“I ordered my daughters 6th birthday cake from La Casa Del Pandebono and it literally the best experience I’ve ever had with any business. Not only was the custom cake beautiful and delicious, they provided a level of exceptional customer service that I didn’t even know existed. The “Tangled” cake included a beautiful edible gold crown as it’s center piece, and it was packaged separately. Despite my best efforts to handle it carefully, I accidentally broke it the night before the birthday party. I texted the owner asking if he has recommendations for me to reassemble it (knowing it was unlikely, but I was desperate). He immediately responded and asked for my address, letting me know he’d deliver a new one when he closed the store (I live in another town). I was shocked at his generosity and beyond grateful. As an expression of gratitude, a sent him an additional tip which he politely attempted to reject (I wouldn’t allow it…haha). In return, he delivered not only the grown, but an order of birria tacos and an empanada (which I was admiring when I went to pick up the cake) - literally the best tacos I’ve ever had. I cannot emphasize how touched I was by this experience. La Casa Del Pandebono is a rare gem - baked goods that are truly a work of art, and incredible food that is only surpassed by the unbelievable customer service. I will be a customer for life.“

The croissants we purchased were absolutely delicious, while the macarons were great as well. Street parking was a bit of a challenge but worth the effort. ““Pure Pastry” was highly recommended by “Cakes for Occasions” because they couldn’t make a Vegan cake. So I called and asked Kim to make my son who is a Vegan an all Vegan birthday cake. We were all pleasantly surprised at how delicious and moist his chocolate cake was with vanilla cream frosting with strawberries in the middle and on top was. Five people ate this cake and we all loved the taste. It looked beautiful too. Another thing I also love about this bakery is the cake box. The cake fit in the box very nicely and on the top you could see the cake through a see through film which was an elegant touch. My son’s cake was so good that I had to order a Vegan strawberry vanilla cake for my birthday too. I can’t wait to get it. Kim is so very friendly and such a nice person and she is very easy to get a hold of on the phone. I very highly recommend Kim and “Pure Pastry” for all of your pastry needs.“

“we had a wonderful experience all around on a busy Sunday. The manager, Russ, greeted us with a warm smile, setting the tone for a great evening. we sat outside and Jorge F, took great care of us. He was prompt but we never felt rushed. the food was excellent, the Lobster cones are a great new item. we also had the classic mussels. The grilled salmon was delicious. Russ was leading his team through a busy shift but was able to make time to ensure everything was just right. The best in the Seaport.“

Reservations highly encouraged, but our timing worked out perfectly and we got two seats at the bar! “I love the staff here and I love what they do for the community. I get this is Newbury street, I do.

But the prices here are insane. It's like $12 for a 16ounce. And more ($15) for other drinks at the same size!!!!

I've helped family members setup smoothie shops on Seattle in the past and we usually do $10 for 24ounces at least.

I understand the economy is bad but not every patron on Newbury street has old Boston back bay money.

I think if they decrease prices by a $1.50, they can be supremely successful with more customer traffic.“

“I've come here a number of times and I've always had a good experience. This Tatte location is nice and bright with indoor and outdoor seating. Indoors there are a few booths, some tables, and high top/bar seating.

The employees are helpful and quick! The food is good, I particularly like the turkey avocado sandwich and the cherry and cheese danish.“
