“Absolutely fantastic! We got the fried chicken with rice and beans and the fried fish with plantains. Chicken was well seasoned, and moist despite being fried without a batter. Fish was moist, tender, flaky, served whole fried, on the bone. Pikliz was tangy with a hint of that scotch bonnet spice, great compliment to the fried meats. Rice and beans was probably the best I've had on the continental US. 10/10 overall!“

“Went here for the first time last night on a friends recommendation. Never tried Venezuelan food before but WOW we were absolutely blown away by the beef arepas and the mojitos . So delicious! We came on a Saturday and were seated immediately, and the food came out fast. Definitely coming back!“

“I am of Bajan decent. Today I experienced the goat and Coucou (sp?). It was so good that I found myself swaying and humming. I almost expected my Bajan grandmother to enter the room and join me. The food was so tasty, comforting and just spicy enough. I also had the opportunity to meet Chester, the owner and Chef. In speaking with him, it is clear to note that he is committed to his community. While recognizing some of the problems, he comes forward offering solutions! “We picked “La Fábrica” to celebrate my husband's birthday and we had a great experience. Our server was very friendly and attentive, Kelvin the manager came over a few times to make sure we were accommodated and happy with the experience. Overall I highly recommend this place for any occasion.“

My boyfriend and I stumbled upon this place and I'm glad we did!
It was our first time eating Haitian food so we were excited.
The woman tending to us was so sweet and explained to us our options and let us try samples. She genuinely wanted us to enjoy our meal and I felt that love from her.
We ended up splitting a dinner plate with chicken, salad, plantains, rice, and mac n cheese. Everything was clearly homemade and delicious. Portions were generous and we both left full. They even made fresh cheesecake and gave us some to try, literally they were so kind!
Really I only have good things to say about this place and I recommend you support their business because they were awesome and the food was of high quality!!“

“The young woman at the order window is so pleasant! She’ll let you know exactly how long the wait is and if there are any issues in the kitchen causing delays.
I ordered the roti, and it was tasty. However, I waited nearly two hours.
I would not recommend the pepper sauce unless you love extremely spicy food—it is HOT! Just a tiny drop is enough. 🌶️“

“The meat and the rice were bone free, well seasoned, and delicious!!! A little dry, but I was doing a “too good to go” bag at the end of the day, so that’s okay.
I will have to come back for more!
Parking is tricky, because there is one entrance and one exit and they are not obvious, so be aware and careful when pulling in (especially if you’re crossing multiple lanes of traffic to do it), but there is free parking.
Also, lots of black ice right now in the lot, which is not the businesses fault, as I’m from of them it’s fine, but just be careful!!!“

“I don't know where to start because there are too much for me to say, first of all, I have been coming to this place for a period of time, it is mostly my Sundays spot to bring my family after church. The reason that I choose to leave this feedback because I FEEL like it is time for me to give them a feedback 😊!
To continue, I congratulate these people for the hard work that they have been putting to keep up with running this place, bravo. On the other hand, I would like to give you guys an advice base the the type of review that you guys are getting, I hope you guys use these good and bad comments to motive yourself and your teams! Today is June 14th 2025….. I went in for a large steak I didn’t realize it was close to closing. I asked if they had steak to which… yes , was the reply….
I got the plate and he said it wasn’t enough steak…. So the other choice was chicken… mind you they had oxtail ( I overheard on my way out) ….. they charged me for a large steak…. It want even a whole piece of steak just broken chunks and 3 pieces of chicken…. I been yall since Blue Hill Ave days….. I am beyond disappointed….. this is the second time yall skimped me. There will not be a 3rd!!!!“

“THE STORE IS NOW OFFICIALLY OPEN!!! Business Hours: 10am-9pm Mon-Sat Closed sundays (for now) Rice and Peas and curry goat. FOOOD IS GOOODT nice serving size. Order a small and I was full before finishing it. So much flavor, this curry chicken here was so juicy, rice and peas not too soft nor to hard, FRESH. Yellow plantain sweet and soft and tasteful Looking fwd to the BBQ J*** chicken next time I go. Everything on the menu is actually good“

“i will definitely be visiting The D Coal Pot again very soon. The food is fresh taste great and really good. I was driving and came upon this restaurant i didn't plan on going to this restaurant but I said to self stop and get a few Patties and wouldn't you know they had no Patties. I left the restaurant with Corn Soup Peas & Rice Chicken Roti Beef Roti. I also got to try a dessert I've never had before I don’t know the name of it but had Guava Sweet Potato Coconut and other things to make this dessert which was really good so I ordered 2 to go. D Coal Pot is definitely a place you must visit and get a meal.“
