“We are visiting from England and have been to Heart and Soul three times in the past week. Why? Yes, the coffee is excellent and the food is very good, but it's the warmth and hospitality of the owner, Bud, that has impressed us most. We have lived and travelled in many places around the world but rarely have we experienced an owner with such a wonderful attitude and such a welcome. It feels like visiting a friend when we come to Heart and Soul....a place that embodies the name of the cafe and an owner who clearly knows what hospitality means.“

“The bagels here are excellent, and everything there is at a great price point for breakfast food. I enjoy them just as much as Abraham's in Newburyport. I only wish they would open a little sooner. I often get there at 7AM to find it not open yet. Hopefully if they get more business they will want to open earlier.“

“My husband and I were driving by and stopped on our way to Maine. The breakfast sandwiches did not disappoint! I thought about their pastries for the whole week we were away! We drove back to them on our way home to Illinois, they helped me a pack a pastry to travel back home with. Two flights later I got to deliver my mom a Tiramisu cream puff!! Thank you ladies!! She loved it!! I wish we had more time to try everything! We definitely will be back! If you guys ever ship to another state I’ll be ordering!!!“

“Wow! I wish I took photos because what I ate was delicious! Got the Steak and Eggs and wife tried the crave! Was surprised with the gf bread on the crave but was actually really delicious so was very pleased! It was wild in there they were very busy but everyone was hustling! They did unfortunately make one drink wrong but they did fix it and we're quick on getting it fixed! Would love to go back when it's a less crazy day. Took everything to go.“

“How anyone could give this place a bad review makes no sense to me. You've probably already read from the other reviews that the staff is incredible, but truly -- they are. They are so kind and welcoming to every single person that comes in. Aside from that, the coffee is AMAZING! They have so many different flavors to choose from and you can customize any drink however you like (even if it's not on the menu). Also, the breakfast sandwiches... wow. Get 'The Stallion', just trust me. Prices are completely reasonable. Honestly, no other coffee place I've been to even compares. I'll be a longtime customer!“

“We recently hired Googans to cater for a celebration of life. We kept it simple with a cheese and veggie platter, sandwiches and sweets- finger food. Everything was absolutely delicious! People were raving about how good the sandwiches and desserts were. I absolutely recommend for catering and also to stop in their shop for breakfast and/or lunch. We were very happy with our whole experience with Googan’s.“

“What can I say other than magical?! We were fortunate enough to host my son’s 11th birthday party in the back room (The kids loved the secret hidden entrance through the bookcase). Tons of great games for all ages and the food was fantastic! Literally everything we had was gourmet quality and up to my foodie 11 year-old’s standards. “The best bagels around and absolutely amazing cappuccino. The only reason for the 4 stars vs 5 on service is because the young girl I constantly get just doesn't seem to want to be there. Don't get me wrong service is fast, orders come out exactly how you ordered them. However, the counter staff taking your order should, at the very least, be pleasant.“

We got a few coffees, crescents (not GF) and cookies. After we drove away my wife started raving about how amazing the GF Chocolate Chip cookies were. She told me several times they were the best she ever had and wished that we had gotten more. I had a bite (even though I love gluten in my cookies) and I have to admit they were great. Thanks for a great treat! My wife's only regret is that we were traveling (11 hours away) and we won't be in the area again to get some more. If you stop by, be sure to eat a GF cookie for her!“

This is a lunch spot in a corporate center; they should be prioritizing the people ordering onsite. The sandwich was great, though.“
