“Stopped here for the first time and grabbed a coffee and scone, as well as bread to have with my dinner later. All were excellent. Had a great conversation with a local as well. I will definitely be heading back even though it is out of my way.“
“TL;DR on this review: Sally Ann makes the best BLT you'll ever have. You know the nostalgia we all have for a marinara your nana made, or a breakfast joint you went to as a kid, where they put hamburger helper in the hash browns and the waitstaff all knew each other & your family? Or a memory of visiting Chicago and having deep dish pizza for the first time - you probably remember exactly where you were when you lost your mind over how good it was. If there's only a dozen things in my portfolio of food nostalgia, the Sally Ann BLT is one of them. I hadn't been in the store in about 15 years - I grew up in the area, and only recently came back to visit. It's like walking into a place frozen in time - the proprietor Bill looks like he's aging in reverse, there's a polite, sharp kid working the counter, and a woman slicing bread who seems to know everyone who walks in. The BLT is just as good as it was 1.5 decades ago. It's so simple, but so perfect. The thing about simple food is this - if there's only 3-4 components, ya kinda gotta nail each one. Enter Sally Ann's BLT: -Bread: their default is a cracked wheat, so it pays homage to the traditional white bread purists associate with BLTs, without being, well, white bread. The crust is perfect; the bread of soft and peppery and still has heft to it. Their bread alone is worth a visit. -Lettuce: the treatment of lettuce in sandwiches is so underrated! They slice up their romaine (THANK YOU!!) - no one wants those full leaves of lettuce in a sandwich that slip out after one bite, leaving no crunch or green behind. -Mayo: not too little, not too much, and on both sides of the bread. Perfection. -Tomato: idk how Bill does this... but the tomatoes seem to always be juicy beefsteaks. Bite into this sandwich and you're bound to have some tomato juice running out. I'm not a big tomato person, unless they're quite good; a bad tomato will absolutely ruin a BLT. They're also sliced just right, so that the tomato doesn't overpower the sandwich - it's a supporting actor, after all. -Bacon: ok this is the real star of the show, and they nail it. It's crispy (who wants flappy bacon?!) without being brittle. There's just the right amount of it that you feel like you're definitely not getting gypped with too little, or overwhelmed trying to bite down on three inches of sandwich. -Bonus: add avocado - simply put, worth it every time, but not necessary considering how solid this sandwich is w/out it. Their lemon squares are also incredible (again, nothing has changed). It's a little pricy (you're in Concord, supporting a local business... expect nothing less), but it's such a luxurious indulgence. Simple things done this well are worth it, and theirs is a business worth supporting.“
“I enjoy coming to Nashoba. I like the baked goods, sandwiches. I do find the mochas very bitter and always feel I have to ask for more syrups to balance the flavor since it doesn't taste quite right when I order them. I kinda wish Nashoba would find an alternate mocha/chocolate sauce for mochas. The service is great and I do enjoy the ambiance and vibe of Nashoba.“
“Stopped in Saturday morning for coffee and a treat. There was a lot going on and only a few places to sit but most people were getting things to go so it wasn't hard to snag a table. The seating area is cute but does get a little crowded when it's busy. I ordered a hot coffee and a lemon square. Both were delicious! The lemon square was the perfect balance of sweet and tart. Will definitely be back but will probably get things to go next time!“
“15/10.Not only was their packaging super cute and on point. It makes a great gift to give to anyone - or yourself. Lol. If you want a classic macaron, GO HERE!!!!The tops are that perfect soft crunch - Where it melts into that soft chewiness from shell to shell when you go to bite in. dI will definitely be coming here again. . .PS - Try the Mac Cookie!“
“First off, the donuts and pastries are mouth-watering delicious. The Kroffle with whipped cream and fruit are to die for, especially with a speciality ice coffee in your hands. I love the matacha flavors; so true to the authentic kind used in Japanese treats and made me feel like I was back in Kyoto.Service was and is amazing! DoorDash was struggling to find the correct drop off address so the owner personally delivered it to me and adjusted the price. Couldn't have been nicer about the whole deal and went the extra mile to ensure I had everything. If you haven't gone yet, go! It's worth the drive and Waltham doesn't do meters so park and enjoy a slice of homemade donuts. They don't make them like this and for kids of the 90s, get the Fruity Pebble donut with a tall glass of milk or bask in the joy of a waffle with cream and fruit and Oreo cooking sticking out! ?“
“Everyone working there is so friendly. Eva’s is a great spot with some of the best pastries in the state. Even their lunch sandwiches and sheet pan pizza are amazing. It’s been great seeing them grow and expand their offerings. I can’t wait to keep going back!!“
“I happened to be driving through Westford yesterday morning and stopped here on a whim. I’m so glad I did! The atmosphere was warm and inviting, with folks chatting at tables and others stopping in for a quick breakfast. I picked up a French breakfast muffin (nutmeg with cinnamon sugar) that was excellent. I also bought one fresh scone and several day-old scones that have been incredible. The cinnamon chip was a favorite in our house. This bakery is a great local spot that I look forward to supporting again!“
“The baked treats here are absolutely incredible! Our family visits every weekend to get blueberry muffins and fresh quiche. For kids' birthday parties, the cupcakes can't be beat. And for special holiday occasions, the apple and pumpkin pies are outstanding! Igor and his team are also just fantastic people.“
“Everything I've purchased here has been amazing! The pastries and deli items have always been fresh. The workers are helpful and friendly. Their prices are great compared to other bakeries I visit. I definitely recommend checking out LaCascia's!“
“My experience with Cake Inc was one of a kind and incredibly special! From the first email with Susan, I knew that I had picked the right local bakery to order my parent's anniversary cake from. Susan was a dream to work with, exceptionally kind and professional. I sent her an inspiration photo but the cake was more beautiful than the photo and she even added on another tier to our surprise. I plan on telling everyone about Cake Inc, Susan went above and beyond!“
“I was charged $19.75 for four macarons and previously wrote a negative review. Recognizing there had been a mistake, the owner reached out with an apology, explained the proper pricing, promised to train the sales clerk accordingly, and refunded my purchase due to the mistake. Thank you!“
“The ABSOLUTE BEST place to get a breakfast or lunch sandwich for $10 or less. The family that owns it is extremely friendly and they are always making the freshest bread, venting the smells to Walnut Street where I am always tempted to pick up a loaf!“
“Delicious!!! I ordered a cake the same flavors as my wedding cake to celebrate my anniversary since our original bakery was really far and Bliss really knocked it out of the park. I love a good frosting and theirs is so good. The design exactly matched what I had requested as well. The online request form is easy to fill out and Kristen and Delia followed up immediately. I would order from them again in a heartbeat!“
“I have tried many of and love all their freshly-baked bread products. Breads (sourdough, whole wheat, challah and others), baguettes, and bagels. And they sell related products like maple syrup, etc.IMO one secret advantage they have is that they are a sourdough bakery. A co-owner told me during my last visit that not just their sourdough bread, but also their whole wheat, cinnamon swirl, and others are sourdough (no sourdough baguettes yet).FYI, sourdough bread acts as a prebiotic, which means that the fiber in the bread helps feed the “good” bacteria in your intestines. These bacteria are important for maintaining a stable, healthy digestive system. Sourdough is also lower in gluten than other forms of bread.“
“I was coming to Cape Cod for a family get together and placed my order for a gluten-free cake over the phone. They had excellent communication with me about when it would be ready to be picked up the day of the event. I had no opportunity to taste anything from their bakery before I ordered the cake. I am not gluten-free, so let’s just say I was skeptical about how it would turn out. It was their chocolate cake with white chocolate frosting. I was extremely pleased with our order! The cake was delicious. Highly recommend.“
“The desserts are excellent! I ordered on a delivery app and I tried the tiramisu cake, strawberry cream cake, and Oreo Mille cake which was especially good. The desserts are lighter and a bit less sweet than traditional American desserts which is really a nice change. You can tell a lot of care and attention went into making these desserts. So good, highly recommend.“
“Got the sweet breads at 9am on Sunday morning, I'm not a Spanish speaker but don't worry ! They are extremely friendly unlike the other place in Waltham, this small corner shop bake them fresh everyday ! I didn't see mountains of baked buns piled , only small batches were made when I got to the store. I wasn't expecting much but the bread is soft and moist, what a nice surprise! And who doesn't appreciate freshness ?“
“We love stopping in to Kairo's Bakery everytime we go to Waltham. The owner is incredibly nice and willing to answer any questions about their freshly made delicious bake goods or their imported products! The sweet breads are my kids favorite and the cookies are mine!“
“Cookies are delicious. I ordered Brookie, Reese’s, and plain chocolate chip cookie yesterday. In my opinion they are slightly better than Crumbl. I am comparing Crumbl’s semi-sweet to the Cookie Monstah’s choc chip cookie. I think this one is a better cookie overall. Both are great btw.Unlike Crumbl, they do not bake cookies fresh to order. They just give you what’s on display. That was the only negative.Good and fast service! I really liked the Brookie, Reese’s and the chocolate-chip one.Vegetarian options: I don’t think they have any vegan/non dairy optionDietary restrictions: I don’t think they have any vegan/non dairy optionParking: Plenty of spots.Kid-friendliness: Yes; great place for kidsWheelchair accessibility: Yes; wheelchair accessible“
“We had a double graduation party and Breadsong was so amazing with their delicious and beautiful custom made cakes. The Italian Rum cake was gone immediately! We’ve been ordering from there for years and highly recommended them for your special occasions! Thank you!“
“I love Verrill Farm. I'm a regular here. The chicken quesadilla is my go to Deli order and it is amazing. And the guac is deeeelightful. I also love buying produce and meat here. The quality is substantially higher than my local grocery stores. More importantly, the people are really friendly and they've helped me with special requests on multiple holidays. I'm really lucky to live near Verrill.“
