“Such a great experience tonight. We were in town for vacation from Texas and stopped in for dinner. The server was so friendly, relatable, and welcoming. The food was fantastic. Extremely flavorful and just what we needed to and our trip. The chef Nick is incredible and so creative with his dishes. He came out to the table and chatted with us several times. You can tell he loves what he does!!! If you are looking for great food, low key chill environment, and friendly staff… this is the place. Next time we come to town, this place will for sure be our on list of places to come.

“There is an enchilada dish on the menu (I can’t recall the exact name) that is smothered in mole sauce they say is their grandmother’s recipe. This is the greatest mole sauce I have ever had. It is both sweet and spicy… amazingly delicious. Absolutely my favorite dish on the menu. I’ve tried several other items as well and they never disappoint. I’ve heard a few complaints about slow service… you have to remember that they aren’t microwaving junk they bought at the market. This is the real deal! I highly recommend this restaurant.“

“This was my first time here I live out of state currently and I have alpha gal syndrome so I am allergic to mammal. This place we decided to try it out and man oh man! This was my first time eating in a restaurant in a LONG time!!! Absolutely amazing food! It all looks and smells delicious! The staff is very friendly! I highly recommend this place! The menu can be found online and the paper menu in-house is clearly marked with possible allergen information! 10/10.“

“My girls and I attempted to eat at the Salem retreat on our first morning of our trip. We waited 20 minutes for a table after watching 7-10 people be seat AFTER we were given a buzzer to wait. We left and came to Dotty & Rays. We got a table as soon as we walked in, had water brought over immediately, drink and food orders promptly taken. The food was fantastic. We had one part of our order missing and once they realized the issue, it was remedied with speed and courtesy. Everyone was very friendly and renewed our experience in Salem. “Last night I had the pleasure of visiting Volo Craft Pizza in Swampscott, MA — and wow, what an experience! 🌊🍕 The ambiance right by the water is beautiful, with Boston’s skyline in the distance, and the service made us feel right at home. Owners Pina and Tony are so warm and personable — it truly feels like family when you’re there. Now, the food… absolutely incredible. Having grown up with New York City parents (and with my own background working in a pizza restaurant), I know good pizza when I taste it — and this was next-level. Their Detroit-style Double Trouble pizza with hot honey was out of this world. 🍯🔥 The Caesar salad with fresh-grated cheese was crisp and flavorful, and don’t even get me started on the cannolis with chocolate chips and lemon — pure heaven. 🍋🍫 I’d happily drive 35 minutes any day for this. The pizzas are clearly made with love, and I can’t wait to bring my parents back to try it. If you’re anywhere near the North Shore (or even if you’re not) — do yourself a favor and try Volo. Speaking of kids, I especially appreciate the staff encouraging parents to be attentive to their kids during earlier hours so they aren't running around unregulated. Kids need to behave in public places like this!“

Counter service is warm, down-to-earth and efficient. I do find myself wishing there were a few more vegetable and dessert offerings to round out one's meal; the ice cream shop out back has been closed when I've visited.“

“A lovely, busy Greek restaurant. I started my meal with a nice expresso martini; my friend enjoyed the Persephone. I needed a light meal, so I chose the egg lemon soup and mussels. The waiter was right, there was enough for two. My friend had the cod. My only disappointments were the afterdinner masticha drink - a very light and aromatic drink. I think I did not care for their brand. Also the galatoboreko was over saturated with overly sweet syrup and needed more custard. Otherwise, a wonderful meal.“

“This place was absolutely phenomenal! First of all, the view is spectacular. We came on a beautiful day in fall and the temperature was amazing outside. I had my first ever clam chowder and lobster roll here and they were both so amazing. I got the warm lobster roll and it was so filling. I am from Louisiana so I am no stranger to oysters but the east coast oysters here were so delicious and different from southern oysters. I ordered half a dozen and ended up ordering a half dozen more. I could have honestly ordered more if I wasn’t so full. The service here was also amazing. Our waitress was kind and attentive and offered us the best recommendations as it was our first day and restaurant we ate at in Salem. If you are in the Salem area, this place is an absolute must!!“

“We recently ordered from Gallo Nero Ristorante in Peabody for my mother’s 85th birthday, and it was truly one of the BEST dining experiences our family has ever had. Every single dish was exceptional, fresh, flavorful, and clearly made with pride and passion. We ordered a little bit of everything, and every item exceeded our expectations. The Thick Sicilian Pizza, both cheese and pepperoni, was absolutely outstanding, perfectly crisp on the outside, soft on the inside, and packed with rich, authentic flavor. The tomato and mozzarella salad was incredibly fresh, bright, and beautifully balanced. The pastas were the stars of the show. The Lobster Ravioli, generously filled with real lobster, was hands-down the best we have ever tasted anywhere. The Butternut Squash Ravioli was velvety, sweet, and unbelievably fresh. The Eggplant Rollatini was tender, cheesy, and baked to perfection. We also received soft dinner rolls and the most delicious homemade focaccia, courtesy of the owner, and it was out of this world. And speaking of the owner, Nick, deserves special recognition. He went above and beyond for us. He made an exception to deliver the order personally, ensuring the food arrived on time and piping hot, and he took the extra step to double-check that everything was perfect. I LOVE their themed ciders we came in October specifically for their Pocus flight and this past July for their Shark flight to celebrate shark week. We never leave without taking home a pack or two. It is kind of hard to find parking but we make it work. There is no food here but sometimes they have food trucks or you can bring your own food and eat it at the patio.“

“The food was delicious here. The portion size was great! I forgot to take pictures but the food was so very good.

It was hard deciding between 5 Star and 4 Star. I wish we could give fraction of stars because while the food tasted great there are some things that keep it from a perfect 5 stars.

The meat and veggies and huge chunks in the curry so you have to spend time cutting them down to make the bites and the duck was a little dry, not much and the flavor was so good that it almost didn't matter.

So I really think this place deserves like a 4.8 or 4.9 stars. it's so close to just a pure amazing Thai place.“
