“We had one of the best meals we've ever had in western Mass recently at Protcol. It was our fourth or fifth time there and they're really perfecting their operation. Loved the short rib with arepas for 2, dill hummus, and mushroom spatzle. (sp). Killer cocktails always. Worth the drive from Northampton!“

“Perhaps the last remaining dive bar in Northampton. There are darts, pool tables, and affordable drinks. Though the food only consists of chips, they are awesome enough to allow you to bring your own (which includes ordering a whole pizza from down the street!)
Friday night crowd had a mix of all ages and all ethnicities. As a Black woman, this was one of the few times I felt comfortable in a late night establishment in this town. Cheers to Ye Ol' Watering Hole and its awesome bartenders! 🍻“

“What an incredible hole-in-the-wall pub. I was at a conference at UMass and was recommended to visit here for an eclectic selection of beers from around the world. So glad I took their suggestion! Soooo many delicious choices, from light to boozy. If you're daring, join the Mug Club.

“Atmosphere is dope, big bar, nice comfortable seating. You can see the cooks in the kitchen making your amazing meal! They close at 2 am most days and they also have a nights menu for food at night until 1am!!! I had the BEST burger last night. Thank you!!“

Edit 3 September: we had the pretzel again. This is probably the best pretzel I've ever had. It's hard not to just eat pretzel after pretzel and work my way through the excellent beer list.“
