen. My husband had a lobster pasta dish for his entree and I had a Thai style tuna steak. Both were delicious, but a special thumbs up for the tuna. It was without a doubt the BEST tuna steak I’ve ever had! We finished with the pineapple upside down cake special! O.M.G. Everything was consistently amazing. The service was attentive and welcoming! From beginning to end the experience as a whole was on point! 10 out of 10!“

“Sunbird is one of my favorite breakfast spots on the cape. The food is unique and wholesome. My favorites are the breakfast tacos and chai latte. I love the picnic tables and patio in the back - such a relaxing spot to enjoy quiet or a catch up with friends!“

“UNCHARACTERISTRICALLY LONG WAIT. Usually good, fast, friendly. Today we were there THIRTY MINUTES waiting for four sandwiches. New staff still learning the ropes, which is understandable, but at least a dozen other sandwiches got made for people ordering •after• us before we got our four. Hope this process improves considerably in the next few weeks...“

“We had the rueben and some chicken wings. Both yummy. Great fries and not too many. Hot and crunchy. It was a rainy night and the AC was blowing on us. I'm guessing it's a good atmosphere for a warm summer day but for us cold, not helped by a table of heavily drinking golfers who were loud, and super crude. The hard surfaces amplified their noise. No need for those with all the other scrumptious vegan fillings- you can load up a bowl or burrito with any and all vegan fillings- tons of vegetables, black and refried beans, and brown rice. But in this case, I think it's just a matter of people maybe not wanting to go to a golf club restaurant that may be considered a little harder to get to. “The restaurant is beautifully appointed with gorgeous views of the water. The service is excellent and the food presented is exquisite. The tuna melted in my mouth. The rest of the courses were excellent. The dessert for me was the weakest course but I'm not a big dessert fan either so I have very high standards. Overall, a perfect dining experience.
