“Had a blueberry scone, cranberry muffin, and grabbed a garlic cheddar bread loaf. The muffin was old and dry, the scone was pretty good, but the loaf was incredible. It went amazingly with eggs and grilled cheeses. It was calorically heavy and still might have been the fastest my health-conscious household has gone through a load of bread in ages. I'm excited to try their other artisan loafs and see if they can redeem the last muffin.“

“This local place has been a comfort and all time favorite spot for over 8 years now. They have the best boba drinks and best cake pastries I have ever had. The boba is not overly sweetened like at other places. I like that they don’t serve the boba drinks with ice, but it’s still served perfectly cold (while hot is also available). The strawberry and mango cakes, as well as their mousses, are amazing. I ordered the mango cake for a grad party: 10/10 everyone loved it. Only thing is, I wish they were open on more days/hours.“

The Palestinian bread and the flatbread with the green topping (forget what it's called) is a family favorite. We adore these; the flatbreads are a great quick lunch. Small bakery in East Somerville, not the easiest to get to, but at least that means there won’t be a big queue!

I tried their almond croissant and their baguette. The baguette was superb: crispy, the perfect amount of chewiness, honestly I was transported back to Paris. Extremely authentic.

The almond croissant was very good (and beautiful!) One small criticism which prevents this from reaching 5 stars: I felt like the almond paste could have been more flavourful, and the croissant itself could have been slightly crispier. But still overall solid.“

“My coworker drives from the North Shore for these croissants and I’m glad I finally tried them. I think the almond croissant and regular croissant are very good. The apple turnover was okay. I’m sure the canele is good too, but I think mine was very slightly underbaked. Will definitely come back.“

The melon pan was really good and I enjoyed the sweet crust. I just wish the inside was a bit more “cloudy”/fluffy (less doughy) like traditional melon pans. The Chocolate Croissant was amazing. Really liked the chocolate filling and the flakiness of the croissant.
The matcha latte was pretty good, but a bit too sweet. The coffee in the iced latte was a bit too acidic for my taste. All their baked goods are pretty cheap tho!“

She offered pick up in Medford and also delivery to your house! If you have allergies she offers, gluten-free, vegan and nut-free cakes!“

“I am so grateful that a place like this exists. As someone with a severe peanut allergy I can never have baked goods. I also have a severe allergy to peas and pea protein which can be a common pairing of allergies. I did find that there are vegan pastries in the same case that are made with butter that contains pea protein so I didn’t feel 100% safe eating the baked goods. If they were to be more separate or the vegan baked goods didn’t contain peas, I would be here every single weekend. The staff was SO nice and went over the top to ensure I knew ingredients. Highly recommend but with caution if you have a legume / pea allergy like me!“

They have great coffee in generous sizes, excellent breakfast options (ham and cheese croissants, breakfast sandwiches), and yummy baked goods. They had the cutest sugar-decorated shortbread cookies this week! The space itself is pretty small, not a lot of seating, but some nice window spots if you can get them. The staff are so friendly and helpful!“

“I love When Pigs Fly bread! My favs are the Oat and Honey, 6 Grain and Pumpkin Seed, and basically any of the sweet breads! The English Muffin loaf is good too.

The staff are all super kind and helpful. I saw some negative reviews on here that find fault with the service, and to them I say: hello? Are you okay? If you can’t get through a bread order (which should be a simple, short interaction I’d say??) without beefing with a staff member, I invite you to consider that *you* might be the problem. :)“
