“We were so lucky to find Mary and Victor Alsobrook and La Bonne Maison for our fall brunch wedding reception at Olio. They were so easy to work with and genuine and accommodating - it was a dream to work with them. From our signature cocktails (blood orange prosecco cocktails, fall spiced sangria, hot toddy) to our food (biscuits and sausage gravy, lobster grilled cheese, fried chicken and waffles, French toast soufflé, Greek orzo salad, seafood salad, apple cider doughnuts, mushroom pastry purses, pear gorgonzola stars, and more!) to the beautiful spice wedding cake - it was absolute perfection. We love La Bonne Maison!“

“My Wife and I stopped by for a quick bite yesterday afternoon. We both ordered the double smashburger and shared a large fry order. The smashburger was excellent, well cooked and dressed with lettuce tomatoes pickles and sauce, very tasty. The fries order was a large and it truly was large. Not your regular run of the mill string fries. Large thick (almost Steak Fries) lightly salted and very tasty. Definitely will eat here again. BG“
“We had an incredible experience with Sensational Paella! We worked directly with Julian, and he made planning our event and preparing the food an absolute breeze. He was so easy to work with and incredibly helpful, guiding us to create the perfect menu and overall experience for our private event. His team was equally wonderful—friendly, kind, and clearly passionate about the food they were cooking. We enjoyed two large paellas and a beautiful grazing station with endless options. The quality of the food truly stood out: the meats, cheeses, and garlic butter shrimp were phenomenal. Our guests loved every bite and savored every moment. I can’t recommend Julian and the Sensational Paella team enough—they made our event both delicious and memorable!“

“Hiring Capers for our wedding was the best decision we’ve ever made! The people were great, and the food and drinks were out of this world. Everyone we worked with was extremely helpful and professional throughout the entire process. They guided us through the daunting task of designing our menu and beverage program, as well as assisted in our furniture and linen rentals. We always felt like we were in good hands. The food was absolutely stunning! Capers has a wide variety of interesting menu options, far beyond your typical wedding dishes. We ended up going with BBQ, Asian, and fall seasonal stations, in addition to an assortment of fun appetizers, plus gourmet donuts for dessert. The food was unique, gorgeous, and most importantly, absolutely delicious! They were also able to make special accommodations for our guests with dietary restrictions, so everybody left with a full belly. Many guests told us that this was the best wedding food they’ve ever had. We definitely agree! For the bar, Capers was able to handle all of our special requests and provided a unique selection of craft beers, ciders, seltzers, as well as plenty of wine and liquor options. They did a great job of finding cool, local brands that gave the bar a much more upscale feel without breaking the bank. The signature cocktails that they designed for us were both beautiful and delicious. Our guests couldn’t stop raving about them! P.S. Get the cake pops, you won’t regret it!“

“I used Basil Tree at work for a few small meetings then started using them for a larger weekly conference. The 2nd week everyone was telling me how much they love the sandwiches/wraps and cookies. “Hostess catering provided the food at our son’s (and soon to be daughter in law) engagement party for 125 people. We had a special menu featuring various hot and cold appetizers followed by bufffet dinner featuring 3 ethnicities: Indian, Italian, and Mediterranean. Everybody, including the Indian guests, raved about the Indian food. Greek guests and everyone else loved the Mediterranean food. Everybody was thrilled with the Italian food. Our experience with Donna and her team was exceptional at every touch point-Planning, presentation and labeling of the foods, service, food quality, and cleanup. Absolutely exceptional caterer!“

The idea of this place is sweet and charming and it is by far one of the most affordable “high-tea” experiences in the area. I appreciated that it had a kids menu as the point of our reservation was to dress up fancy and celebrate my 8 year old daughter. For her this place checked all the boxes, so thank you!!
Adult rating - 2-3 stars
As an adult I do have a few complaints. The Belmont location is very understaffed with one waitress for a full room of tables. This caused our wait times to be quite long and the service to be poor, which I had seen mentioned in other reviews before booking. Also the attention to the quality of what was served was very underwhelming, again possibly due to an over stretched waitress. We were not offered any honey or lemon or cream options to go with our tea, and when heavy cream was directly requested we were given a small dish of milk. Also my daughter’s hot chocolate was so thin it looked like tea. The place was packed, so clearly a very appealing idea for the area but the management just needs to invest in their idea better with a bit more organization, attention to detail and staff.“

“My son got married on June 22nd and Above the Clouds Catering handled the event. We could not have been happier with the food, the service and the wait staff. Not only were the food choices delicious, but the presentation, from the flowers adorning the dinner plates to the tablecloths and napkins, was lovely. We only heard compliments from all the guests about the food. The consensus was that the salmon was the best dish anyone had ever had! The staff sent home, for the bride and groom, a container with all the dinner choices as well as a taste of some of appetizers. The warmed up dinner last night was as delicious as dinner was the night before. I wholeheartedly recommend Above the Clouds Catering. Give them a try for your next event!“

“First visit today, although we live somewhat in the neighborhood and I am already kicking myself for not having got here sooner. Red tabbouleh spicing was very punchy and vivid. Allspice in the stuffed grape leaves make them worth coming back for, not something I think I've ever said about stuffed grape leaves before. Most unforgettable was the red lentil soup with its soft rich velvety texture over two or three layers of different delicious flavors. Great first impression, can't wait to go back, solid A leaning toward A+.“

“I've been using Fresh City Kitchen for work-related catering needs for the last ~2 years. The food is great, always good portions and presented so nicely (and tasty too), but the service and attention to detail from the team sets them above and beyond your typical catering service. The packaging is thoughtful and the team is always more than willing to work with you to accommodate your needs and requests. They're perfect for board meetings when I need consistency and on-time delivery but also ideal for a last-minute team lunch. Last week, we held our company picnic and right when the delivery was due, we were hit with torrential downpours and a thunderstorm. When the delivery arrived, the driver was so patient and assured me he wasn't in a rush and waited for the rain to calm down but still made the effort to set up for me in the drizzle. Their newsletters highlight different team members and they have a charitable program where you can donate your rewards point to a food bank if you're a regular customer... I love everything about their business and know I can count on them to make my job 1000x easier. Thank you, Fresh City Kitchen!“

“Because the majority of their food, dressings, sauces, etc are made in-house and taste incredible. You pay a little more for some of their items but it is definitely worth every penny. And the portion sizes are great too. Their menu takes u from soups, wraps, cold sandwiches, hot sandwiches, salads and hot dishes. The staff are extremely helpful in tweaking an item to fit your needs. James Beard award I’m sure will be coming soon.“
